Good game UTD - the composure was just top-notch. . . .

When I looked at the line-up and didn't see Rooney, I was panicking but the lads just kept their coola and went about the biznizz. It was really re-assuring to see that they didn't panick much; though we lacked a bit of cutting-edge but Berba did a fair amount of good work - very few complaints there; Giggs, Valencia under-performed the most in my reckoning and Macheda really brings some energy to the side, I just wish he can add some assured play to it, seems to lack ideas when he gets the ball sometimes.

Boy. . . . did Nani finish exquisitely - why can't he just do that more often!??

Anybody know chess clubs/gatherings in Lagos mainland or around Surulere where guys can go to play and improve their game there's now a bunch of chess enthusiasts in my 'hood, ever since some guys got a board and started playing on the street; awareness is up and lots of folks are really interested.

Anybody have tips on how to play PES-2010 with the keyboard and how to configure the keys to preffered settings!?

Is it me or what? Why does RONALDO fail to live up to his hype in a big games? I think he's overrated if he can't produce in big matches.

CR9 still has plenty to learn when it comes to these "big games". . . . he just has to understand that its not all about him & the opposition's star player - he should focus on the team play - thats what Messi does. Put ur indivdual performance on the back-burner & play with ur team-mates as long as the whole team plays well, u look good too!

Messi didn't have 2 do anything spectacular or flashy, just pass; simple give & go. . . . . . . & voila, he scores - CR9 tried 2 do a li'l too much when a simple pass woulda been more effective. The boy still has a lot 2 learn; till then, he is eons behind Lionel Messi as a ball player!

Much as i hate to admit. . . . Barca are a far better side than Real can ever be as far as this season is concerned.

Remember one time i was walking my friend's sister home after Wednesday night church service - it wasn't like i was wooing her at the time, per se, but it was fairly evident to most that we were attracted to each other cuz we communicated & hung-out together whenever we were chanced.
I was cool with everybody in their house; her mumsy even knew we were getting along well - her brother (my pal) & her 3 sisters had all but embraced me as their sister's guy; her dad - also knew me well enuff. But she always insisted that i steered clear of her dad & most times, whenever he was near, we would try not to get too close to each other.

On this faithful night, after church, i had the "all clear" to walk her home. . . . . we got to their gate & just chilled there gisting away; mumsy and other sisters came, saw, greeted & went away without incident.
Omo. . .  when her papa show; see raking - i no know sey d man don dey carry am 4 mind 'tey - from like 5 metres to the gate, the man don dey halla, "this is the first and last warning i will give u; i don't want to see u near my daughter again!" If you are familiar with Surulere (Aguda in particular) & u know how busy Brown Road is at evening times, then u can imagine how many people witnessed this. E jus be like make ground open swallow me becuz no hiding place - people jus dey look; d babe sef jus discharge leave me there. . . .  i jus dey smile conny-man smile, dey beg d baba, wetin man fit do!!?

I find it hard to say the young Rafael was at fault for this loss. . . . he was really doing a good job on Ribery down that right - must be a bitter experience for the lad.

Ol boy. . . . my own was National ID palaver oh!

They apprehended me around mosalashi under-bridge for stop 'n search; took out my wallet and started accusing me of forging "Federal Govt" property because the DOB on my national ID card was not legible. See threatening oh. They wanted to cuff me and drag to alakara station in Mushin but i resisted and managed to call my sis who worked around that area.
By the time she stormed the spot with 5 armed MOPOL men in tow, the guys begin dey yarn peace talks. . . . God save dem, dem 4 see shege dat day!

1 time after JAMB exams, then i was in SS2; it was somewhere in 1 of these primary schools off Adeniran Ogunsanya in s/l. . . . managed to summon liver top step up to a certain dame i'd been eyeing alll thru d exam. I'd barely managed to get thru d prelim rounds of intro like "Hi, my name is *****" & stuffs like that; then i went brain-dead. . . . it was like NEPA just turned out the lights in my head. For like 3mins, i was stone-cold, d babe just roundly ignored me & when i finally found something 2 say, guess what it was. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "u look like my cousin, even though i haven't seen her!"

Till today i still ponder what it was i was trying to say or why!!!??

Hilarious stuff. . . .

Well, I have a host of embarrasing toasting experiences - never was good at it; coupled with the fact that i went to an all-boys school.

This happened like 8yrs ago.
Went out to the junction of my street with a friend to buy suya late evening - we were having a "boys" after-party after the reception of his elder sis. All of a sudden, this absolutely gorgeous young lady appeared & i was totally transfixed; back then, didn't have a dame so my guy started urging me to "follow up."
This dame show me pepper, she jus use me do escort service. . . . . . she initially wanted to get on a bike but shunned when i approached & blabbed some gibberish even i couldn't fathom.
Then she started walking; i no wan carry last, i follow up - for good 1hr+, this girl just dey stroll dey go, i dey yarn she no shake; she no jus answer me. Na so i dey sweat, dey breathe, dey shake like leaf. . . . omo dis dame jus bone my side, e be like i dey talk to wall - people jus dey look me - kai, i wan shame die!
In the end sha, when we got to the front of her crib, i eventually said something that broke her - told her she was making me feel like i'd been talking to a wall all the while - she smiled, then laughed & my God, how the sight warmed my heart.
We finally got talking, i mean "real-time, two-way conversation" for another 30mins - exchanged all necessary info & got along well for a couple of yrs.

Jigga really murdered it on the remix of Young Jeezy's "put on". . . . can't remember all the lyrics but anytime i hear that song all i wanna hear is Jigga's verses!

Jigga is just too dope. . . . had so many arguments with peeps over Jigga vs Nas - people just seem to overlook Jigga's ability to wordplay & punchline but rather "see" the party jams & conclude thats all he's got!

Jigga's versatility is just outta this world & that really makes him stand-out!

The Black Album is a classic anyday - I also love reasonable doubt, the city is mine, the life 'n times. . . . recent tracks like Empire State of Mind, D.O.A, forever young, already home; are just testament to his ingenuity & amazingly high musical IQ - the fusion of different genres just keeps him fresher, doper & well-ahead of the game everytime!

The way things are going --- Roma are probably gonna run out as Serie A champs; they ssem to have the momentum at the moment!

Even without Iniesta; Barca still have a lot in the tank to see off Arsenal!

I have. . . . Happened to me in Surulere.

Bad thing was I was gonna travel the next day & return in a forthnight; so i just wasn't sure what to do. But I was told that at the end of every working day; the ATM rolls back & restores the money back into the individual's account for such "mistakes" ; so I travelled, came back in 2 weeks, fortunately for me, my dough was still in there, intact!

Certainly the cat is now amongst the pidgeons in Italy. . . . 3-way race down to the wire hopefully; don't get no better. . . . Roma totally neutralized Inter to the ground, same way they did Chelsea - very good game; both sides showed solid technical adeptness.

& I really loved that banner that said "No Totti, No Party. . ."

I hope AC Milan can win the title this time - they've long been in the doldrums!

Robben is just looking 4 an excuse not to face the UTD defence jare - Wes Brown don dey warm up, wait 4 am!

Good win. . . . tough first half but then again, all in all, considering that Rooney didn't even play at all, this victory is very morale-boosting - & the fact that Nani, Berba are now putting in some considerable amount of endeavor is very pleasing!
