We can all make difference if we love each other. Give to someone today. No matter how small, you are better than someone..Let's have sympathy on each other. It's not all beggars on the street that decide to be beggars. Some times, life is not fair to some people.

We are even worst than our fore-fathers..Our youths are really showing Nigeria has no future. If at this present age, we are still on ethnic group issue, then we are in trouble..Are you telling me Phyno is better than a typical Fulani man that died when he was defending our country. We celebrate mediocrity, that is why we are not chasing values but chasing money and fame.

Our parents really failed us. I hope we won't pass these stupid things to generations coming.
Christianity Etc › Re: An Open Drain, A Street Hawker, A Pastor (Pictured) by saajus: 11:37am On Dec 11, 2016
If you can't give when you earn 500k, you can't give when you earn 500m. I don't support these Pastors but most of us are not giving back too...Some of us ignore that beggar who needs just 100 naira to get breakfast. Some of us cannot give street hawkers tip. Some of us can spend fortune at Shoprite and become a wonderful negotiator whenever we want to buy roasted corn from that woman on the street struggling to make ends meet..

No matter what you earn, you are better than someone. You can still give back in your little way.

crusufixo:
My brother, I totally disagree with the statement ( in bold ) in your post. Do not forget that the someone earning 500k has lots and lots of responsibility. Whereas, in the case of the pastors, all his needs are being taken care of by the church. In my opinion, pastors are not supposed to live a lavished life, they should just be comfortable and give the excesses to those really in need......

I pray this Government will give them full support...Aside from Igbo Billionaires, every Billionaire in Nigeria needs to go and give back to where they came from. Almost every town in Nigeria can boast of one Billionaire..It's very easy to eradicate poverty.
Family › Re: My Husband Is Into A Lot Of Things And It Bothers Me! by saajus: 3:51pm On Dec 01, 2016
Try to understand your husband. You've not really listed anything illegal here.. Are these things causing him not to give you attention. Are you scared he might be doing something worst you don't know. Are you thinking he will graduate to something worst/illegal if care is not taken. Do you think he can anything for money.

is he from a poor background? Poverty is not good. If you've ever experienced it, you will be propelled to do anything legal and moral to be successful and save your future generations from the menace.

Keep communicating with him. Keep doing passion check on him to know if he's still taking his moral stand in the midst of his great passion to make money. Example of passion check. playfully test him with one illegal biz. Real intentions are display sometimes during play..If he sharpedly says 'mba, Olorun maje', he's still under control...If he falls for it like giving it a second thought, then you need to start taming his passion.

asunnu:
Dear Nairalanders, please advise a sister.
My marriage to my husband is just 13months and it's like I don't know him despite we courting for 6years before settling down.

My husband is so desperate (so to say) for money, he is into a lot of things I.e Lotto, MMM, get help, e.t.c that I'm not cool with. He has a well paid job, though I'm a stay home wife. Already told him he should let me know if the burden is too much on him so that I can get a job since he was the one that actually told me to stop work at the initial stage.

Please what's your take on it?

Education › Re: Can I Further My Secondary School Education At Age 24? by saajus: 10:11pm On Nov 22, 2016
You can study on your own and be whatever you want to be.

First, decide what you want to do. Science, commercial or humanity (art)...You are 24 .. You are still young. You can achieve anything you want. You wanna be a Doctor, programmer,Accountant, etc. In this present country and world situation, I will advise you go for science. Honestly,if you can dedicate 4 hours daily from today, you will be very smart in next 5 years. Forget flexing.Reduce friends.Focus. After your daily work, stay indoor and study..

Nothing comes easy..You have no excuse ..You just have to fulfill your dreams..You are in the right place. We Nairlanders won't leave you until you knock out your dreams and visions.Let us know if you need books, mentor or any help.

but why am I seeing figures like 51-47 ; 276-254
we are used to 10,000,000-6,000,000 here in 9ja
51-47 --- the percentage win/lose
276-254 --- electoral vote: electoral vote is like rating given to each state.I think the rating is based on the state's population.California is 55, Florida is 29, Nevada is 6,Texas is 38, and so on. Anyone that has highest vote in a state carries the electoral vote except in two states,Nebraska and Maine.top vote-getter in those two exception wins two electoral votes (for the two Senators) while the remaining electoral votes are allocated congressional district by congressional district. Both republican and Democrat shares electoral vote in Maine and Nebraska. A candidate needs at least 270 to win an election.
Politics › Re: Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu's 83rd Posthumous Birthday Is Today by saajus: 12:22am On Nov 05, 2016
I read history very well without biased minds and that's how I know all our past leaders make some silly decisions. Awolowo was great but not a Hero. I'm still searching for one of those past leaders who gave himself 100% for service with no selfishness or tribalism.

Ioannes:
I am going to take you up on your words obviously.

You say you are Yoruba, well only you can verify that, and I'm not going to dispute that, but before you come online to denigrate the person and memory of the late sage Awolowo, I'd ask you to do more research about the times and life of the man.

You attempting to rubbish the man because you want to make a pact with the Igbos is downright self-serving.

Do a little research OK? He wrote books and books were written about him. So it shouldn't be so hard to get something on him.

You don't think he is a hero? I wonder what your definition of a hero is. undecided

You are a rare gem..... With your sole surpervision and leadership you were able to not only stand the national military of nigeria for three years but unwinded the technological stint in you... Which they (the nigerian military) could not do....... Taking a look at the armoured cars and ogbunigwe(aka ojukwu bucket) built by the Biafrans during the war ontheir own, spells my word.... We love you..... And still will.
Hmm..Great innovations but it is a wrong strategy building ammunition during war. It is a wrong strategy to go to war without enough food and planning. A true hero dies with his own people.I will not count myself worthy to live if I lost 3 million of my own people in a war that I started.. Honestly, the war was not necessary.

We insult each other here instead of learning. We need to talk about Biafra. We need to teach it so that we won't make similar mistake again. I am Yoruba and I couldn't find a true Hero from all our past leaders including Awolowo. They all made silly mistakes that brought us to where we are today.
