Much as i hate both clubs, Barca played vintage footie last weekend against RM. . . . . total, sexy, champagne football even with a man deficit - i utterly enjoyed every second of it.

Mature football at its very simplest. . . . . pass, move into space, dribble only when necessary, no fancy flicks or tricks. . . .  very easy on the eyes and feet something RM will take years trying to learn again!

ComputersError - How To Fix by RuuDie(op): 1:43pm On Nov 26, 2009
I use a Vista home edition and i get this error message (see screen-shot below) whenever i boot or reboot the system . . . . ultimately, everything works well and i do not get any visible issues with the computer but i just want to know if anybody here has experienced similar, if it indeed is an issue that requires serious attention and if there are any long-term implications; and also how to fix.

Many thanks!

I cited an example here that involved a good deed by a frenchman and arsenal football club. . . . I'd still be up in arms even if it was SAF that did what TH12 did.

so starting this thread has got nothing to do with TH12 personally, my own personal club affiliations or TH12's long-terminated affiliation to Arsenal FC - Barca fans are not shouting, wonder why it is gooners that are creating so much furore!

If you feel TH12 actions are justified - fine, state your cogent reasons and don't turn it into a UTD v Arsenal brawl.

World Cup - Henry: Replay fairest solution
France captain Thierry Henry has admitted the Republic of Ireland deserve to have qualified for the World Cup finals and that the fairest solution would be to replay their controversial play-off.

Henry's double handball in the build up to William Gallas's equaliser saw Les Bleus win through to next summer's tournament 2-1 on aggregate.

The incident has caused uproar in the footballing world and led to accusations that Henry's perceived 'cheating' has damaged the image of the game.

Calls from the Irish camp for a replay have fallen on deaf ears at FIFA, but Henry claims that he is in favour of a rematch.

"Naturally I feel embarrassed at the way that we won and feel extremely sorry for the Irish who definitely deserve to be in South Africa," said Henry.

"Of course the fairest solution would be to replay the game but it is not in my control.

"I have said at the time and I will say again that yes I handled the ball. I am not a cheat and never have been.

"It was an instinctive reaction to a ball that was coming extremely fast in a crowded penalty area.

"As a footballer you do not have the luxury of the television to slow the pace of the ball down 100 times to be able to make a conscious decision.

"People are viewing a slow motion version of what happened and not what I or any other footballer faces in the game.

"If people look at it in full speed you will see that it was an instinctive reaction.

"It is impossible to be anything other than that. I have never denied that the ball was controlled with my hand. I told the Irish players, the referee and the media this after the game.

"There is little more I can do apart from admit that the ball had contact with my hand leading up to our equalising goal and I feel very sorry for the Irish."

In a statement on the FAI website, Repubic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane welcomed Henry's comments and called upon the French Football Federation to grant both skippers' requests for the match to be replayed.

"On behalf of the Republic of Ireland players, I would like to thank Thierry Henry for his statement this afternoon (Friday) that in his opinion a replay would be the fairest option," Keane said.

"As captain of the French team, to make such a statement took courage and honour, and all of us recognise that. As captain of the Republic of Ireland team, I would also be happy for a replay to happen in the interest of fair play so that whichever team qualifies, can do so with their heads held high.

"We can only hope that the French Football Federation might accept the wishes of both captains in the best interests of the game."

Let face it, Hitv has done well for 9jas and still doin it. the monopoly has been broken finally, but
dont let us forget that, the other competitors are not folding their hands and keep looking.
They are waiting for Hitv to make mistake and they capitalise on it. Also we should not forget that
alot of jobless citizen are not gainfully employed thru Hitv initiative, therefore we all need to
enjoin together and protect them from going down.
Here, i will say Hitv, staff and subscribers has the right to educate them on what to do and not to do.
Are we still on this issue of the "unprecedented" tongue crime commited by Henry?Jeezz

I'd like us all to take a look/watch this youtube link of a match between Ireland and Georgia.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jf9fx4ipF4Q I'll appreciate if someone can embed it please.

Match report:

A long ball found its way to Robbie Keane who seemed to control the ball with his hand only for the referee to let play continue. The ball was then cleared but only as far as Kevin Doyle as it deflected off the Waterford man and into the path of Ucha Lobjanidze. The referee then gave a shrill blast of his whistle for what appeared to be an offside by Keane.

Instead to everyones surprise, Hyytia pointed to the penalty spot and deemed Lobjanidze to have handled the ball. Replays showed that Keane had handled the ball in the lead-up to this decision and that Keane was also offside as play continued.

Now y'all can see why Henry's case is unprecedented indeed and while he's solely responsible for bringing the game into disrepute.

Like i posted earlier, what Henry did is awful and shameful but how many of us will be vociferously up in arms as we are now if the situation favours us?I can't remember the Nigerians amongst crucifying Yaks and the ref for allowing Super Eagle's secong goal against the Harambee stars in Nairobi.Do i smell hypocrisy?
Thank you for using the correct language in what u just posted, highlighted above - difference is, TH12 didn't seem to, or appear to, or intended to, or wanted to infact find any english u like and put it there; rather he carried the ball, he didn't just handle it oh. . . . he carried it, not 1ce but 2ce and set it properly for himself!
SportsRe: Ireland vs France WCQ Play-off: Your Thots by RuuDie(op): 1:57pm On Nov 20, 2009
When i opened the did i mention or associate TH12 to any club past or present huh I'm just an aggrieved footie fan, same as any outraged netral out there.

As far as any true football fan is concerned - it is a slap to the face. When Adebayor scored and went to celebrate in defiance in front of the gunners fans, what was the response huh Same applies here - it is not enough that TH12 won the game for france unfairly; he comes out shortly afterwards to gloat about it; offering an utterly cynical view of his misdemeanour.

Well. . . .  if Fifa says "no"; then it is no!
But great men are not those who win by those means - i'll always draw reference to this precedence set by TH12's fellow country man and one-time manager. . . . .

It happened in 1999 when Arsenal won a FA Cup tie against Sheffield United with a goal from Kanu which flouted the convention that a side cedes possession when the ball is put of play following an injury. Arsene Wenger graciously offered Sheffield a replay. Which Arsenal subsequently won, this time in far more satisfactory circumstances.

There is precedent for the invalidation of such results. In 2005, the bureau of the Fifa World Cup organising committee reached a decision to invalidate the result of a World Cup qualification match between Uzbekistan and Bahrain on the basis of a 'technical error by the referee of the match. . . . . . So why can't FIFA overturn this one huh

the FAI has lodged a formal complaint to FIFA - i think thats good. the Irish should force the hand of FIFA into doing something, so lets know if they well and truly stand for "the good of the game" as they say!

Shame on the french - hear sarzosky saying that politicians should not interfere in footie matters; now that his countryman has bleeped & brought shame to them, they wanna dissociate 'emselves from football matters.

Bunch of bloody thieves!
