Good day mamas/papas abeg baby would be 5 months next week and breastmilk doesn’t hold her anymore she sucks like every 5 minutes we’ve been on ebf since birth but we want to introduce pap or cereals but we don’t know how to go about it or what and what to mix with the pap or even which cereal is the best or milk self to use with the pap me and my wife are just loss so I say make I come meet those when sabi.thanks in advance you guys have been really helpful.

I would suggest you start pap and formula for now, hold on on the cereal till she is 6months. When you make the pap, cook on fire and add about 2 scoops of formula.

Remember she might not take a lot of it for the first time, so make little at a time and remember to give water.

Lastly there are baby friendly family foods and fruits you can start her on, doesn't have to be cereal always but ensure you introduce one new food at a time.

Unless the quantity is small and it's viscosity is high, it then takes a longer time to come out, making them not notice when it does...but like you said, it can stick up there in crevices for more than a day. You see, when conception is not forthcoming, it's easier to begin to imagine things that might be conspiring against you. Sperm leakage, no visible cervical mucus..blah blah...are inconsequentialities that women have gone on to conceive multiples without. Worse yet, is that some of us trust every belief an aged person relays...imagine her thinking that it is pathological!

We'll finish discussing this now and yet come back in two months to another person having the same worry.

Ttc can mess with one's head, i mean i know what i went thru during my time. You begin to think of things that are not but it would be easier if people focus on real issues.

My sister i really have same concerns too. Sperm is fluid and i think excesses it will definitely flow out, i mean law of gravity. When i have se.x, sperm always always flow out, it lasts for like 2 days sometimes, i have always had that and i took it as a normal thing.

I just didnt want to say anything so it wont be as if i am undermining people's ' problems'. I was a regular her in 2017 when i was ttc-ing and now I'm almost due with my second.

My MC is usually between 27 and 34, but recently l missed my period and started experiencing some pregnancy symptoms. I ignored it because l am used to such feelings each time my period is approaching. The signs became consistent that l had to conduct a test using PTS at home. I saw a faint line and the normal test line, making it two line. I was skeptical about it because the line was very faint, and then on the 40th day after my LM, which was on Thursday, l started spotting, same thing on Friday but without pains. Then today being the 3rd day, the cramps came with full force and the spotting has turned to bleeding, but not heavily. I tested again today, just to be sure and the line seems to appear more visible than the last one, though not deep visible line. My fear now is that l don't not know if l am undergoing implantation or early miscarriage. I have scared since today, meanwhile l did not bleed in my 1st and 2nd preg. Pls help me

This catarrh issue has been dealt with a lot. If you can use the search button, you would get lots of home remedies as your baby is very young. For his weight, the only thing is to continue feeding him. Did his feeding pattern change because of the catarrh?

It is pointless taking clomid when your hubby won't be around. Just wait till he is around, in the meantime you can use other drugs prescribed if there are other issues.

My daughter is 8 weeks today. She has been battling with laboured breathing for two weeks now. I've exhausted all my options... Saline spray, NoseFrida, steam inhalation, Cool mist humidifier.
Her nose is clear, no obstruction can be seen. But the mucus seems to be trapped at the back of her throat cos I can't get anything out with the NoseFrida.
It's beginning to affect her feeding.
From 90ml feeds we are back to 60ml which she finishes with a struggle.
She weighs 4kg as her birth weight was low (2.4) due to fibroids
Any other thing I can do to help my baby?

Since you have tried all these, don't you think seeing a paediatrician should be the next step? Or is there a reason you don't want to?

Ensure you see a paediatrician or better still go to a teaching or govt hospital. Recurrent fever isn't good, the body system is fighting something.

At 6months is just vitamin A. Can be taken anytime or you give your son foods rich in vit A or you can buy from a pharmacy.

i give mine potato & plantain pottage puree..or yam,plantain & potato..i cook with blended crayfish and a tiny inch of salt.

i only give her beans wenever i im eating it cuz i cnt cook pureed beans just for her..so i chew and give her or i press.
she basically eats everything with close supervision sha..i also give her boiled egg.then pap,oats.cereal ,pap. breastmilk..

Instead of potatoes and plantains in one dish, why not substitute plantains with carrots? It tastes great with milk. Green peas with plantains and fish tastes good too. Or beana with plantain.

No salt pls since she is under one year. I usually cook a large batch of beans and store, so when i need beans, i scoop and go. You can try rice and beans, mashed well. Finger foods too.

My son didnt accept much at this age, but you gotta keep trying. Welldone.

If it is the red pack huggies, pls just pack it and throw inside dustbin. Very useless something.

Introducing solids at 2months was risky, thank God your baby took it well. Since you arent breastfeeding exclusively, there are some gerber cereals for 4months upward, avocados are great but pls minimal quantity and like once or twice a day. But remember all a baby needs in their first 6months is just milk; breastmilk or formula.

1. I plan giving him Nutrend or cerelac and Nan 2. Which one is better Nutrend or Cerelac?

2. I want to make tombrown too cos it worked for my aunts kids. Can i combine with d Nutrend and formula?

3. Can i add frisocream too?

4. A friend said once i give hin tombrown, i shouldnt give him pap. That its same. How true is this please?

5. Can i give him amala and ewedu with titus?

Any brand of cereal is fine, as long as you can afford it. Always check the content information. You can give all you mentioned but start one new food at a time, i.e give pap or tombrown or any new food for like 3 or 4days straight to rule out allergies.

Avocados, bananas are great first foods. Mash them up.

Lastly pray he accepts these new foods o. Goodluck.

This same issue brought me here. My 14months old refuse to take any food ooo except pap, cerelac and those kinda stuff. If u force any other food, that food will stay in his mouth till u by yourself bring it out or it [/b]dissolves[b] nd u give him water to swallow. Am so very confused and frustrated.

To be on the safe I got Bro..megon but had to stop after three days when it messed up my system and ovulation.

Why not see a doctor? These drugs aren't routine or OTC drugs. I know someone who took parlodel over a year ago and had some weird side effects.
