codedguy1: Too much complaints on the selection. I actually think this is balanced if Mata plays behind Rooney with depay and Januzaz on the flanks.
As per DDG, I support LVG benching him. If we play him for these early games and he eventually leaves we then start to adapt to a new keeper again.
Let him be benched, if he eventually stays then he fights to get his spot back, if he leaves we already have a keeper that has warmed up to the season.
Its unfortunate things have turned out like this but we gave De Gea the chance to make his mistakes and learnt from it, we shud give Romero the same chance too.
My 2cents. A much more sensible and agree-able argument - rather than bench him because he "indicates interest to move to another club" - shuo! |

parrotibaba: Valdez dat quickly posted a picture of him with the reserves on his Twitter page in reply to LVG. Failcow has not said anything up until now cos he knows LVG said the truth n di maria? Did he complain about LVG? only Rafael which was clear that the man didn't fancy him at all. The coach has cleared the picture for the media n fans to see in order to avoid being blamed for not trying to hold on to ddg should things go awry. Had he started ddg n we lost against spurs with ddg losing concentration ,you lot will still blame LVG for not benching him for Romero. It's funny how u pin the fault to the gaffer when the fault is clearly from ddg( for being desperate to return to Spain) n Madrid(for not meeting the player's price tag)
Let's end this discussion here Dude you crack me up... so posting a picture on twitter is the same as having an interview in the press!? If u still cannot see the trend or understand it, then I am sorry I cannot help you! I blame the gaffer for not playing DDG and nothing else - for fvck's sake he is still a UTD player and what sort of rubbish 'distraction' is there that will make him not put in optimum performance!!? |

Do u honestly expect Giggs to say anything to the media when he is not the Gaffer? how many times hv u seen assistant coaches grant interviews to the press? If LVG says that he has dropped in his training then I believe him. When luke shaw came to united ,LVG told him flat out that he wasn't fit n sent him to train with the fitness manager alone or when di maria was wasting possession with his kick n follow methods didn't LVG publicly criticize him or even recently when he criticized tiger for playing poorly in preseason n not to forget when he told failcow to go play with the under 19s because he lacked fitness. LVG says things as it happens not what ppl expect him to say. I tire for una o... it is funny you are not seeing a trend - did Rafael say anything before leaving? Victor Valdez? Angel Di Maria? This for that young man talking aout DDG selling his house, pre-contract agreement etc.
Here's an excerpt relating to CR7's transfer episode back then:
"At Cristiano's request – who has again expressed his desire to leave – and after discussion with the player's representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player," the club said. Ronaldo is yet to comment but the Portugal international has reiterated to Ferguson that he always intended to leave United at the end of the season just gone. The Guardian revealed on 3 April that Madrid had put in place a deal for Ronaldo and that he was intent on leaving Old Trafford, having already agreed his salary and contractual terms. Ronaldo's representatives categorically informed the Spanish club as long ago as last September that he had no intention of remaining in Manchester and pledges were made to ensure the deal went ahead and that everyone involved in the negotiations made a pact not to discuss the agreement in public. United always denied this and their chief executive, David Gill, stipulated on the eve of the Champions League final that there was absolutely no way the club would sell the player. Ferguson had gone even further earlier in the season, saying he would "not sell that mob a virus"
Just drawing parallels between the two cases - both guys indicated interest to leave, had some form of 'tentative' agreement with RM before anything concrete... Look at the disparity between how that of CR7 panned out and that of DDG now. What we have now is fans turning on DDG for no fault of his simply because of DDG's comments and refusal to field him!
And yes, regardless of what LVG says his reasons are, I do believe him - he is not too big to lie! |

parrotibaba: I still don't get ur support for DDG in this matter. According to the latest story ,LVG sent two coaches to talk to him n one of the coach reported that DDG doesn't want to play for united again ,also his attitude in training has dropped meaning that he doesn't want to stay at the club beyond this transfer window. The fact dat DDG hv not said a single word concerning this wahala since January supports the news LVG is currently broadcasting ,that he doesn't want to comment because it will paint him bad is utter rubbish! I'm sure u know that Kelvin De bruyne wants to leave Wolfsburg for City but has refused to drop any hint that he wants to leave n hv even refused to force the move as he fears a backlash from fans n football pundits alike. The fact still remains that DDG is desperate to move to Madrid this summer n LVG + Ed have decided to sell him but Madrid do not want to pay up ,de could hv gone for him last year but they chose this year as his contract is nearing its end so as to get him cheap. Also Ramos was supposed to be part of the deal but Madrid again refused to play ball n now that Ramos has signed/is going to sign a new deal ,United's cards r few ,use him till next year or sell him for cheap this year ,either way ,de win. If DDG wants to see out his contract like Cr7 did ,he will tell the coach or show a positive attitude in training but he has done neither so u don't expect LVG to start formulating lies in order to freeze out DDG ,he is just speaking the plain ,rough truth about the matter in his usual blunt n straightforward way. He is not the kind of man to hold a player's hand n feed him milk. I think he has protected de gea from the media for so long ,longer than I expected n not for once has DDG returned that favor since this saga started in January. LVG noticed the drop in his training n against PSG so he has d right to bench him n also justify his decision to. Again... one side of the story - LVG's side! How do you know he is not showing positive attitude in training - besides LVG and his sidekicks, who else has suggested this!!? Perhaps we should ask a 'neutral' like Giiggs... why is LVG the only one speaking, has he placed a gag on all the other staff? Anyway, time will tell... My take is, he is not managing these situations to my liking... how many disgruntled players in the space of just two months. Make una sef dey think am na... shuo! |

Has de gea denied having a conversation with those coaches? Why has de gea not come out to say WHAT HE TOLD the coaches? So its de gea that has sold his house in manchester, signed a pre agreement with madrid and has refused to extend his contract that we should believe? His comments were unusual, not just in the way they were delivered but because they also go against the club’s usual policy of trying to keep private conversations in-house. De Gea’s camp have been saying that he would have been happy to play and that it was wrong of Van Gaal to say he was not fully focused. Van Gaal’s version of events sheds an entirely new light on the affair, with little over two weeks to determine whether De Gea will get the move he craves or be left contemplating a difficult season running down the final year of his contract at a club he plainly wants to leave. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/13/david-de-gea-louis-van-gaal-manchester-united |

DDG cannot come out and say anything publicly because it is a no-win for him. It could be seen as speaking out of turn, disrespectful to the club even. If he comes out to say anything now sef, would you believe? Because LVG comments has almost certainly poisoned the minds of many fans - and they may not be true! I do not have an issue with signing players but whatever we do, it needs to be immediately obvious and at least give an indication of the direction the club is moving towards or this 'philosophy' thing LVG speaks about.
Muslera - he may well be a gem; but what is the sense in signing him now. Johnstone, Lindegaard, Valdez, De Gea, Romero... we are just going to end up with as many GKs as Liverpool have strikers. We can just make use of one of them; surely they can't all be 'useless'!
Pedro - a more than decent footballer no doubts but for me, he comes with too many questions attached. What will be his role specifically and how is he going to fit into UTD's long-term playing style!? Will he be comfortable with how LVG will use him? Given that he is coming from a relatively stable setting in FCB, can he adapt to the changes UTD will surely offer? |
