PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Presidency, A Historic Error – Tinubu by rumours: 3:16pm On Jun 26, 2016
What is wrong with Nigerians? How did we get here? Is the source more important than the issue raised? Why are people more interested in non-issues than the very essentials? This fiscal federalism subject - does it not make sense? Won't it help this country to become a nation? The rate at which we chase shadows in this country ehhh!

Rather than defend what one doesn't know, we the regular every day Nigerians should all speak with one voice and ask that Halliburton matter be reopened. Our so-called leaders have continued to rip us off and set us against ourselves. And we cheaply fall to their antics. Let this Halliburton matter be treated. #openthehalliburtonmatter.

FamilyRe: Share The Most Hilarious Questions Your Child Has Ever Asked U. by rumours: 10:01pm On May 27, 2016
I read Eph 6:1 this evening to my children during prayer. Then tried to explain it to them. I said "the bible says" Children obey your parent in the Lord. And second son asked me, "daddy, bible, can it talk?". To him, if the "bible says", then the bible should possess mouth to talk. See logic!!
PoliticsRe: Safe Corridor Initiative: 800 Repentant Boko Haram Insurgents Granted Amnesty by rumours: 11:23pm On May 09, 2016
Those of you from the south should read this...

Copied...

In this Nigeria, an average Southerner is a weakling. A born coward with serious complex issues. A fool and an idiot. A slave. A typical example of a butterfly who thinks himself a bird. But this is not even the problem. The biggest problem is, he doesn't even realize he is any of those things.

The only thing an average Southerner is good at is blowing high sounding grammar and acquiring degrees upon degrees but when it comes to things that matter most, he goes to slumber.

An average Southerner has this twisted mindset that the best way to be seen as a patriotic and detribalised Nigerian is by degrading, shaming and disparaging his own tribe for no just cause.

Abacha stole this country blind, such that 20 years after, his loot is still being returned to the country. But in spite of this, people like Buhari publicly swore that he (Abacha) stole nothing. But to an average Southern idiot, Jonathan's 5 year rule is the reason we have no fuel, no light, no good educational system, no nothing! Jonathan is the worst thief in Nigeria history. IBB, Abdulsalam and even Buhari who was accused of stealing billions of dollars as PTF boss were all saints. Why? Because they are Northerners.

Was it not a southern he goat named Obasanjo who publicly accused Jonathan of training snipers in Pyongyang (North Korea) ahead of last year's election?? He made the unfounded allegation just to please his masters upnorth. Now that we have the highest figure of senseless death of civilian in the hands of both state and non-state actors under a Northern president Buhari, have you read any letter from the daughter-in-law fucking pastor OBJ??

When Shiites were massacred in Zaria, it took less than 48 hours for Chidi Odinkalu of the National Human Right Commission to establish a commission of inquiry and summon the army chief but when unarmed IPOB members praying in a school field in Aba were murdered by the security agents, did you hear even a loosely worded condemnation from Chidi Odinkalu??

Check out the list of those asking that Fayose be tried for treason for writing to the Chinese govt over Buhari's $2 loan, they are 80% southerners. And most of them have not even read the said Fayose letter at least to know the reasons Fayose adduced in the said letter. These are the same fools who kept mum when Sango Abdullahi, Sani Kaita and some so called Northern elders publicly threatened to make the country ungovernable if power wasn't returned to the North. When Buhari made his 'dogs and baboon speech and directly caused the death of southern youth corpers, these morons kept mum.

With all the numberless killing of civilians under this regime and its open support for the genocide the world fourth deadliest terror group (the Fulani militant) has continue to visit on Nigerians, have these highly educated southerners bothered to write a strongly worded petition to the ICC just like Nyako, El-rufai and other northerners did to Jonathan??

These southern bastards will gleefully yell 'Kanu should rot in jail, he was preaching hate on radio Biafra!' But these clowns maintained sealed lips over the hateful and inciting broadcast by 'Radio Chanji' and Arewa Radio upNorth. Such is the degree of the soulless hypocrisy of these southern dickheads.

These nitwits were on rooftops telling us how incompetent and corrupt Jonathan was and how his removal was a patriotic duty. Today, things have all gone worse under Buhari and you would think that these southern imbeciles would be at the forefront calling for Buhari's resignation but no! They are the ones defending the daura born ex-soldier even against thesame things for which they crucified Jonathan then.

Now I know why Jonathan appeared weak as president and spent his 5 year term trying to please the North.

