Abeg lvg should should keep quiet jor. Players play games today for one club and by the following weekend, move to another club without any fuss. If there is any sort of distraction whatsoever, it is coming from lvg who doesn't know how to be diplomatic! |
StarBoard:Bros. Your boy just port from naija... still dey try arrange myself in my new location! |
StarBoard:Yes, he should have been sent off but you know that will scarcely happen - maybe more likelier in a game of higher competitive value. He is one of the major reasons why a large portion of those spectators are there and we all know these friendlies are just for 'commercial' purposes I will cut LM10 slack any day any time... that little man gets fouled, harangued, 'harassed' and 'rough-handled' on the field in a gazillion ways that the media never gets to spotlight because he just gets on with it most of the time. He may not be the "Cherubic" figure we all think him to be atimes - but he is certainly not a lose cannon either - and I think it is admirable that he can at least, in the public eye, keep his composure most times - regardless of it is just an act or not! |
If the second coming of Jesu doesn't happen, some UTD fans will blame it on David Moyes! |
As well as reeking of dishonesty, badge kissing is among life’s naffer gestures; but when Rafael did it at the Etihad after a stirring 3-2 victory over Manchester City in December 2012, you can be certain he meant it. As the old joke goes: cut him and he literally bleeds red. - - - It is not easy to say exactly why Rafael loved United so much; as with romantic love, it’s generally instinctive and indefinable. Some players just get it. United have been blessed in modern times with the number of apparent outsiders who did so: the list includes Ruud van Nistelrooy, Patrice Evra, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Jaap Stam and now Rafael. It is apt, therefore, that many of Rafael’s best moments as a United player had very little to do with football. They involved defending, it’s true - defending the honour of the club and, yes, the badge. The most famous was when he went feral on a visibly startled Carlos Tevez at the Etihad in 2010, an image that still provides wallpaper for thousands of browsers. As United became ever more susceptible to bullying in the final years of Ferguson, it often felt that Rafael was the only one who would stand up to opponents. - - - In the last two and a bit years, Ferguson, Scholes, Giggs, Evra and now Rafael have left Old Trafford. They all understood and cared deeply about the club; how many of the current squad could you say that about? United used to pride themselves on being different to the nouveau riche clubs in particular, of being built on much stronger foundations, but that can no longer be said. This is not a criticism, because the situation is inescapable. The majority of players no longer represent their club; they represent themselves while wearing the club shirt. - - - - - Rafael was different. He loves Manchester United, and many Manchester United fans love him. That he has left the club is unlikely to change that. Cult status, after all, is for life. http://www.eurosport.com/football/premier-league/2015-2016/rafael-a-cult-hero_sto4845984/story.shtml |
slamoniker:If you both really wanted to be together, you wouldn't give up so easily... Well, you've made a choice, be prepared to be very tough. Cuz this is guaranteed to be tougher than the ordeal with your ex would have been. All the best! |
jackpot:It isn't even about the sex alone... From what she posted, There is absolutely no reason for your ex not to be the one you're about to wed. I have never in my life seen where family comes between a couple that is hell-bent on being together... Never! |
You're about to get married to the wrong guy. EOD! |
StarBoard:I swear it would be nice if someone, anyone at all understood that bloody "philosophy" he yaps about all the time... |
I don't like lvg; he inspires very little confidence in me. I don't think he will bring this club any success or stability, short or long-term. What this club needs more than anything else is what Simeone brought to Athleti... That passion, that hunger, that drive and fire... I do not see it coming from lvg. |
JayKayMaybachz:Yep. I dey observe... |
LVG says Valdes refused to play for the reserves last year...!!? |
C'mon people... Obama isn't a military dictator; the case went to and was decided by the Supreme Court - what was he (Obama) supposed to do? |
kennyrony:Thanks again... I didn't actually think a return was necessary until, like I said, a ticketing agent told me so. The original plan was a one-way, I guess we will just stick to that. Gracias! |
@ VisaOfficer Is it a must for a student visa holder to have a return ticket? |
kennyrony:Thanks man... but you're absolutely certain!? I got that bit from a ticketing agency. |
Is a return ticket (or proof of return) a must for a student visa holder? |
Amya:I think it makes more sense to throw these questions to the male-folk... the MARRIED MEN preferably! |
parrotibaba:If this true, it is a nice move for him! When is Rooney being released abeg ![]() |
Its got to be Rogerio Ceni for me all day, every day... 63 career goals from FKs considering he isn't an outfield player and doesn't take most of the direct FKs. |
dmcdad:Ceni |
@ OP There is no need for back 'n forth arguments... if you are so sure of yourself; go and speak to her parents and make sure the relationship is public... no backyard, 'hide 'n seek' things! ![]() |
chrisley024:Asking for too much are we!!? I don't care if my "destroyer" cannot kick a ball to save his life... my only requirement is a 'ferocious' tackle - winning the ball or not is not even a concern! |
chrisley024:Do you mean "destroyer" literally... Cattermole comes to mind - he is the direct descendant of Keano ![]() |
Villa are going about this the wrong way... Just hoof the ball up to Benteke and have runners feeding off the knock-downs! |
Krasid:I get you, I was wrong... just trying to show that the final would have been held on your home turf had your guys agreed then there wouldn't be any need for your pasha-lity claim ![]() In theory, the reason for not choosing a venue at the start of the season is to wait and see who the two finalists are and then play somewhere that is mutually beneficial, somewhere that can host both sets of fans and does not provide either team with an unfair advantage. That's the theory; in practice, it is a shambles. Both finalists publicly insisted that the Bernabeu was the best option: located in the capital, a roughly similar distance from both cities and easily the biggest available neutral venue, maximizing the number of fans that could attend. They even wrote a joint open letter, requesting that Madrid host the final; again... http://www.espnfc.co.uk/blog/espn-fc-united-blog/68/post/2368212/copa-del-rey-final-venue-for-barcelona-vs-athletic-bilbao-fraught-with-history-and-politics-writes-sid-lowe |
SailorXY:The Sevilla #4... Krychowiak... yes, the pole - shytes over all these dudes all day, every single way! |
Krasid:Before the semi-final second leg, Barcelona's board requested the final be held at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of their fierce rivals Real Madrid, as it is the largest stadium in Spain apart from their own Camp Nou.[22] At the same time, according to Barcelona-based newspaper La Vanguardia, the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Ángel María Villar, wanted the final at the San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao.[22] That decision would give Athletic Bilbao home advantage, but could have been challenged by potential finalist Espanyol, whose team bus was vandalised on their last visit there.[22] On 25 March, the RFEF confirmed that it would be held at Barcelona's Camp Nou.[2] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Copa_del_Rey_Final#Venue http://www.sport-english.com/en/news/barca/barcelona-want-copa-del-rey-final-played-santiago-bernabeu-3988304 |
Venue for the final is known even before the tournament kicks-off for the season... so there is no foul play there! |
raumdeuter:Immobile is an "Inzaghi type poacher" If I hear...I'd give you more than a benefit of doubt if it was a Bayern player we are discussing, but on this one; lai lai... I have seen enough of Ciro to know better. He is by far a more complete, all-round player and scores a variety of goals! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhk-7smIPN8 |
parrotibaba:We don't see gems even when they are right under our noses! |
coogar:Benzema is head, shoulder and waist better than having Rooney as #9... and like it or not, he is in my top-10 STRIKERS in Europe! |
