ToriBaze: Seventeen Nigerian migrants who survived a deadly sea crossing last year have filed a lawsuit against Italy for violating their rights by supporting Libya’s efforts to return them to North Africa, their lawyers said on Tuesday.
Nigerian migrants The plaintiffs, two of whom have returned to Nigeria, petitioned the European Court of Human Rights last week, Violeta Moreno-Lax, a legal advisor for the Global Legal Action Network, told reporters. She was among four lawyers and several humanitarian groups involved in the case.
The migrants, who were not identified, said Italy violated multiple articles of the European Convention on Human Rights, including that people not be subjected to torture, held in slavery, or have their lives put in danger.
The United Nations, rights groups and news organizations say migrants face these conditions in Libya.
According to Global Action Network, on 6 November 2017, the Libyan Coast Guard interfered with the efforts of the NGO vessel Sea-Watch 3 to rescue 130 migrants from a sinking dinghy. At least twenty of them died.
The Libyan vessel was donated by Italy a few months before. The intervention was partly coordinated from Rome by the Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre (MRCC), an Italian Government agency. An Italian navy ship was nearby, part of the Mare Sicuro operation which has operated in Libyan territorial waters facilitating interceptions by the Coast Guard.
The Libyan Coast Guard ‘pulled back’ the survivors to Libya, where they endured detention in inhumane conditions, beatings, extortion, starvation, and rape. Two of the survivors were subsequently ‘sold’ and tortured with electrocution.
The two Nigerians said they were starved of even basic food and healthcare, before returning to Nigeria with the International Organization for Migration.
All the plaintiffs were rescued at sea, but at least 20 migrants drowned when a part of their rubber boat deflated.
German humanitarian ship Sea Watch 3 rescued 59 people that day and collected the body of a small child, all of whom were brought to Italy.
The Libyan naval vessel, which had been donated by Italy and was operated mainly by a crew trained by the EU, returned 47 to Libya. In a video shot by Sea Watch, the Libyans are seen beating the migrants they intercepted with a rope, and the vessel then speeds off with a man clinging to the side.
This is the first lawsuit to be filed against Italy for its decision to back the Libyan Coast Guard. The country lost a case in the same court in 2012 for directly handing over migrants intercepted at sea to Libyan authorities.
The legal process can take up to three years but should the migrants win they can be awarded damages, and Italy would be forced to abandon its policy of equipping, training and coordinating the Libyan Coast Guard, Moreno-Lax said.
“Using the Libyan Coast Guard as a proxy to turn back migrant boats is just a new way of camouflaging (Italy’s) strategy of fighting irregular migration in the Mediterranean by trapping them in what the Italian Foreign Ministry itself has qualified as ‘the hell’ of Libya,” Moreno-Lax said.
The lawsuit highlights a stand-off between humanitarian groups seeking to save lives on the open seas and Italian authorities backed by the European Union who are trying to stop people from making the dangerous crossing in the first place.
A spokesman for Italy’s Interior Ministry, which has spearheaded the policy, had no immediate comment.
Libyan naval spokesman Ayoub Qassem said the coast guard does its job within the terms agreed with Italy.
“Regarding the abuse and violations against the migrants, these are all considered as individual acts … We can’t say Libyan state institutions commit these acts,” Qassem said.
SEA CROSSINGS DOWN Italy has supplied Libya with seven refurbished vessels so far, and three more have been promised, while the EU has trained about 190 Libyan coastguards.
Italy is also coordinating communications with the Libyan Coast Guard about possible boats in distress, according to court documents filed recently in Sicily.
Between 2014 and 2017, more than 600,000 migrants arrived on Italian shores, but crossings have fallen dramatically since Italy and Libya signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at stemming the migration flow in February of last year.
During the first five months of this year, arrivals from Libya fell more than 80 percent versus last year to 6,700 during, official data show. Over the same period, the Libyan Coast Guard intercepted almost 6,000 migrants and refugees. In 2017, the Libyans turned back almost 19,000.
Facebook chief, Mark Zuckerberg, has revealed earlier today that the world’s largest social network, Facebook will soon include a new dating service.
“This is going to be for building real, long-term relationships, not just hook-ups,” Zuckerberg said as he unveiled the plan in a speech at Facebook’s annual developers conference.
Users who are single and interested in dating can set up a dating profile within their existing Facebook account. It won’t be visible to friends or family, or show up in News Feed, and will only appear for other people using the dating service.
The way Facebook will connect people is by asking users to “unlock” groups or events on Facebook, which will allow users to see other “daters” who unlocked the same event or group. The idea, of course, being that you’ll have something in common with the people you can suddenly match with. Messages sent between users will open in a new messaging section, not WhatsApp or Messenger.
We look forward to how this new feature would affect interactions on the platform.