He knew he had nobody behind him. He knew that we Southerners are weaklings only good at blowing high sounding but empty grammar.
These 'efulefu' southerners will never question why Buhari has never condemned the murderous activities of his fulani kinsmen but these same 'anumpamas' will read this post and quickly tag me a bigot.
Slaves who think themselves masters!!

PoliticsRe: Saraki Faults EFCC On Clearance Of CCT Chairman by rumours: 8:27pm On Apr 24, 2016
Is Danladi Umar the only judge in Nigeria? Is he that indispensable? Are you guys saying that with the purported weight of evidence against Saraki, another judge will not find him guilty! I thought law follow logic principles! I am 100% for the prosecution and sanction of any criminal leader. But Saraki lawyers have raised a very vital issue which I feel should be seriously looked into. It takes a clean hand to come to equity. I agree that Umar is not guilty yet but tainted and should take the back seat for now. Let another competent judge take over.

So this is the "thank you" you are supposed to tell me for explaining when a case is politically motivated. Please be real and cut out this hypocrisy and double standards. Get me right, I am for the the prosecution and incarceration of any criminal leader. But let things be done well. Matters should done on their merit NOT on vendetta.

Until and unless Nigeria begin to take merit seriously like the West; Until and unless Nigeria do away with primordial and parochial sentiments; Until and unless Nigeria forget the quota system and federal character; Until and unless we put a stop to politicizing any and everything; Etc. This country can never move forward. These Nigerian 'factor' is why it is all motion without movement in this country. I just pray that we wake up before it is too late.
PoliticsRe: Senate Moves To Amend CCB, Administration Of Criminal Justice by rumours: 5:35pm On Apr 12, 2016
If Lawan was Senate President as your party APC so desired, do you think you and I will be discussing this Saraki matter here today? Bukola Saraki would have probably become one of the principal officers in the Senate. You know that this Saraki trial is powered by vendetta and vindictiveness rather than the merit of it. That is what 'politically motivated' and witch hunt means. Hypocrisy and double standards everywhere. Na wa o!

PoliticsRe: First Time In The History Of Nigeria, President Buhari Did This!! by rumours: 6:56pm On Apr 05, 2016
Hero of democracy indeed. A military Junta that murdered democracy with his gang of dissident soldiers has become the real hero of democracy. What a country! Hero of democracy that lost election in 2011, and rather than concede defeat made comments that sparked off violence. Youth Corpers and others died. A hero of democracy indeed.

modelmike7:
In the history of Nigeria democracy, NO PRESIDENT has ever handed over his constitutional executive powers to his Deputy while on vacation. Yar'Adua held on to it even while he was dying, we all remembered how long it took for Jonathan to become President. The only person to ever do it as the constitution demand is President Muhammadu Buhari....... And some wailers keep shouting he is a dictator! Sai Baba, The Real hero of Nigeria Democracy! May God continue to give you the strength and wisdom to make Nigeria Great.

Fashola is overrated. When you guys mention this Fashola, I try to flash back and picture Lagos in my mind. What changed? Fashola is now the minister of power. What has changed? In fact electricity supply has further degenerated. Propaganda is just too much.

It guarantees PDP does not "die prematurely" as they would insist that Wicked Wike uses all the state's income to fund the party!
Remember that was how APC survived the 16 years of PDP tyranny at the centre..... the only difference is that Rivers does not earn what Lagos earns as IGR nor have an astute Fashola as their Governor!

I pity Rivers State, seriously!

And what does this law you quoted prescribe for military juntas and coup plotters for which Mr President is not far from? He who goes to equity must always go with clean hands o! This double standard that is powered by hatred, bigotry and sycophancy will not take this country anywhere. Kettle cannot continue to call the pot black o!

Weedcrusher:
They do not need to find weapons on me before they charge him for treason. The guy case is a dead on arrival case. I listened to radio biafra for about 30 minutes and I realized there are tons of evidence to nail this guy with in court. With all the video evidences showing him asking for ammunition to fight a democratically elected government, there is no way this dude will be charge with anything less than treason

Chapter 6 section 37 sub section 1 of nigerian criminal code act says "any person who levies war against the state, in order to intimidate or overawe the president or the governor of a state is guilty of treason and is liable to the punishment of death".

Sub section 2 of the same section says " any person conspiring with any person either within or outside nigeria to levy war against the state with the intent to cause such levying of war as would be of treason if committed by a citizen of nigeria, is guilty of treason and is liable to the punishment of death".

Section 38 of the same act says "any person who instigate any foreigner to invade nigeria with an armed force is guilty of treason, and is liable to the punishment of death ".

