1. I want to know if it's true that dropping breastmilk on a baby's eyes makes the eyes white and guards against infections.
NB: Baby's eyes has no problem.

2. Also, how true is it that dropping breast milk on a baby's circumcised penis will make it heal fast.


Mother -in-law feels it's the best and I have to do it.

Well, to each his own. I personally chewed on ice cubes when i was pregnant with my first, was dehydrated and my doc suggested it. That was how i was able to get water into my system. My husband reported me to everybody , my mum and inlaws would call tire then, i will just say 'yes ma', as I'm dropping the call, i dey open freezer

What i always say is listen to your body when you are pregnant as body differs.

This is not to disagree with you but pneumonia is not caused by cold. You can google it.

Truth is contrary to popular opinion, shea butter on its own does nothing to soften or improve hair texture. It doesnt moisturize the hair. You need a good leave-in conditioner and something to seal hair mositure.

In this hot weather, in my opinion, ori and olive oil might be too heavy on the skin. The weather is just tooooo hot. You can use agnesia powder for the rashes

I have a newborn and I am currently going through post parting depression which has weighed me down a lot over the few months. My mother in law is staying with us to help.

I cant say i totally understand what ppd is but i know how horrible i felt after i had my first baby. The first few weeks were terrible and you see that nipple pain ehn, nothing prepared me for it.

My dear sister, for your sanity, pls ignore mil oh. I dont know the kind of person you are but as a mother you have to be stern now cos this is just the beginning of the many unwanted opinions and advices you would be getting.

I am not someone to talk back, i ignore but i will still do my mind. I would ignore then make sure you watch me do the opposite. The highest that would happen is she will pack her bags go.

In the interim, you can get lansinoh nipple cream and watch youtube videos on how to achieve a good latch. But know that as you continue breastfeeding, the pain would stop.

It will end well. Protect your mental space.

Then discontinue the aptamil. Her system obviously disagrees with it. She has probably lost system fluids/ electrolytes. Pls breastfeed as often to replace lost fluids.

Good day Mamas, I gave birth late Thursday night via normal delivery and since then I have not been able to breastfeed my baby cos breast milk is yet to come out. Nan 1 is very ok. Keep putting baby to breast i.e let the baby keep sucking, do this at intervals daily. It will come.

I use glycerine; a drop or two on cotton wool to clean the teeth after brushing. I do this every other day.

I bought this flask today, the woman gave me assurance that is a nice one and told me to put hot water this night till tomorrow morning, I did it and tried closing the flask but is not covering well. What help do you need exactly? Do u want us to come and help u close it?

I was told at antenatal to start cleaning henceforth with soap and then rub vaseline after cleaning. The essence of rubbing vaseline is to enable easy cleaning the next time you want to clean( next morning or evening as the case maybe). And to always pull the nipple out so it doesn't go flat when its time to breast feed. Am 8weeks and some days.

Start cleaning at 8weeks and with soap? Have you started? Don't you feel contractions when you clean?

I did register for antenatal in a primary health clinic but I wasn't told to do it.

In my first trimester , I went to make a complaint in a teaching hospital. I did lots of test and I am guessing my pcv would have been checked because the gynea doc said all was fine with my pregnancy.


Maybe I should just do another one .
can it be done in any hospital
price range?

Ok mama. Since you have done it before, i think all checks out. In my own case, i did pcv test once a month as requested by my hospital. It is a cheap test that can be done in any lab, should not be more than 1,500.

It is possible they might request for the test towards your delivery date. All is well mama.

That's most likely an infection. Were you given antibiotics after delivery? I would suggest you see your doctor since you just put to bed and most likely breastfeeding. You cant just put anything in your vagina or pop pills anyhow.

Why is a midwife handling your pregnancy and not a doctor? Haven't you registered for antenatal?

You need the leaves gan gan, check in your local market. Nothing wrong with garden eggs anyway.

Absolutely unnecessary. Everybody's prayer here to see bfp announcement everyday. There are no doctors here, people advice here based on experience. Last last, best bet is to see a doctor. Is it not what you know you will say??

Continue trying, he will latch soon. My first son didn't latch till the 6th day, ny nipples were small. I had to pump for him and used formula to supplement. For the pain, wear a firm bra always and massage with hot water first, then try pumping again. You need the milk to come out.

At the bolded is what I used to know and expect of newborns but the thing is she has jaundice so was advised to feed her well so she can poo, but I think the poo yesterday is ok.

Since your baby is jaundiced, pls wake her up to feed every 2-3hours

I know about that. I'm talking about having 1st shot after 4months. I took during my first trimester for my two pregnancies.

Thanks. Taking @ least one shot in subsequent pregnancies still better for me than starting all over again I have been loyal enough to take 4 out of the 5 doses, lemme just complete and take my mind off it.

Abi na. I took my 4th shot in my first trimester, so next year wraps it up for me.

Yea you can take it. But my doctor told me that even if you complete all 5 shots, you would still need atleast 1shot in subsequent pregnancies. She said that's the new teaching.
