SailorXY: I no k now wetin una dey gain seeing Man Utd struggle! Why exactly must Giggs start? Gimmie just one tangible reasonExperience pally...experience! Wetin dat Baba carry for brain...ol' boy, ti be' ![]() |
We really should get Baines. |
FBS: "Assists" do have their places in football. Never underate them. There is no "under-rating" going on here...but just think of it; all those goals from midfield added to what CR7 and perhaps Gareth Bale can provide... Ozil, is fantastic no doubts, but doesn't afford your side a lot of "variety"! |
Giggs has to start... Wetin Baba dey see wen e siddon ontop stool, Omo boy no go see even if e climb NEPA pole! |
SailorXY: LollzThat is the thing about football --- no matter how "skill-less" a player is, he can win over hearts by being serious and giving his all --- especially in the Uk. Roy Keane, Fletcher and J.S Park weren't particularly "bundle of skills" either! |
If Navas is starting, that is going to be a big, big worry! |
BabaAlabi: If a young girl who is about 19 years becomes pregnant, she says she wants to keep the baby because society believes abortion is wrong...she has no money, hey boyfriend denied the baby and her family rejects her for being a slut...tell me what kind of world that foetus is gonna come in to? What kind of environment? Many hypocrites shouting abortion is murder no matter what, how many motherless baby homes have you donated to? That armed robber that robbed you and raped your wife all in the belief that life has been unfair to him because his mother abandoned him in a filthy toilet, did you welcome him and thank him for raping your wife? How have you supported the welfare of the orphanages? You sum it up well! |
Everybody just assumes the US and (or) its allies are funding or arming the rebels... can anyone prove it beyond reasonable doubt!!? |
FBS: The standout "player" so far is Diego Lopez.Highest assists or goals... which would you rather have!? Isco is the "new prince"! |
I think folks be cutting Mourinho way too much slack than he deserves... if it was a Moyes or Pellegrini, they would have nearly been hounded them to the stakes. Mourinho has lost it --- he was totally demystified in Spain; beneath the bravado is a mind with skillset as limited as Anthonio Valencia on the right wing. I read in utter disbelief how some Eurosport analyst "hailed" Chelsea's disgustingly spineless display against UTD at Old Trafford couple of weeks back as a "tactical masterpiece" in defending, a show of JM's ingenuity over an inexperienced DM. Claiming he set out to "frustrate" and "stifle" UTD and succeeded. Fastforward a couple of weeks, the same team is "immature" and "without steel"!? |
Abegi no need to fan the embers again... there is nothing to that Rooney incident that should bring dis-unity to our strikeforce and entire team --- wazza elected to go for goal himself and missed, simple as that --- it is no big deal, strikers are allowed to be selfish sometimes, especially when they are on a roll! Not the best of games, but encouraging nonetheless... Smalling impressed; this was one of his better performances. We might not be playing very well, be we have a "stable", "united" house again... and like I will continue to say, this "stability" and understanding that has come from the relative continuity even in transition, will be our greatest asset. This bunch of "mediocres" will stun Europe... #InMoyesWeTrust# |
dayokanu: 1. Nani is the only talented winger with the likelihood or remote possibility of being world classDayo. Thank you very much for this... although I am also becoming increasingly frustrated by Giggsy, but he is probably still the BEST WINGER we have. We cannot blame him for being OLD but the desire he shows; the zeal, drive, commitment and spirit he exhibits makes me wish I could take 10-15 years off him and add to my age perhaps his body will respond better to what his MIND desires. To me, everything Giggs embodies is what is lacking in many of our youngsters - for some reason, they just think they have "arrived" and refuse to learn, to develop! My mind still cuts back to a certain picture some seasons ago when our team was badly "stinking the joint" at Wigan - Giggs was seated with Sir Bobby, Obertan and Bebe...whilst the older men where studying the game intently (probably wondering how things could be improved), worry etched all over their faces, the other younger guys were busy typing away on their cellphones (I'd be damned if they wasn't tweeting or some other useless social media). No regard, no remorse at all...! Valencia, I can cut a lot of slack - he is a VERY LIMITED player in terms of skillset but he makes up for that by being a workhorse...and his attitude cannot be faulted, at least it is there for all to see that he is wearing his heart on his sleeve! Nani I can never forgive ![]() For all the bundles of skill and talent we know he has, he should be vying for ballon d' ors - just imagine a Giggs or Valencia with Nani's skill? |
