Kenya is second largest source of Remittance to many countries in East Africa after US. FDI or size of diaspora is nothing to celebrate. I am pretty sure we are now one source of REMITTANCE to your poor country. Nigerians in Kenya are busy sending your money.

In fact Nigeria has a large population reflects the fact that it has been relatively developed for quite sometime. Its the reason why China and Indian also have large populations. Bar Asia and sections of Meso-America, Nigerian regions were unique in Africa for having population densities far in advance of some regions of Europe. For example Yoruba's lived at greater population densities than Slavic groups in Eastern Europe well into the early 20th Century!!!

Nigeria is so poor it has not been able to conduct census. Census is critical data - base data - for many things - and Nigeria apparently cannot find Naira to do the basic counting of it's people.

Kenya poverty data is from 2016 household survey - I think next year (2019) when we do census - we will get more insight into the economy, poverty, etc.