We are Christian we courted for five years with God grace keeping bed undefiled, I married her as a virgin when I too don't really know much about sex than reading about it online and some relationship books we bought in the cause of courtship.
Please I need women with experience to advice me. Does it mean my wife is not enjoying sex or not that is why she doesn't moan or scream. I need candid advice. Thanks in advance

dainformant: A deadly and notorious cultist, Gbenga Ogunsanya, a. k. a. Spartacus, has been arrested by police operatives in Ogun state. Spartacus, a dreaded name in Ogun state, and goes by the title of 'butcher' in the Aye Confraternity, was arrested on April 12, 2018 in the Sabo area of the gateway state.
The 23-year old, who had been on the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) trail since January, made some stunning revelations to Crimepuzzle during an interview yesterday, Saturday, April 28.
According to him, no fewer than nine persons had falling victims of his no-mercy disposition, adding that whoever he marked to kill was never spared of his battle axe.
Among his numerous victims was one Lekan, a. k. a. Gobe, whom he killed at Lafenwa in Abeokuta in November, 2017.
Spartacus, who lives like a king among his group, told Crime Puzzle correspondent how he came about the the name he inscribed on his neck, saying: "Spartacus is the title of a horror film I have watched over and over, and was inspired by the major actor in the film, to the effect that anyone he felt like axing, nothing changed his decision.
He revealed that he always made surprise appearances with his members at carnivals, especially where musicians were on ground to entertain people. All they focused on, according to him, was to cause chaos; machete people and smash vehicle wind screens.
He mentioned the areas he operated to include Oke-Sokori (Ori-Omi), Isale-Ijeun, Kobiti, Adedotun, Enu-gada, Lafenwa and Sabo among others.
The last straw that broke the camel's back was the last cross-over night at Ori-Omi, where the state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, service Chiefs and who is who in the state were in attendance.
He said, "Immediately the governor and the big wigs departed the scene, we began our operations, machetting people".
Crimepuzzle gathered that on the strength of that wicked act, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, gave a matching order to the Officer-In-Charge of FSARS, DSP Uba Adams, to begin a manhunt for him and ensure he was arrested with his cohorts.
Consequently, virtually all the teams in the FSARS kits were mandated by Uba to go after him, the result of which was his arrest, alongside one Quam Olubodun, 20, at Sabo area of Lafenwa on April 12, 2018.
However, in a state of sobriety, Spartacus regretted every of his actions, saying "It has dawned on me that there is nothing to gain from being cultists, positing that if he had not been arrested he would have continued to live in the illusion that everything starts and ends in cultism

contactmorak: It looks like more Nigerian men are unashamedly replacing real women with sex dolls, Bizzyaski who is the tattoo artist to Tonto Dikeh, Lil kesh, Iyanya and other Nigerian celebrities, has flaunts his sex doll named Cardi on his instagram page and wrote;
." I’d rather have a sex doll than a baby mama. A child born to a babymama is just like a fatherless child. Distance fathering is shit which is gonna affect the child’s psychology. How you gonna be even sure you own that baby in the first place? Having a sex doll will safe u from raising a bastard. Many guys, especially in Nigerian showbiz think they own the babies with their so called babymamas, and are paying upkeep money, but that child belongs to someone else. They dunno! And all this shit culture is gonna backfire....even if you own the kid, kid will bounce back on you later on hearing his or her story twisted by the mom. With CARDI, can't bother abt all that shit. Btw, she is the sexiest doll so far in 9ja."
youngmajor: Just when you thought that you’ve seen it all in life, just know that you haven’t visited an average Nigeria food Buka. The several types of people you see there would really show you the diversity of culture in Nigeria.
Just when you think that people really understand the necessity of eating a well-balanced diet, you get to see a sign saying “Welcome to Nigeria”
These are the calibres of people you see in an average Nigerian Buka.
They don’t give a damn if they are the riches or the poorest person in the Buka, they just believe that deserve the best quality they can’t get at home. You know this people immediately they step into the food joint. They shout on top of their voices over everything ranging from the chair, table, water, food, service delivery, and the face of the waitress serving them.
Just pray that such people don’t come to your food joint when you have lots of first-timers waiting to buy food because they would act as enemies of progress that day. Then imagine what happens when you have about 5 of this kind of people at once. The worst part is that they don’t always eat more than 200 Naira worth of food.
The Mixers
You would assume that being a chemistry student is very difficult due to chemical combinations, just wait till you meet “the mixers”.
I once visited a Buka and saw a man ordering for rice, beans, yam, egg, spaghetti, stew, plantain, and a little bit of Okoro soup. I assumed he was buying it for his dog at home, not till I saw him eating it.
The worst part is that the total amount of such might be just 200 Naira. This type of food combination is very popular in Ibadan.
Rice = 50 naira
Beans = 30 naira
Yam = 20 Naira
Plantain = 20 Naira
Egg = 50 Naira
Total = 170 Naira. Lmao.
The Meat or Nothing People
People like these didn’t come to eat, they only came for the meat. It is popular among the Yoruba. It is only this kind of people that will buy Rice and Beans of 100 Naira and meat of 300 Naira.
I don’t know the motive behind that, but I believe that it actually shows who has so much money to spend. I once saw a man who bought a plate of rice of 50 Naira and decorated with meats of 400 Naira plus bottle water 50 Naira.
The Silent Souls
The way they come, eat, pay and go, you would wish everyone will be like them. People in this category are mostly slay kings and queens who wouldn’t want to be seen eating in public. So they just eat, pay and disappear. Even if the dish is faulty, it doesn’t matter – nobody should see them eating outside.
This type of people is the reason most Bukas use “Pay before Service” as their motto. They eat, make noise, entertain people, and disappear without paying for the food they ate. The worst part is that they would never eat at the same place twice – the reason is that they are on the run.
Once they have exhausted all nearby options, they would prefer to enter bike or bus and explore a new location. I still can’t figure out the reason behind it.
The Commandoes
People like this failed military school, so they are looking for ways to express their powers. The way they shout at the woman selling the food, you would assume they bought some shares in the Buka. Unfortunately, most of them command you and still buy cheap food – even request for Jara.
EmagNig: A Nigerian singer who goes by the name, Mr. Shaa has flaunted his newly delivered sex doll on Instagram. According to him, the sex doll will save him from late night worries and tears and he even gave it a name - Tontoh
He shared pictures of Tontoh on Instagram withe below caption.
This is coming some few days after the Zambian government waged war against the sales and usage of sex doll in its country.
The action has propelled the issue of sex dolls to the top of the news agenda and made them a hot topic of conversation and debate on social media, dividing opinion in the largely conservative southern African country.
Just recently a comedy hub made a hilarious video on the adverse effect of using a sex doll. In the video, a man was captured stuck in his sex doll while it was 'humping' on him during a sex romp.

