“He who blames others has a long way to go on his journey. He who blames himself is half way there. He who blames no one has arrived.” - extract from the article by Joe Igbokwe. APC take note. |
God bless the author of this article. |
seunmsg:I hope you are NOT the Seun of this nairaland? If you are, with comment, I am highly disappointed. Try to have a mind of your own. |
martineverest:Does Buhari have guilty conscience? After condemning medical tourism, he set record in medical tourism and became the medical tourist in chief. Has he told us what he shamelessly went to treat abroad and how much of our money he spent? Is that how people with conscience behave? What about the lopsidedness in his approach? Is that conscience? Guy Buhari is a colossal failure. |
sarrki:I like this definition: zombies - creatures devoid of independent and objective reasoning. What about you? |
"I don't think Buhari is naive... " This statement is deep and very pregnant. I hope this woman is not blackmailing the president o! Can the president really sack her? Anyway, I'm just thinking aloud. But then the woman was tired of pretending. unlike the SaiBabarians who are suffering and smiling. |
dustydee:you have a point by saying "...criminalize it and bring it under control ". By history is still good. It helps us to know hypocrites and those who truly remorseful and repentant. Have you sensed those two words in the dealings of this government? Sincerely! |
Yet some NYSC members, despite knowing what happened in 2011, still voted for Buhari. It is unfortunate. |
diadem10:Yes Zik may have genuinely desired mutually beneficial association and cooperation with all as one nation. But you and I have seen over time that it is not working. I am not sure Zik wanted it to turn out like this. For me, if this country cannot be restructured to ensure equity, fairness and justice. Then let it be peacefully divided into the original Northern and Southern Protectorate. We should stop pretending. The North-west and North-east has cheated all of us. It is a wickedly, lopsided relationship. It cannot work. |
Good morning. The meaning is that use and dump is over. The emancipation of the Middle Belt has started. I have been wondering how a people of superior intelligence could become easily manipulatable. |
DeKen:Some hopelessly brainwashed and seemingly hypnotised Southerners know this, yet they don't mind. It is a great spell on them and by the time they will realise themselves, we have all moved on. It is unfortunate. |
Federal Republic of Double Standards. You arrested NK and incarcerated him for 2years. Disobeyed court orders to bail him. Why? Because you claim he committed treason. Now Criminal Arewa 'old men' Youths have clearly committed treason and you are delaying to take on them. A man called his dog Buhari, we were all here and saw how police picked and arraigned him. But the terrorists policeman (Inusa Biu) who vowed to kill 200people should Buhari die, no update. The criminal silence of the police on this is disturbing. What kind of a useless, parasitic and cheating union is this? Nonsense. Those criminal Arewa 'old men' Youths must be arrested and detained for at least 2years. And the FG must disobey court order if they are granted bail. And there bail condition must look like NKs'. |
Dear Femi Adesina, With all due respect, I DON'T believe you. You have lied to us before. You told us not too long ago that the president was hale and hearty. I have classified you with Lia Mohammed. The protest made great impact. That the President has RETURNED is a welcomed development. To God be the glory for seeing the president through. The next thing now is for him to RESUME or... |
Good write up but very economical with the truth. 1. What is exactly wrong with our president? The writer said exactly what the health issues were with most of the examples he sited. 2. Did all the other leaders leave their country on medical tourism? Our president has cumulatively been away for about 6months on the same medical tourism he condemned in 2015! What is integrity without the moral capacity to do the right thing? There is a big moral burden on the President. 3. So no President in the world has resigned on grounds of ill health abi! The writer should have thought in that line too. 4. What about the money going down the drain particularly on account of the jet parked in London. @ £1000/day, it is equal to £100,000 today. But @ £4000/day, it is equal£400,000 today. Let me leave the conversion for the reader. That is for jet alone o! I remembered that jet the other day when I saw a woman on AIT appealing to the public to support her son's bone marrow transplant (N18m). 5. More so we are in the 21st Century and the writer is quoting 1919 and 1921 in countries with working systems. Let me rest my case here for now. |
The British use a people that were easily manipulatable to them to program Nigeria for failure. Consequently, the worst of us have continued to rule the best and brightest of us. And it has been all motion with out movement for donkey years now. So unfortunate. |
