For once I agree with Coogar. . .we have to play to our strength. Which, right now, is an attack than can do 'serious' damage to any opposition on its day! Its not like they have the best of defences either - we've got to go out there firing on all cylinders!!! |
montelik: 06/07 was the last time we won the league playing mostly Scholes and Carrick. We didn't win the league last season mostly playing them and in fact blew a huge lead. 10/11 Scholes didn't play much, we played Carrick and Fletcher, then after his injury it was Carrick and Giggs for the most part. Scholes and Carrick as a starting duo is a recipe for 3rd or 4th.Does this any way refute what I said earlier. . .!!? RuuDie: It is SAF. . .so I won't be surprised to see a Carrick+Scholes combo! Can't blame him either, we've won the ligue mostly playing that pair!! |
montelik: Assuming you are correct, that would mean a midfield of Valencia, Scholes, Carrick & Nani/Young. If we play Scholes and Carrick in the middle with wingers and RVP and Rooney upfront. It would take a miracle for to get a half decent/convincing result. It is SAF. . .so I won't be surprised to see a Carrick+Scholes combo! Can't blame him either, we've won the ligue mostly playing that pair!! |
----------DDG----------- Rafa---Rio--Evans---Evra ----Carrick---Fletcher/Tom.C--- Valencia----------Nani ------Rooney--------- --------RVP----- I think its high time we made some changes and started considering Buttner for the #11 position. . .he is far more effective there than at the back. He and Kagawa can alternate for that spot. Rooney, permanent #10 alternated with Kagawa atimes. Ando, Carrick, Fletcher, Cleverly have the center to themselves. Valencia can also be moved further back as an alternate to Rafael (especially in some of such 'big' games); let Young and Nani sweat it out over who gets to play on #7. This team needs a bit of order and stability! |
montelik: Left to me I would playDoubt that this guys will start. . .with the exception of DW19, there's an 80% chance of them not starting! |

Nice one, really picturesque... and I also love the way you eased into the conversation after the suspense - very natural. Well Done!!! ![]() |
The game was pleading for Cesc, off all the Barca players he seems to have an understanding with Messi that is unrivaled. . .and whenever he is on, Messi moves further up into the opposition box! Alexis should have gone off for Cesc - with Messi making those runs into the box (rather than Alexis), the threats would have been higher! |
I can understand why SAF is upset. . .this is quite akin to what Suarez did to Dalgish. Surely there must have been an agreement that the T-shirts should be worn and if Rio reneged on that, then he should be punished! |
chamotex: Please |
coogar: we must beat chelsea next week - city's win today means if we don't win next week, we would slip to 3rd or even 4th! to beat chelsea, we would need our young midfielders in the middle of the pitch to stop the rampaging mata-eden-oscar triumvirate!I doubt if RDM would risk it; one of those guys is not going to play! |
The "NEW" Special One ![]()
|
debosky: Welbeck? If that be the case, lets play "goalkeeper-less"; heck, I wouldn't even recommend the m0r0n for ball-boy at Onikan sef!!! ![]() |
Next up, Stoke City. . . no prize for guessing who is going to be in goal for this one! |
The bulk of the ACN campaign train followers I have seen in Akure don't look like indigenes! Mimiko does have quite substantial local support here, even though ACN are really striving hard to upturn that. . .campaigning has been very, very frighteningly intense I must say. I fear for how things might pan out come Saturday! . . .the most ridiculous campaign line I heard was "we can build a refinery in Ondo state. . ." that *ish cracked me up! ![]() |
Those keke-napeps are just as risky as okadas, maybe even more sef. . . the things are just so darn flimsy, never mind the three-wheels! |
I don't think I'd subscribe to asking her again and again. No way! If indeed I have flaws why didn't she point them out while we were dating or tried to help me with correcting them or better yet, try her darnest to tolerate 'em - or isn't that the whole idea of "love"!? Well, she can go look for her "Mr Perfect". . . whilst I go the other way in search of mine! |
The inscription on that Hoodie says it all. . ."SWAG DON'T COME CHEAP!"--- THA PREZZZ remains the man and till thy kingdom come, I'll be his fan! He may not have won at the BBA show, but he didn't lose an awful lot either. Carry dey Go Prezzo Baba --- more success to you ![]() |