Angelanest: A security personnel, Usman Chindo has revealed what he and other members of the Joint Task Force, JTF, passed through after they came under heavy attack from the Boko Haram insurgents some time ago. He revealed how they were gripped with fear during the fire fight before it ended.
Read his story below which he shared online few hours ago;
The car horn almost killed him with fear, you can practically see how delighted he was that that sound wasn't an IED going off.
In a combat zone, such fear are daily routine, as I watched the clip, I recall the various death calls I had. In 2013 when Potiskum was hotter than Maiduguri, we were ambushed by BH during a routine patrol. It was a DEMOLITION AMBUSH, I won't go into full detail because it's a long story, but needless to say i was freakin balls. I was sooo scared i was going to die. it all worked out though. As component of the JTF, we are used to having fire superiority. We are always in control, but being ambushed is a whole new level of chaos.
At this point I can't describe the events in any linear, causal, or logical way.Things just happened. I have flashes of memories: but after 30 minutes of multiple burst fire, explosion and screaming I could remember seeing :-
Our vigilante guide whispering "Wayo Allah . . . Wayo Allah" as he bled out
A MOPOL personal from the SE visibly shaken was screaming "waitin now, waitin now. Make dem divide this useless country"
The Oic was still yelling "TAKE COVER!" as the sound of retrieving BH fighters can be heard on the (estimated) enemy position about 50 meters away
And then it was just over. We were left to lick our wounds.This ambush stood out to me as the worst scare I have experienced.

SirToby: Good evening friends. It all started with malaria two weeks ago and i used Lonart, i was relieved for some period and i started feeling feverish again. I ran a test and it confirmed Malaria is still positive, and the doctor prescribed P alaxin, i used it but i started feeling restless and uncomfortable since saturday, i have not been Sleeping well, even in my short sleep i have nightmares. i started using Piriton two days ago but i have not been feeling alright, my mind is so heavy and my heart beats so fast, i can't just sleep. I have tried to calm myself down and my friends also have spoken to me but it has not been working and i just don't know what to do.
IN ADDITION: I'm a pastor's child and similar thing happened to me last year, i was so sick that i could not sleep for days, i remember i prayed and promised God never to have any intercourse with any woman till i marry if i can be healed and start having a good sleep. But the fact remains i'm not a wayward child and the last time I had sex prior to that prayer was 2015.
But two weeks ago, i was tempted and i could not resist the urge and i had sex with a lady but the sickness has already began prior to the sex but it has not Metamorphosized to sleeplessness and restlessness. I have asked God for forgiveness and i sincerely promise him never to do such again and i'm ready to stand by it this time. I knelt on the alter after Sunday service to make the vow.
But i'm scared maybe God is punishing me for breaking my vow with him the first time and he wants me to confess to my parents that are pastors. Please i need reasonable advise, i'm so scared to sleep whenever i wants to, my eyes are so red as i'm typing now due to lack of sleep. And which medicine can i talk or what can i do to put my mind at rest. Thanks Friends.
Let's start from the basic first how many rounds you do Mr man?
