Comparing Apples and Oranges, Queen of England, a whole nation to Oba of Elegushi not even Oba of Lagos, Elegushi lasan lasan. If we had King of Nigeria or Queen of Nigeria now your point might make more sense. The closest thing we have to Queen of England in Nigeria is the Oni of Ife(Head of yorubaland) or Sultan of Sokoto(Head of Muslims in Nigeria), their pull or influence far outweighs any other monarch in Nigeria.

No. That's not what I'm saying and that's not what it means. Firstly, the two individuals mentioned were military rulers and not Presidents. Secondly, a President is not a king and therefore cannot unilaterally change a constitution amongst other things. The military writing new constitutions in '79 and '99 is an aberration which the PEOPLE should correct by reverting to the 1963 constitution which was written by the PEOPLE and amendment can thus commence from there.
Lastly the PEOPLE can write a new constitution if they do wish.

General Olusegun Obasanjo replaced the 1963 constitution with the 1979 constitution. General Abdulsalami Abubakar in 1999 replaced the 1979 constitution as well with this decree 28 of 1999 which is now the "irreplaceable constitution". Ovie Omo-Agege is a lawyer.....where did he school?
