No he didnt. He refused to discuss the issues - as it's yet NOT prime in kenya. You cannot use culture to oppose LBGT+. The best stance is to say no comment. Besides any such laws are almost ineffective. So unless you're oil rich Saudi Arabia - no need throwing your weight with african culture. It's a non issues. Let discuss real issues - lack of food, basic housing, healthcare and such. 1st world versus 3rd world issues. Let the 1st world deal with such issues...gays, abortion, ufos...but africans we have people sleeping hungry...sex and how not or to have is least of our concerns.
Shma2022:
But he backed up Uhuru's take on the illegality of gay culture in Kenya, Nah? He categorically stated that we have our own culture that we believe in & we must be respected on that (meaning gaysm & LGBTQ are not one of them_)

I agree with him 100%. WHY?

1. He knows LGBTQ is a westernized culture.
2. He's not about to impose restrictions when it balloons and the people of Kenya accept it.
3. He believes the act is not right... But respects those who do that.
4. He still stands with its illegality. It won't be legal anytime soon.

Corruption is not a problem that goes away. You have to build institutions that can independently fight corruption - for ages. Firing squad in this age of course is not acceptable. Death sentences are not even acceptable in Kenya anymore.

The genesis of kenya state capture in 60s - with
1) Transfer of wealth from colonial settlers (kenya was direct colony unlike most of Ghana) - some political elite - basically transferred huge land/companies/wealth from colonial master to themselves - same thing happened in South Africa and Zimbwabwe. The Kenyatta for example simply took over 0.5 to even 1m acres of land - these were land meant to redistribute back to all the landless.
2) When they were done that grabbing the colonial era wealth - in mid 1970s - kenya had commission of inquiry popularly known as Ndegwa(Public Service Structure and Remuneration Commission (1970-71) - that basically because Africans were behind Asian and white in enteprise - civil servants who were often the only educated africans - would be allowed to own business. Something akin to South Africa BEEE thing.

What Ndegwa commission did was basically make civil servants who suppose to be regulators and arbitrers in the market - the players - the conflict of interest - the regulatory capture - has meant we have capatalism that has not delivered. Most big companies are owned politicians - or top civil servants - who are suppose to be umpires in the market.

Liberalization of the 90s - didnt help much - as the same crew took over the privatisaiton - added former state enterprise to their enormous wealth.

The only saving grace and refuge for most kenyans then became the informal sector - jua kali in kenya - and this where we are.

The solutions therefore is to
1) Fully embrace the informal sector (Hustler Revolution) - grow it to SMES - finally to have large formal sectors emerge from it
2) Kill the mostly fake formal sector by forcing them to compete equally, pay taxes equallyh and adhers to rules like everyone else. Fix the market failures. Kill monopolies and such anti-competition stunts.
3) Retain or attract only formal sector that trulys plays by the market rules.

So Ruto manifesto is to spend money supporting informal sector - kill the state captured formal sectors by fixing the marke- only those can compete without state or incest - will thrive - and economy will finally realize the full promise and potential as capitalist economy.

what Rawlings dealt with was corruption and the best way to deal with the canker of corruption is what Rawlings did.

Yes their wild nomadic spirit is hard to be confined like in places Europe. They dont make excellent workers because of their pride - and are natural businessmen. Those in US and middle east thrive better because it easier to start business. Kenya and Africa offers them huge opportunities for their enterprising & nomadic spirit.

kikuyu1:
Imo this may already be happening. South B and Nairobi West are filled with Somalis from all over Holland, the UK, the US and other places. Liberal Europe isn't good for their psyche- their young tend to crash and burn in those environments.
Also as they become more exposed they realize our educational system gives a behavioral foundation completely missing in Sweden or Scandinavia where I'm sure you know anything goes.

We dont want Ghana purge- Jerry Rawling - basically dealt with entire political and economic elite through firing squads - and exiled even more - Ghana suffered huge brain drain.

"He and the AFRC ruled for 112 days and arranged the execution by firing squad of eight military officers, including Generals Kotei, Joy Amedume, Roger Felli, and Utuka, as well as the three former Ghanaian heads of state; Acheampong, Akuffo, and Akwasi Afrifa.[10][4]

These executions were dramatic events in the history of Ghana, which had previously suffered few instances of political violence. Rawlings later implemented a much wider "house-cleaning exercise" involving the killings and abduction of over 300 Ghanaians."