The only reason Chicharito's loss of form (if any), is the gaffer's insistence on pairing Rooney + sh*tty Welbeck at every given opportunity. |
I find nothing wrong with the write-up; just that, as with virtually every piece of written communication, it can be interpreted differently - and perhaps not in the context originally intended! From literary stand-point, it is well-written; quite a thought-provoking piece and maybe the timing of it places it in danger of being taken for something other than what it ought to be but I believe when a bit of sting has gone out of the initial public reaction to the incident in question, people will reason a great deal better with the message! Personally, I can relate with the writer's perspective. . .this very instant, I am totally devoid of any shred of emotion - no anger, grief not even sympathy - maybe because I am so far removed from the entire incident or perhaps, I am not just privy to some info, or better still can not "feel" significantly aggrieved because the "shoes are not on my feet". So I reckon the writer was probably in this same frame of mind or something close when this piece was composed. At the end of the day, all the arguments and counters still come down to the same things. . .the Govt, the system, the people. . .which, by my understanding, is what the write-up supposedly postulates! There will be publicity, there will be protests, there will be outrage. . .but after a couple of weeks or months, it all dies down and we all go back to our daily lives as though nothing ever happened. Was justice ever really served!? We will probably never know because in truth, not a lot of people care enough to fight another man's battle, the few that do, do not get the backing required to keep the momentum of the struggle up to any meaningful end. This is the situation in which we find ourselves. An endless cycle, where nothing ever seems to get done (especially where the common man is involved) and people have to take to other alternative means to get some measure of respite or satisfaction. |
texazzpete: Don't be a m0r0n. It should be obvious to even a 15 year old that his comment wasn't about bad grammar or spelling but on the poor answer to the question.Chuck234. Take note! |
honeypie311: since u are an expert in the English language, why not give a coherent correction rather than mocking dat fellow with ur own 'perfect grammer' smh...With IQ no higher than the average temperature in Siberia, I don't expect you to understand what my initial post was trying to address! |
Question: Why do Nigerian girls turn nasty when in groups? After we go dey blame JAMB, NECO and WAEC ![]() |
chamotex: Why does Evra go up for corners though...what's his business in the box...isn't he like 4'4?Na wa to you oh! You for ask why e dey bother to defend corners and contest aerial balls too. . . |
Can Welbeck just have a long injury spell so somebody else can play!!? ![]() |
Game Over! 0-3 to UTD - Cleverly ![]() |
usbcable: worse case scenario 11 points gap. ![]() I see you've eaten a bit of the proverbial humble pie lately ![]() |
montelik: what has this forum turned into. even when we are winning and doing well, there has to be scapegoating and bashing. because the usual suspect has scored today (evra) it will be others.Just because we are winning, doesn't mean everything is alright. . .Welbeck is definitely not alright! ![]() |
ogbeche77: It a fraud that Welbeck still start Utd matches.. He's definately dating Fergie's daughter coogar: i have washed my hands off welbeck - his football brain is smaller than a mustard seed. he could have copped himself a hatrick easily tonight! what a pleb!!! after watching this, fergie should now realise giggs/scholes shouldn't be starting any game for us again! they slow us down and they have nothing to offer defensively! we have coped well with newcastle's combative midfield! when cleverley tires, bring on anderson!
I never expect anything from Welbeck when close to goal as I know he just doesnt have a striker or finisher's quality. I still like him, he's a good player.
Scales falling off the eyes. . .!? You guys are 2 seasons too late! ![]() |
RvP is looking at the UTD #19, thinking, "I never want to play on the same side as this dude. . .ever again!" ![]() |
This is how we should defend. . .bodies behind the ball and getting stuck in rather than shadow-marking! |
Fellas just do me a massive favor. . . and give those hopeless Madristas a good hiding! ![]() |
