IVF a reasonable option. |
It is good he stuck to his principles, he would not have known otherwise the kid wasn't his. He shouldn't have gone on with the wedding though, since he had suspicions. |
This is more a proverbial type saying. What I think the Man of God means is not to rely entirely on social media as a means of finding your spouse. Even if the initial interest came via social media, you need to follow appropriate wisdom steps to ensure you are marrying who you think you are marrying. Getting married is way more that chats and heavily edited pictures. I am very sure most married folks will agree, and if you are single and you think married folks don't know what they are saying, good luck! It better to learn the soft (not hard) way. A word is enough for the wise. |
Truth is polygamy is very Nigerian/African. I don't think it matters if he married them same day or one year apart. I don't understand the surprise being expressed here. There is no indication the women were coerced into the marriage either. Strangers must not weep louder than the bereaved! |
@cooljude: what will be your comments on these scriptures- (Mt 19:9) And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. (Mk 10:11) And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. (Lk 16:18) Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. |
Jesus was officially called a Rabbi. To become a Rabbi in Israel required study equivalent to a PhD. |
They can use drones and satellite monitoring. These are better ways to do things these days! |
Politics and governance not always what they seem. There is a powerful cabal around PMB who constantly malign the cabinet, the same cabal Mrs B complained about in the now famous ''other room'' interview. That is why VP was able to do a few things recently. The CABAL is the real problem of governance right now. Unfortunately most of them are close and trusted family members of PMB. |
I dont think we should look at this as North vs South, those who were sacked grossly underperformed- if you use the airports regularly you will know what I mean. Le us give the new crew benefit of the doubt and expect they will perform. If I employ my brother and he runs down the job, I will sack him before noon. Enough of sentiments. If anyone knows the background of any of the new appointees and why they should not be there, say so, but not because of their geography! |
Necessity is supposed to be the mother of inventions. These are young brains in a Polytechnic- I would expect at least one of them come up with an ingenius practical and practicable solution, an out of the box thinking. Arise Nigerian youths! Every challenge is an opportunity!!! |
@MrPresident1- beware of date setting, it usually turns out wrong. You may have good intention of sounding a warning but date setting is not wise. Happy New Year! |
It is a good thing to get married as early as one could (once it is legal). Our society should encourage it. It is erroneous to assume a 20 year old does not know what she/she wants in life. I certainly knew what I wanted in life at 20 (actually earlier) and I am in my late 40s now. I did plan to get married at 25 but missed it by a few years mainly because I was not in a relationship at that time. And when we got married, we started quite humble (you don't live your life by the dictates of others!), today, looking back, it was well worth it. Both boys are in Uni already and only yesterday during a friendly chat with them, I did a gentle reminder on the advantages of getting married early. No need to fool around. If the young ones in the house need counsel on this matter, I am happy to help. And oh, by the way, my wife is only 1 year younger than me, and no she doesn't look like my older sister or mother, actually someone once asked if she was my daughter- and that considering I look way younger than my age! |
Its ok to probe anyone suspected of fraud but there were other 'recent' first ladies from other geographical regions whose cases should be looked at too! The picture should be well balanced in the spirit of fairness! |
Meniere's disease is not an infection... |
Mid 50s is not aged! Will suggest something with a real keypad to start with. Once she's used to that she can move up to touchscreen. |
God sure knows best! One of them was my med. school classmate and close friend. It is well!! “Ikú, oró rẹ dà? Isà òkú, ìṣẹ́gun rẹ dà?” |
Couldn't agree any less @Nawtyme |
Can anyone poit me to how I can get Aiye Gbeko by Ogunde as mp3 please? |
I hope some serious minded people have seen this? And how do you make up for this? And- does this still happen today? A democratically elected African visionary. On this occasion, but with every conviction in me, I can mutter: There is GOD. The video is 45mis, but please try take time to watch it. And reflect. And ponder about Africa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtzfCMHX1Yg |
Except the tithe: Tithe is still relevant relevant, which is why Jesus said do it but more importantly do justice, mercy and faithfulness. Matt23:23, LK 11:42. Wedding in church neither right nor wrong but tradition. In many places people don't marry in church anymore but you must have someone in authority and a few people as witnesses, and of course parental consent. So also wedding/engagement rings, these are not scripture but not necessarily wrong. So you can marry in court, by the beach, in your sitting room etc. Christmas is tradition dating from Constantine. It is neither right nor wrong to choose a date to celebrate the birthday of Jesus. Whether it is right or wrong to do it on a day that previously was a pagan celebration is up for debate, but you not required to do it in Scriptures. The main New Testament ordinances are Holy Communion and Water Baptism. There are a lot of traditions that get incorporated into faith practice locally. The important thing is to know what is scripture and what is not. What is scripture you are obligated to do, what is not, you're not. Trouble is, many people don't read their Bibles. |
New? I used this in 2007 |

Still holding at 73.5kg. |
Whats Naira to £ today please? |
Holding at 73.5kg. Tearoses, are you not going to do a chart/table of our numbers as we go along? |
Weigh in for Monday 73.5kg. Not lost much yet but on track. I am still trying to deal with evening hunger pangs that inevitably has me eating more than I should at night. Well done everyone. @tearoses, are you gonna do like a table to log in the numbers as we go along? |
What's the best way anyone has used to avoid the craving late evenings for those who have long days? For example, you are at work till 7-8pm daily, light breakfast, light lunch, hungry after work, temptation is to have a 'decent' meal at night. |
Target wt 68kg |