Section 42 says "any person who, without lawful authority, carries on, or makes preparation for carrying on, or aids in or advises the carrying on of, or preparation for, any war or warlike undertaking with, for, by, or against, any authority, or with, for, by, or against any band of citizens, is guilty of a felony, and is liable to imprisonment for life".

Nnamdi Kanu is guilty of all these offenses and his case is a sorry one.

My dear talk is cheap. It's much more than saying "I don't want..." What are you doing about it? Are you working on yourself? What are your selection criteria? Are they materialistic and mundane? If you can answer those and many more sincerely, you will receive true understanding. Good luck. What that guy did is highly condemnable. May God give him a repentant heart.

PoliticsRe: "Blame Northern-Nigeria Muslim Elites For Boko Haram" - Bishop Matthew Kukah by rumours: 11:41am On Nov 30, 2015
Some form of solution to our issues as a country can be found in the report of the 2014 national conference report. But is the president willing to look at it? Is he willing to implement some of it? Will politics and pride allow him? Your guess is as good as mine.

charix:
The time for blame was over since 2010. Now is the time to come together and create a solution.
Nigerians love to either sit down and throw blames or fold their hands in prayer rather than moving to action.

For me the teacher didn't do well with his or her comment. As far as I am concerned, the pupil did not fail it. The pupil even displayed his or her descriptive ability. You that reside in Lagos, when next you are chanced to be at NOUN Ahmadu Bello Way, VI. Kindly add your voice. Encourage them to improve their processes and procedures to make life a little easy for people in remote locations. The resolution of your issue in Lagos is possible in other places and at the same speed. That is my point. People are suffering. I had that issue in the past - two missing results. I sent email, raised the issue on hard copy, visited study centre, etc. All to no avail. The easy advice in everyone's month was register the course again. Let us stop encouraging these noticeable anomalies. Other countries have overcomed them. And youths like you (I suppose you are a youth) should not be justifying mediocrity and calling non-issue. NOUN should stop punishing people. Until they face litigation one day and pay true their nose.

....while I was a student at N.O.U.N.(MBA), I had similar problem (I did not panic a sec). After officially notifying the study centre of my missing scores, I went to Victoria Island to complain. EducationRe: MISSING RESULTS..A huge Embarassment To The National Open University. by rumours: 5:46am On Oct 28, 2015
It's so unfair and insensitive of you to refer to this issue as minor. Anyway it is said that when it is someone else's corpse, then it must be a log of wood. Somebody has articulated and pointed out an issue that has affected and is still affecting many today. And there you are trivializing it. It is right somebody will write exam and not see the result? Is it easy to study and write exam? NOUN should wake. There are Open Universities in other countries. Omotolu, not everyone have the time or resources to travel to VI Lagos to request for statement of result. In fact we need to take this matter beyond nairaland. It needs to go to the Radio. And it is a big ISSUE.

Omotolu:
Request for your statement of result at the Exam and Assessment Department, V.I.. The missing scores may likely not be missing. That's what I did while one of my courses was missing. You don't need to bring that minor issue to Nairaland. That is a minor issue.

We are not leaving anywhere. We must remain in this one Nigeria. Everywhere is home. We are all stuck with one another. No body is stopping any body from traveling to and settling in Eastern Nigeria. Yoruba land = Hausa land = Ijaw land = Igbo land = Tiv land = Egbira land etc etc and ultimately = one Nigeria. All of us condemned what is happening in S/Africa, yet people are here committing the same atrocity. Hypocrites. Nigeria is everybody's home. Which is why everybody says the oil in our Niger Delta our (Nigeria) oil. That is why when it is sold everybody runs to Abuja to get his share. So people should stop making noise. The Obi of Onitsha has also spoken well. That is how a traditional ruler should talk unlike some that will open their mouth and yan dust.

That is our dilemma as a country. We really need to get more matured. We need to start seeing ourselves as one. Let's be basically Nigerians. Browsing through the social media, I read so much hate comments. We are supposed to be one nation bound in FREEDOM, PEACE and UNITY. But is that what we are? I don't think so. See Nigerians making waves in the diaspora without discrimination. But in our home country, the reverse is the case. We really need to learn some lessons here. Please let us improve upon our love for one another. Let us stop the hate speeches. Let's stop fanning the embers of calamity. Let's stop sowing the seed of destruction on social media. If anyone does not have anything good to say, let him or her not comment. Just read. That is what I am beginning to do myself. The spoken word is powerful. I rest my case.
