I didn't bother with any online class. What is a 2yr old learning online? I know my 2yr old should be learning through play and fun activities. I have never for once taken out time to teach my son anything, we learn as we go along. He has educational toys, we learnt colours with his multi coloured spoons and toothbrush. He knows his alphabets, we sing it everyday, knows phonics and numbers etc.. our latest feat now is that he can different Pentagon from hexagon , this took months.

But you see that writing ehn, I tried but my son would rather scribble and write jagajaga At this point, I stopped trying to teach and just allowed him scribble. What did the magic for us was one preschool game app i downloaded, it has different things in it and tracing is on it too. My neighbour told me about the app, I didnt even know there was tracing there.

My son would practice and practice. Now he can write a-z, both capital and small letters but it is still in a jagajaga way . I just got some 2d exercise books, let's see how we can try to write in a presentable manner. But I noticed his grip isn't stable, so I might allow him write anyhow to just get used to gripping the pencil first.

You can try the app and see if it will help.

I had to check online to see what the cot looks like. I would suggest you go for a normal baby cot, that next to me thing won't take you past 3months. Besides, how will you keep the baby away from mosquitoes?

Trust your doctor, if you have any concerns and questions, approach them. I think your case is a little different because baby is preterm cos babies with jaundice need to be fed on demand and as often as possible, so they can pass it out.

This too shall pass. Be strong.

Edit: I just read where you said he eats well and has no other issues. I dont know why he is still kept there even after transfusion. Most hospitals discharge with levels less than 10 sef, my daughter had 11.1 at first, it dropped to 9 or so after the 3days treatment and we used the pawpaw thing thereafter.

But my sister, what I want you to know, effects of prolonged and untreated jaundice is very bad. No two cases are the same.

Why not seek a second opinion, preferably in a teaching hospital.

My sister, I understand your anxiety but know your baby is preterm and the pawpaw thing might not fly. Is it the jaundice that is still keeping him in the hospital or is there something else?

What is his current weight now?? What is the current bilirubin level? What are the doctors saying? 4weeks is a long time.

My second baby had jaundice, we didnt know until day 4 when we went back for testing, spent about 3days under the light, the thing wasnt coming down. I immediately started pawpaw therapy and that helped us together with morning sunlight.

Palm.oil works like magic...It brings it out from the tummy and when it is rub on the skin,you will see the itching and swelling wil reduce.

Please, few days ago my wife woke up in the middle of the night and noticed the bed was wet, we found about it was the amniotic fluid. She's at 31 weeks but I am dead scared. We went for a scan, everything including the baby's breathing is normal but the amniotic fluid shows it is decreased. She was asked to be place on bed rest. There is no contraction, the doctor said there is a rupture in the membrane holding the amniotic fluid hence, the leak. Please doctors and parents in the house, I want to know if it's a serious issue because I am dead scared. Who has been through this and how did you manage to push through. Please help a brother. Let her drink enough water. With my first child, my amniotic fluid reduced too and I didn't even notice. I ended up going into labour at 36weeks, he is strong and healthy. Let her just rest and follow up with your doctor if you experience any discomfort.

Thanks for the advise. Her blood pressure is very normal and she isn't going through any stress other than her nothing walk on some days. We resorted back to our paracetamol though.

Let her skip the walk if it is rigorous for her, observe bed rest and drink a lot of water. Above all, pray. It shall end well.

You know most palm oil in the market is heavily adulterated right?

Anyway, I wouldn't give my kids palm oil and I advised as such.

I went to get my baby's birth certificate from festac local government, the person on seat insisted i get the health centre vaccine/immunization card and that i should start using the health centre because its recognized. Other mothers there affirmed to it too that thats what people are doing now, and that private hospitals won't tell me this because they want to make their money. Please is this true? Im currently using Havana specialist hospital under HMO, please is it recognized?

2. My baby is due for his 10th week vaccine, if i have to start using the health centre please do you know how much for these vaccines?

1. False. I know people who have used their cards from private hospital. So long as it is registered and not all those maternity centres. I have cards from private hospital but I sometimes collect from government hospital, depending on my location at that particular time.

2. Some health centres give all free except for rotavirus. I think some still give freely in Lagos. You can't spend more than 500naira for the others.

I av used bagon flit to flit the house earlier and she's wearing covered clothing, she's not having any fever and we usually sleep inside mosquito net. I just don't know what is causing the itching.

Sounds like hives or allergies. You need to isolate the cause. Pls don't give her palm oil, antihistamines can help with the itching.

Everything looks okay. Baby's head is down but unstable meaning it can change at any time, which is totally normal considering you are just 17weeks. Also there is a mass coexisting, most likely fibroid.

But it all looks good

In the first few days or weeks as the case may be, you would wear bra all day to manage the engagement and pain that comes with milk coming in.

Remember to take it easy on yourself, the first few weeks can be exhausting.