Not of all of them get shelved. Kenya elections has been hailed as one world most transparent for example - it's product of international commission of inquiry. South Africa - Truth and Reconcilliation inquiry - has been hailed for solving many deep seated problems.

Ghana state capture was largely dealt with by the strongman Rawling - who simply purged - killing and exiling - the entire political/economic elite of Ghana - without a due process - just mob lynching.

Kenya has to deal with it's own challenges within the legal framework - and I cannot think of any other way - apart from quasi-judicial inquiry. Such a commission should be headed by eminent chief justices - and those names should be publicly shamed or tried - where the standards of proof is lower than in criminal trials - not convincted but recommend for criminal trials wherever possible but more importantly recommendation made to parliament and regulatory bodies to entangle the private and public sector from tiny elite in the future - by for example disallowing public servants and their relatives from engaging in private business.

Just40:
As if we don't know that inquiry reports just get shelved...

If you want to destroy state capture, just watch how Ghana does it. Cut the money flow and see them squabble

So far from supreme court - so good - seem they have cut through a lot of BS already - and are more focussed than in 2017 on the real issues - the numbers. As for Kenyatta clan - they brought this to themselves. They understimated WSR. They keep digging - instead of trying to work out a deal - because either way they have lot to lose. Their last option is SCORK - but it appears Raila case is defective if not abuse of the court process - they presented
1) Fake Githongo logs - poorly copy-paste of 2017 logs - the audacity!!!
2) Fake form 34As -poorly photoshopped from online forms - not a single carbon copy from their agents- and
3) the last leg is the four rogue commissioners - who had no real role in the election - were okay with everything until last minute - and now are raising extranous issues starting from last year.
Again the problem remain - Raila was granted in 2017 - Africa 1st and very rare nullification - but he gave the judges the middle finger and didnt go back for election. This time round he has said he will only go to ballot if Chebukati is out - Chebukati will remain until his term end in Jan 2023. The commission itself is in disarray and cannot organize anything.

So yes if SCORK use their wisdom - they will validate Ruto win - and throw Uhuru & Raila under the bus.

kikuyu1:
Last night in Westlands I was with a few of the wider Kenyatta clan-this incl the Muigais (not Mungais), Gathechas, Koinanges and Muhohos. It was most amusing to observe their body language. For the first time since Ruto was declared winner they were uncertain. Their previous misplaced confidence had E-V-A-P-O-R-A-T-E-D. There were recriminations galore: "we should have controlled the agents ourselves;" "WTF exactly happened!";" why can't RAO ever organise ishyt properly?" etc, etc.
They're out of options.
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp20182: 11:47am On Aug 30, 2022
Yes until 5th Sept - next Monday - full hearing to start tomorrow and end on Sunday. Monday we get a verdict. So far it appears the request to retally or recount - and declare Raila winner has fallen. Only 15 polling stations will be recounted. What remain therefore is either to validate or invalidate - and if they invalidate - how to deal with IEBC which is dysfunctional.

Kenya election update.I landed yesterday after detour to Zanzibar kazikazi semi autonomous island.Kenya are breezing through the world least bloodiest revolution. The police head is possibly dead..other coup plotters have a week to save their lives.. including Kenya deputy chief of staff..Lt gen Ogolla what sad way to end his career.... having risen to airforce commander... Kenya begin the week of long knives and we might emerge from hustler revolution with minimal death or not.Last week the Kenya top security council had gone to presidential tallying center n tried to force their candidate declared winner if not a re run..they failed. One of them Kenya vice chief of staff Lt Gen Ogolla, Police Inspector General,Kenya Solicitor general and others members of National Security Council.Their attempted coup has failed. The police chief is either dead or in ICU.Now battle shift to supreme court...they had 14 days to decide..now 7 days left.. election commission is totally dysfunctional..I took leave to watch the drama live

