He joined the Kenyan Judiciary in the early 1980s as a High Court judge and rose to become a Court of Appeal Judge in the late 1980s.

I think part of it is lack of common sense. Why would you ask for 2 yr rent for a house. In Kenya there are house for everyone and for every price. Starting from 10 dollars or less in slums - to even 10,000usd per month. And everywhere there is TO LET sign. You pay 1 month rent - and deposit - and you're done.

Nigerians when they come to Nairobi - and Somalis - insist on paying 1yr or so rent - and then they proceed to pack themselves like sardines in a house - and in 2yrs they've completed destroyed the house.
