See, Moyes offered nothing. He cannot etch himself in the memory of the game as someone with innovative ideas.
Past United managers, from Busby to Sexton to even cup specialist Atkinson had something unique that set them apart from their contemporaries at the time. or do we have to talk about Baba Fergie?

What does Moyes offer?
Pellegrini you say? Dude is a near legend in South America. he struggled in Europe initially but he was the captain of the yellow submarine that United never beat in 4 champions league ties despite their lowly status. Moyes has never won a game at Old Trafford,Annfield, Stamford Bridge, Emirates or Etihad as Everton manager.

so again I ask, what exactly does Moyes offer to justify him being appointed United manager?

If Martinez could win the FA cup with Wigan then Moyes has no excuse for failing with United.

He dismantled the backroom staff and appointed his lackeys.
So it's not like he didn't have the freedom to do what he wanted, but because he has nothing upstairs, he bungled that opportunity, even with a side that was league defending champions.

On the matter of him running the ship, the job of Man. United manager is NOT for all and sundry.

As per his first season with Sociedad, where did he end up? mid-table, as is his usual position.
And if he was as good as some of us think he is, why couldn't he conjure up the same magic this season?

For all we want to say about LvG,both good and bad, he has earned the right to do things any way he likes. His career resume speaks for itself. Moyes cannot and should not be allowed to do anything his way till he wins a trophy. He shouldnt even coach a sunday league team sef.

We will see about all this come the end of the season!

I still think Moyes would have been ok only IF he built and ran the team to his own mould.

With him, we may have ended up with players like big Duncan Fergie or Jan Koller, Lee Cattermole, Distin and Titus Bramble in UTD shirt. We may have been playing "crazy don" style footie, but at the end of the day, you let a manager run his ship the way he knows how to. Isn't that what we are allowing LVG do now!?

Sevilla is one of Real Madrid's bogey teams. It is not a matter of form; mostly psychology. They have been getting the better of Real in recent times especially at the Ramon Pizjuan, so they have little fear or respect for them.

If you consider that the stats for mata at United are mostly from wide position then I think he's been phenomenal. In this case I'm sure this is a telling stat.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Mata fan but don't pay the stats any mind. I think he was far better at Chelsea than he is at UTD.

Personally, I didn't really care for who won, just wanted to see a good game.

Yaya Toure (City) and Wayne Rooney (Utd) had absolutely no business being on that pitch... at a point, seeing those two became so annoying. With those two out of the way, I am very sure this would have been a far enjoyable, attacking game.
