Baby is fair and someone said it should be given as prevention. A matron also said we shouldn't wear yellow colored material around her. I am just wondering if all these is true or not.
Nna na wa o cheesy cheesy

Are you sure she is a matron or those nurse Eliza??

As a FTM, some so called experienced mums will come with different talks, you need to do what is best for your child and not based on speculation.

If you are on Facebook, join 'ask the paediatrician'. You can ask your questions there and DOCTORS will reply you.

Don't give pawpaw water and the yellow cloth thing is a myth. Keep watching your lo and if you see any trace of jaundice, straight to the clinic.

Hi Mamas, is there any side effect in giving unripe pawpaw water to a baby that doesn't have jaundice?
Why do you want to give?

Mothers in the house when can I do gender determination. Plus at what month can I start buying baby things I’m currently 13 weeks.
A good sonographer and an advanced scanning machine can detect it now. Otherwise, give it a few more weeks.

There isnt a stipulated time to start buying, buy anytime you want. Availability of funds will determine.

my period is regular intact very regular and I do see cervical mucus every month so the doc isn't helping at all
if I can get to open his eyes maybe
A friend said I need to stimulate my ovaries
Stimulating isn't a good idea. Seeing CM and having regular cycle doesn't indicate ovulation.

You might need to work on your hormones, something is hindering the follicles from maturing.

Pregnancy is a challenge, having a baby is another challenge. Plz mama's who have experience in fontaelle(oka) in babies, how do u cope? My baby has two; front and back. And she hardly sleeps at night. Always crying. Meanwhile another woman had a baby three days after I and we barely hear her baby cry at night.
My mom says it's the fontanelle thats causing mine to cry that we should get herbs for bathing and giving baby to drink while hubby is against herbs as his doctor brother told him crying at night is normal. I don't know whose side to be on and I hate seeing my baby cry so much and be restless at night. Plz am I alone on this? Is it normal or we go the herb route as my mom suggested?
Meanwhile, baby is 3weeks old. She is on EBF.
Have you yourself tried to google what fontanelle is?? All babies have fontanelle biko nu, it is normal and that is definitely not why your baby is crying. The one at the back closes first.

Your baby might have colic.

Hope you are not covering her too much.

Are you sure she is getting enough milk? Try to pump so you can see what you are producing.

Let nurse kaffy4bill come and explain better.

2.1 is the Minimum Req. For M.SC , I doubt if ur CGPA is sufficient for a Masters

Ur best shot is to go for a PG. Cert/PGD program in a College
How is a PGC different from a PGD? I checked online and saw the major difference is that the certificate has lesser credits.

I've been checking various colleges for a PGD in health science ( my bsc is microbiology) but I keep seeing certificate.

Can you help out? Any course that aligns with microbiology and is at least 2years.

Thank you

What I notice now is that his bum is red and he is feeling pain each time I want to clean him up. Please what can I apply to his bum, I've been using sudocream for him since he was a month old and he never had any rash. But maybe due to constant cleaning his bum is hurt. Please what can I do?
My son gets this anytime he has any stooling episode. He doesn't even wear diaper anymore, I just air his bum and apply a generous amount of baby tribotan and vaseline. By the second day, it is better.

Thanks. I'm buying a drum ASAP. My gen powers my Washing machine. It's 1.9 KVA but I can't risk it for pumping machine. I'll also consider renting a gen to pump if it's twice a week.
Mr, don't start what you can't finish. It's a communal house, except every tenant plus landlord agrees to rent the gen and fuel it for water purposes, no try am oh. You would be taken advantage of.

Best bet, you all can meet with the landlord to know the way forward, if nothing comes out of it, go and buy the biggest drum in the market, get aboki to fill it up for you.

She is one month old
It's normal.

Our mothers usually press it out but pediatricians will tell you to leave it, as pressing it can lead to mastitis/ infection, which isn't a funny thing at all and occurs way too often.

Just leave it.

Around this time, it is quite normal for some babies. They are now aware of their environment, every sound and movement interests them.

When you want to feed, take him to a quiet room with dim lights. Alternatively, you can express and spoon feed or bottle feed. Also at this point, you might notice he sucks more at night, kinda making up for the scanty feeding during the day.

About the pain, maybe he is superman grin grin

Kindly ignore the OND certificate and provide just the WAEC certificate, you will be granted an admission. The international admissions office only works and makes a decision based on the information present in your application. All you need to do is to briefly explain in about 5 lines what you've been doing since you last left high school.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

It will end in praise.
Can I send you a PM?

hello house,
i applied to university of regina undergraduate health studies application fee was waived. It was written I need to declare post secondary school attended which I did, my question is I haven 2year national diploma initially OND on the admission page if u declare post secondary education u need to provide transcript and it should be evaluated by wes ...pls I don't know what to do I don't even need transfer credit I intended starting all over as undergraduate applicant. I can still provide my transcript but Wes evaluation is time consuming pls what should I do is just OND not Bsc.

