My 3 months old boy sucking his thumb. I always wears him something on the hand to discourage the habit but recently he sucks through with the socks on.
I had to start wearing him tight sock that keeps all the fingers together yet he won't give it up.

He pushes the pacifier out of his mouth the moment I put it on.

Please help us. What do I do next? His dad asked me to get bitter leaf and rub on his fingers but I think he is too little for that trick and measure.

Does he suck only the thumb or tries to put all fingers in his mouth? My son did this at a point cos his gum was itchy, i tried those mittens that double as teethers. Eventually he stopped, same goes for my friend's son.

My 2 years plus daughter has refused to walk, I'm so confused on what the problem really is. I have given her calcium syrup and bought the baby walker to aid her to walk but to no avail. Please what are other possible things I can do.

Medically cough drugs aren't prescribed for kids below the age of 4 or 5 i think. You can use the search buttom for some home remedies that has been shared here before.

Heartburn is very common in pregnancy. I don't know about the contents o but my doctor said it was ok to take. I use two tabs whenever i felt the heartburn.

You can. I learnt this from babygrubz page one IG and it works as it is a great immune booster. It tastes yummy too, i make and store in the fridge. I even add some to his meals randomly, although cough is long gone.

You really do not need to wean because you are preggos. You can continue except you can't meet up with the physical and mental demands or medical reasons, then it is fine. I weaned my 11months old with just water o although the first night was tough, i fed solids twice and ended up backing him . I did this cos when my sister wanted to wean my niece, she used juices and the likes and this girl would wake twice every night, it became an habit cos of juice. My son wakes once, takes his water and back to sleep. Sometimes he doesn't wake at all.

And yes he is young for tea and juices. I would suggest water too or keep trying his formula.l

Also doc prescribed I deworm him after completing medications but I have read here that baby are dewormed at 1yrs and above so I am not considering that.

My son also had this at about 8months, everyone made me believe it was teething. I did zinc and ors at home, when i was about 5days into it and no improvement, i went to the clinic. Ours was infection and he was also dewormed at that age, by day 2 or 3 after treatment, it stopped. So trust your doctor.

They are sold in pharmacies. I believe it is safe cos it contains no medication, it is basically salt and water mixed proportionally. You can google more or confirm from your pharmacist or better still, read the pamphlet.

When i was much younger, in my church, there's this family i seat behind during mass. The woman, her husband, her 3kids( 2girls, 1boy) all of them don bleach. The last child was about 4 or 5years. I can only imagine what she applies on their skin.

Even the educated ones are not left out. My aunty used to buy same for her two daughters cos those ones were dark like their father while the boy were fair like her. It continued that way and it destroyed their skin, it was only when they got into the university that they both stopped.

The cough and catarrh refused to go. Please, what can i do?

This is the season of cough and cattarh, viral infections will run its course. Cover up properly when out, keep him hydrated, do steam inhalation. When my son was that age, i would slightly elevate his head to enable him breathe better, used saline drops at night( not more than 3nights in a row), as well as 1 or 2 drops of silverbird on his bib. I rubbed mentholatum sometimes on his feet. It will pass.

We’ve never used anything on her skin apart from her normal Baby products we’re currently using nycil products after trying seabamed and aveno thinking she was reacting to the products but it’s obvious it isn’t a case of reaction she’s on exclusive and mother even placed herself on diet just to see if it was what she was eating but yet it keeps going and coming she’s currently using only coconut oil now but the yeye rashes keeps going and coming back

Stop the coconut oil too, it doesnt work for everyone and allow her skin breathe. These things go but it seems you really think she has eela, so do as you please.

Could be nappy rash. Baby tribotan works, some people say sudocream works too. Most importantly, you need tp ait his bum, it would speed up healing process.

New borns have sensitive skin. There is something called baby acne, google it. I never used anything on my baby skin and it disappeared with time. What exactly do you use on her skin? Stop the powder, she doesnt need powder.i would suggest you stop everything and watch for a while, she could be reacting to something .

I have never treated eela but from your pictures it doesnt look it.

Since it comes and goes, maybe she is reacting to something. Could be laundry soap, avoid tribotan and just identity what causes it cos chances are it will resume even after tribitan. It might just be seasonal, just leave it.

Just follow your baby cues and do what is convenient for you both. Mixed feeding isn't bad, just make sure hygiene levels are optimum.

Madam nothing is wrong with your boy. Kids lose weight as they get active. There are high protein and fatty foods you can give as snacks. Bananas are great, just that too mucu causes constipation. There's avocado, full cream milk, yoghurt, peanut butter. You can do banana, avocado, yoghurt and a spoon on peanut butter smoothie. Your son is just fine.

And you think this is because you are pregnant?

I hope you know that's a myth, right? If the temperature has bern persistent, pls see your doctor for proper diagnosis.

Try baby tribotan. I apply generously or mix with vaseline, although my son never had serious nappy rash. Most importantly you need to air her bum, you can place any towel underneath her to absorb urine, you can equally line the bed with macintosh or underlay pad. By now you can guess when she poops, as most babies poop after feeding, so try to air her bum when you least expect her to poop.