They have a week to intimidate/bribe the supreme court of kenya - and then they are done. Ruto doesnt have mercy for lazy, stupid and saboteurs. They know it. They will be running out of kenya to exile. Ruto will crack the whip on political class on day one, public service day 2, and by day 3 - it will be very clear - there is law & order in kenya - and things will start to move smoothly. You cannot get things done if you're nice. This is Uhuru biggest failure...trying to get loved. For Ruto it simple - get it done or you're fired. You cant do meeting 5am until 10pm in evening go home. There will be no lazy bones. Kenyattas and Moi - plan has been ready - they will be a commision of inquiry on them - on state capture- and the recommendation will be executed. They cannot cry for political cover because kalenjin and kikuyu have rejected them. They will lose money but will avoid criminal charges. The rest will be tried for criminal offences.

kikuyu1:
I hope there are srs plans in the pipeline. If not dealt with once and for and all they'll screw us endlessly with their corruptly acquired trillions. We'll be endlessly destabilised and sabotaged at every turn. Btw,everyone else I've been telling you for the longest my problem with Wanjohi's enormous entitlement- do you now see my point?
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp20182: 10:46am On Aug 28, 2022
It's very tragic turn on events. Thankfully Chebukati stood tall and brave. Those are very unfortunate treasonous acts that will see Kenyatta, Mois and all their enablers being sent to cleaners. They underestimated Ruto - and now they have on week where they should pray for Supreme Court to listen to their intimidation/bribery - and occasion a constitutional crisis - by annualing Ruto win.

I think Supreme Court will do the right thing - Raila had all the advantages one can hope for going into this election - he lost to an underdog by being lazy and overconfident as always- he didnt even do basic stuff like having agents - he doesnt want a re-run - he wants the court to make him president - and if not to occasion a constitutional crisis.

It will be a constitutional crisis to allow re-run when Uhuru and Raila will intimidate IEBC or make it impossible for another re-run where they will lose. What will happen Uhuru continues as caretaker president with limited power...Ruto continues as deputy president with majority in parliament and senate. It will be total chaos...the limping economy will grind to halt...soon it will become a civil war and kenya will finally join other failed states in Africa.

SO constitutional crisis when our economy is limping would be insane. Therefore I expect Ruto win will be validated. Raila was already given an opportunity in 2017 to run again - and he boycotted.

Once Ruto is sworn then the music will start. Kenyatta & Mois will be running to exile. Ruto is bad news. You will see from next week. Even now the coup plotters cannot dare to come in public - Mutyabai the useless Inspector of Police is down sick (probably poisoned) - the rest are going to get killed if they are not carefully this week.
kikuyu1:
When RAO went to court frankly I yawned. Like seeing the same movie 7x I knew the plot:
- he'd flood the court with a truckload of evidence
- the court would say,"nigga,we don't need your family's prescriptions or your high school love letters dating from 1960!?"
- he'd screech in pretend outrage playing to his excitable electorate
- his threadbare "evidence" consisting of forum printouts from sites like Mr Seed/ nipate / Mashada and jukwaa proboards would be dismissed in 20 mns

But now it seems he's scored the perfect own goal. Forcing the IEBC commissioners to testify may have been an ASTRONOMICAL blunder. Heard the latest?

Raila chose to exercise his right to challenge the election results at our Supreme Court. He has a weak petition and a bad reputation - so I doubt the Supreme Court of Kenya will help him engineer a constitutional crisis (his wish - as he is not ready for another walloping in the polls). We are therefore just a week and half from retiring 1) Raila - a political pest & sore loser and 2) Kenyattas-Mois - and destroying their tentacle that bestrides our public & private space - more like Nigeria Northern elite Dangote type of elites that have captured Nigeria too . I am going to be in Kenya on the 5th - and hopefully we will get time to do proper celebration of a new epoch in Kenya politics. We are nearly there.

Ruto nows at 61 percent as Raila moves to 38 percent. The massacre is happening live. Kenyans are determined to finish the dynasties - the families who hijacked the independence - the Mois, Kenyattas, Odingas - and their lackeys are finished.

Ruto is very very brutal. I see the exit flight this week from all fatcats. Their big mistake was to line up and attempt to lynch someone who started as chicken seller...someone so brilliant...someone so hardworking...a terrific talent like WSR

WSR will take Kenya to next level - because he is the next Meles Zenawi.