Fineman87:Please let's stop this. Though you have a point about the psychological feeling of supremacy that the North will assume of herself from the post. But it's not today naaa! People have written articles and or made comments directly and indirectly that has also given the North that false psychological feeling. The original poster is entitled to his opinion and he is on point too. The question now is, what is the way forward? The South needs to unite. How do we go about achieving that? The solution to the problem of the country, in my opinion lies in the South. The North is NOT more politically enlighten than the South. The reason is that they have a legion of easily manipulatable illiterates. Even a plate of food can do the magic for their so-called clueless elite. The South is too sophisticated and enlighten for that. Look at the 2015 election - people that didn't even understand the word change were ignorantly chanting it. Eg. Okada people that do obey a common traffic light. So the way forward is for the South to come together. Yoruba, Igbo, Idoma, Tiv, Ijaw, Ibibio, Ikwere, Urobo, Etc. Come together and help Nigeria. Let's stop all these internet banter and e-war. The North has failed. |
Frankyboy1:Guy, with all due respect, you are not Igbo. We have lost you. You have been brainwashed. You are just another Joe Igbokwe. cf: "When you hear an Igbo who criticizes Biafra, without taking into consideration the injustices from the Northern caliphate, just know that it is another joe igbokwe talking" - Charles Ogbu. |
See the people talking about double standards! Dear IG, have you arrested Inusa Biu, the terrorist policeman who vowed to kill 200 people should Buhari die? Has Inusa Biu been derobed, disarmed and charged? Have you arrested Arewa youths that issued a treasonable declaration in Kaduna? What about the religious bigots that murdered and mutilated Evangelist Eunice Elisha in Kubwa and Mama Bridget Agbahime in Kano? Police should not talk about double standards. Please!! |
Thanks for this well articulated piece. Let's hope that our quota system compatriots will receive sense and know that they have potential that can be properly harnessed to prosper them. A restructured Nigeria will favor all. There is more to life than depending on a lopsided quota system. |
Poster, are you an Igbo? I doubt so much. I you claim to be, then your paternity is questionable. You are brainwashed. It is unfortunate. |
Naijaguy12345:Guy create a whatsapp group naa! "This is public space. So you guys have been pretending all this while! Like all is well with you!! Now that IPoB has given you the opportunity and the atmosphere to say your mind, you are still pretending. Know that I also personally agree that Kwara and Kogi are more Yoruba than North. So be humble. You have been suffering and smiling. You better be quiet and allow people form solidarity with you. |
Which part of what he said should we NOT believe? It is always good to be open minded. Just take the message, I know you don't like the messenger. He may have touched Buhari, your lord and master. For me, if what he said is the it is, kudos to him. If you ask me, attending school and hospital, and holidaying in Nigeria should be a key condition for political office. One should resign, should one desire to go abroad for those. It will help the system. I am a crusader of the common good. Bobbyjay001: |
Listening to the chief of army staff stutter and evade questions on BBC that day was so disappointing. Buratai was so economical with the truth and couldn't even articulate his thoughts very well. |
This mischief makers from the north sef. Why is the Northeast and Northwest the only ones who don't want this country restructured. Ok, they should team up and start self determination as Arewa Republic naaa. We all will support them. So they can continue to live like 'manimals'. Nonsense. |
@Op. This question can only be powered by abject ignorance and mental laziness. Very unfortunate. |
This is time for synergy in the South. This contempt on the internet that has so much divided the Southern Nigeria has to stop now. The solution to the challenges in this country lies in the South from all indications. That is where rational people are - people that value human life, people that value merit over mediocrity, intellectuals. It is time to close ranks in synergy. Even Benue, Plateau, Kogi, Kwara and Nasarawa people are tired of mediocrity and being used. Please brothers, this is a crucial moment in Nigeria. Let us forgive one another. Yoruba, Igbo, Ibibio, Ikwere, Esan, Ika, etc. Let's also forgive the North. Let's save Nigeria. Let's put system in place. Middle Belt will support. I am sure. I stand for justice, fairness and equity. I stand for the common good. |
Alariwo2:Yes. And judge that Amechi and the presidency tried to bribe. |
This Nwodo is good. He has said it all. He embedded all the ills of this country in that speech. He who has ears, let him hear. Thank you my honourable Ohaneze leader. God bless you. You are an intelligent man, highly diplomatic with very powerful diction. |
Nigerian Animals indeed (Not Army). This is part of what quota system can do to a people. Even the police man that vowed to murder 200 people should Buhari die, there is still no update on the lip service and deceitful 'manhunt' of the police till date. Is Nigeria a serious country? Is Nigeria not a failed state? So sad. |
The internet does not forget... |
They would have preferred animals kingdom to zoo. Just may be. Nonsense. |
Go and take your drugs. And speak for yourself only. Leave the Igbo-speaking people out of your crass ignorance. What is south-south is geography? Have you thought about it. They created a nomenclature to divide and rule you and you are there rejoicing in abject ignorance. Never mind when the chips are down everybody will answer his father's name. Nonsense. bantudra: |