And Bale gets off the mark...! I'm loving this ![]() |
Yeeeee. Na mikel dat smallie dey do "tie wrapper" so!? ![]() |
Not a pretty performance, but a welcome win in the sense that it gets a bit of "unity" in the house...fans not giving Rooney the stick, Rooney himself looking like he is "behaving". Some off the field harmony will definitely make Moye's job a tad better. Aubameyang...Europe's next big thing! ![]() |
Januzaj over Young anyday... |
Meen. Januzaj is the sh.y.te! |
the only positive thing about this team is Mikel...better opposition and we will be bitterly exposed. There is still a lot of work to be done yet! |
These Malawians aren't that bad oh...if the eagles aren't careful, they might score! |
Super eagles jersey nkor? |
Kaka. One player you cannot help but love, no matter the colour of his jersey! Top, top man!!! |
If we'd bought Cesc, Rooney would be history by now...! Right now, Fab4 is evolving into something else. Everytime Messi is absent (which isn't much anyway), it is Fab that usually takes up the false-9 role...in my opinion, he's been quite impressive! |
coogar: maybe & maybe not........let's do a pub quiz briefly. in the top 6, which club do you think have the best midfield? The long and short of it is how well those combos work as a UNIT. How quickly they will jell and form an understaning! Going by the indivdual "names" alone is not enough. In my opinion, doemstically at least, the teams with the 'fewest' changes may have a slight edge! |
StarBoard: Guy, forget that thing.First of all, MY OPTIMISM is not dependent on events that take place on the field or market at pre-season...furthermore, YOU are in NO position to tell what, why and how OPTIMISTIC I am! For the records, I am ready to put my money where my mouth us --- MANCHESTER UNITED will be 2013/2014 EPL Champs under the stewardship of a certain "gollum" DAVID MOYES!!! |
chamotex: Oh so you know we have 'mediocre' players...but you come here to berate the likes of Welbeck and coWhat is hypocrisy here now, I have never said we have the 'best' players.... and who says a bunch of "mediocres" cannot be forged into a unit of world beaters!!!? FYI. Welbeck is a plank - two notches below "mediocre" - maybe someday English language will find a word for that level of "rubbishnes"! |
Ok. I am not happy about the money spent...I'd rather we kept it and used to service debts, but anyhow, e don be! On another note, I am over the moon in delight...we still have our squad full of "mediocres" --- no "special" players, no "van damme" or "superman"! Can't wait for these bunch of "mediocres" to rub sh*y*te in the faces of all the doubters and naysayers!! Yes, I BELIEVE!!! |
StarBoard: Or get rid of him permanently. I'm not sure another loan is worth it,given all the effort invested in the chump. And folks said O was "beefing"...Welbeck should be converted to centre-back! |
Herrera is versatile...can play attack or defense midfield --- would be a sensible enough signing but that money *coughs* I'd rather we'd tried our luck with Ivan Rakitic --- as experienced and versatile as they come! |
coogar: why buy herrerra for £36m when ozil is £42m?Personally...I don't even want us to buy any player over the 20-25 million mark. I prefer "low profile", "mediocre" players because it makes the victory all the more sweeter - morally and otherwise! |
UTD have offered 36mil for Herrea...deal is close to being sealed! Fccuukk! |
nitrogen: All these brits are rubbish, they don't have anything upstairs, all of them, wilshere, cleverly, young, walcott, and others, they can only run around and they lack creativity in their thinking.Out of a bunch of mediocres and average players, you make a team! The Swansea, Dortmund, PSV we admire so much today, are they not all a bunch of "mediocres"!? We've won the ligue in the past with this same set of "sh*tty" players and even worse; we will do so again! Cut the lads some slack --- barely 3 games in and folks are already whining away, shuo...are we Arsenal!!? |
The mark of a great player --- he "carried" Spurs whenever they needed someone to step up to the plate and make things happen. It doesn't matter where you do it, but as long as you can do it consistently, then you gotta be special! Super Gareth Bale...keep growing from strength to strength. You absolutely deserve the fame! |