I'm new here but I spent all morning on university of Regina's website.

From the requirement, you need to evaluate your result, it is a mandatory requirement. Some even require you send high school transcript. Also failure to declare post- secondary school education might lead to disqualification.

Hello Rvpbae,

If your previous Master was thesis-based, you can go for a course-based Master or PGD/C. This time, your approach should be coming from a professional standpoint. If possible look at PGD in Toxicology at MUN.

Have you max out IELTS? Your spouse should also write IElTS and do an ECA evaluation if not done. Doing TEF might just be the wayforward. You just have to place your mind towards it.

All the best
Thank you so much.

My masters was course based. In fact my masters isn't related to my bsc, different fields. The drawback I have is my bsc result isn't fantastic, except for the last two years.

Even if I max out ielts, my score is low. Let me look up TEF.

Do you know you can increase your CRS score by obtaining a BCS certificate IT that gives you additional 33 points? You should exhaust all options before concluding. Again, was your BSc background in medical related fields or you are considering going for undergraduate degree. If not, you cant get admitted directly into nursing which just any background. Medical line is highly regulated in Canada therefore their strict process.
Thank you for your response.

I have a master degree. BCS is for those looking to get 2 or more certificate. Masters has more points than 2 or more certificate. The only option now is to learn French, not sure if I can do that.

My bsc is in microbiology and I know I cant study nursing with that on the masters level. So I'm leaning towards undergrad. I'm not sure if I can do a PGD.

I just need guidance on th4 next step.

Good afternoon everyone. I am new here and please I need guidance.

I am 30. I hold a masters degree( PT), concluded last year. My gp is 3.8

My bsc is a 2.2 , not a good result to be honest. Graduated 2011, started working 2013 but stopped working 2015.

I'm married with two kids.

My husband runs his own business, duly registered and pays tax, has tax clearance and all. He will be the sponsor.

Our aim is to migrate to Canada as a family. I was following the Express entry thread but my score is really low.

So now we decided to try the school route. I honestly dont know where to start from and need help please.

With my bsc, I know I can't get admission to study for another masters over there.

Please what do you suggest I do?

I need help with university suggestions( reasonable school rates), schools that will make us eligible to apply for PR, location ideal for family. My kids are less than 4yrs, so I know they wont be starting school yet.

What is the first step to take? My transcript is being evaluated by WES at the moment. I know I have to write ielts, I have been practicing and will take the exam next month.

I intend to study nursing. I have a science background, bsc in microbiology but masters was in a professional field.

If there's a link where I can read up on, pls paste as well. I await your responses. Please help. Thanks

Not strong per se but you have to apply well so it spreads. Else one side will be oily and the other won't. Smells nice though.

Dear Mamas I need help.
We moved to a new location about 2 weeks ago and my DD started having rashes. We have used baby tribotan and there is no improvement rather it is spreading. Her twin doesn't have any rashes.
What can be done before it gets out of hand.
This is an allergic reaction, she is reacting to something. Could be the water. My son still gets this once in a while, till date I dont know what he reacts to. The thing disappears on it's own.

That would depend if there are retained products. Have you done an ultrasound scan? You might want to do one to be certain.

ok thank u ma. Do u have an idea of their antenatal fee and delivery fee?
GH is about 8k for delivery, not sure about antenatal. You will buy your delivery items separately, not sure, didn't use there but someone told me. Not a fan of GH.

I used daughters of charity, I love it there. Antenatal plus delivery is about 40k. You will still buy your delivery items. Cs is over 100k.

Good day in the house. Please my baby of six months cries seriously in fear when I use the blender around her.I complained in the hospital and was told to always take her away whenever I want to use it.Now,she gets scared at the sound of a car engine or the sound that comes when you are fetching water in an empty bucket.I dont know if its something to get worried about or she will outgrow it or I go back to the hospital..Though her reaction is worse with the blender..thank you
Lol. You went to hospital to report the blender situation? I like your proactive approach, no room for doubt.

I'm yet to meet a child that isn't scared of blender, it's normal, she will outgrow it. It's the noise and I'm guessing she doesn't go out often. My first son was scared, stopped after a while. Now, my daughter is the one that cries.

My darling son was circumcised today.how do I care for it to enable quick healing?I was told to run warm water on it and apply pennicilin skin ointment .hope this should help?
Water on top wound? Doesn't it sound painful to you?

Some nurses will tell you not to bathe the child sef. Avoid any contact with the site, wear loose diaper. Penicillin will do just fine, I remember we were given vitamin c too then.
