Don't worry bro, the original hebrew texts in the bible uses the word chuwg which means sphere in English thus the bible does not teach flat earth. wink

However Musk being the anti christ.....well ill not be surprised if he turned out to be grin man will one day control the worlds social media, internet , energy, transport, and even peoples brains.

P.s i might be exaggerating a bit grin

True. The biggest problems to the world has never been the slowboi politicians but the fastbois like Kissinger, Gates, Soros and Musk. These are the architects of the world order and from the looks of it Musk will outdo all the others before him. Only God knows what will happen when we reach AI singularity which seems closer and closer every day.

Just hope and pray grin

@Jl115 I'm afraid you were right. That doesn't mean I don't have my reservations on musk himself. Saw a video of his family's former housemaid and she seems to confirm that he's indeed the antichrist.

You want to compare Lamu city to the Lekki Industrial area and the free trade zone?

Had only heard of the port before and the information I'm getting online seems to be conflicting. How many berths will the port have and what's the size of the industrial zone.

Are industries going to move to your ghost capital ? Look at what we're doing with Lamu. An industrial city that will grow organically from manufacturing and port activities. If you don't have five or more lamu type cities along your coast Lagos will turn into its own mini country larger than Tokyo by 2040.

Railway city —— Dead
Affordable housing - Dead too
Tatu - growing estate,nothing more
Greenfield Terminal - Never heard of this. I will research it

Same thing you've said about every other project grin grin 2030 ain't too far away and pray to God that you'll have left this thread before we start spamming it with complete Konza City phase one (80% booked) and Railways city.

Eko Atlantic is going on smoothly. Probably has more tower under construction than Nairobi.
To my best of knowledge Nairobi real estate sector is down and out. Nothing serious is going on there.most projects going on now are spillover from 2022 (uhuru era). Investors are now out with their money. You will be lucky to see a 15 flrs under construction in Nairobi

With your obsession I'm starting to think that you might actually be that Austin slum boy. Why on earth would someone all the way in SA be watching a travel vlogger with less than 20 k subs here in Kenya?

Since you're so interested we have the Nairobi Railways City project coming up that will be twice the size of the old CBD. There's the housing projects too that will replace much of the slums and the dilapidated council houses. Tatu City is now an SEZ and Northland's city is coming up well (Expect much more pocket cities all around the city and industrial parks in the future too). Greenfield Terminal will be breaking ground this year too.

You're wasting your time ma bro. We all know Nairobi is light years ahead of Accra. In West Africa, top 10 most developed/beautiful cities, Abuja comes first follow by Lagos and then Accra. So you don't need to argue much.

What happened to the eco Atlantic project ? I haven't been following any news except of course for the refinery. With your population growth you need like 5 eco Atlantic's with Shanghai/Tokyo level density to accommodate all those people when Lagos starts industrialising.

On the lean year for startup kenya tops.

I was thinking since we have huge swathes of land in the north rift and Maasailand if trophy hunting would be a good idea. We need to ramp up tourist numbers especially the wealthy class and there's no better package than sport fishing/game hunting. We just need to bring in investors who'll allow shareholding agreement with locals in exchange for their land and the profits the locals get can be invested in feedlots making maximum use of the land. Nomadism isn't sustainable in the long run and we also need a centralised system if we're going to grow our beef and leather industry.

GeneralDae:

Yeah.

"December 25, 2023, marks a pivotal moment in Ethiopia’s economic history—not for Christmas celebrations, but as the anticipated day of default on its foreign debt. The Ethiopian government’s struggle to meet its financial obligations came to the forefront on December 11 when it officially informed Eurobond holders of its inability to pay the $33 million interest on its $1 billion bond issued in 2014. Despite the ongoing debt restructuring discussions with creditors since 2020, a resolution remains elusive because of differences between China and Western countries on restructuring and the reluctance of private lenders to participate in restructuring.

With the Ethiopian government already missing the interest payment deadline on December 11, it now faces a two-week grace period to make the payment by December 25. The likelihood of defaulting on the $33 million interest payment on that day is high. This imminent default is not just a concern for Ethiopia; it has consequences that will resonate throughout Africa and other developing countries".

Now they would go for the debt restructuring. Only Ghana has successfully done that in Africa in recent times although China may still cause some problems for Ghana in receiving the second 600 million dollars.

How long do you reckon it'll take for a country like Ghana and Zambia to recover compared to ours that has rolled out all this austerity measures to pay back all the debt.

Ps My bad. I didn't realize the 30 million was interest payment.

Hahaha. Africans and their love for crooks. Its the EXACT same case here. Life is so hard every Kenyan you meet now is trying to run away from the country. Kalenjins are the worst hit. You heard RIP say no one is stealing maize yet three days ago 5 Kalenjins were murdered in cold blood stealing maize from a KDF base. You can imagine Kenyans are now invading Army farms to steal food. Many Kalenjins were promised NONEXISTENT Finnish scholarships by Rutos men, some sold their land/ cattle took loans and everything they possessed only to realize it was an elaborate long con from the chief conman himself. Now they are surviving on blood pressure pills daily. Some even committed suicide. There is literally nothing the thief has done except make life miserable. And he's no fool. He is intentionally impoverishing Kenyans so that they become easy to manipulate in elections. Atleast for you Thiefnooboo is senile. We are staring at another 20 or so years wasted if these two crooks remain in power. All they do is steal day and night while lying to Kenyans there is no money. Ruto cannot get enough of taxes every day he introduces new taxes. Now he wants to sell parastatals so that he and his men can buy them USING the billions they have stolen the past 12 months. They take so much advantage of the gullible masses. Since the man took over power over 12 months ago the Shilling has NEVER gained against the dollar. Every day you wake up it has shed some more. By mid next year it will be 200 to the dollar something no Kenyans has ever even imagined. I dont need to mention fuel prices even RIP can tell you how bad it is. Our neigbors's (UG, TZ, Rwanda) are all dropping their oil prices while here it is going up every month. Never mind that all our neighbours buy their fuel from/through Kenya. Global oil prices are going down but here its going up. At first they lied to the gullible masses that oil is high because of Uhuru, once they took power they said its because of the war in Ukraine, the other day they lied to them its because of the War in Gaza. You just have to pity the gullible masses. Its so bad our neighbours have unanimously agreed not to import oil and other commodities from/through Kenya because the corruption in government is even threatening their own economies. Ruto just cant get enough. The man's belly is full but he still wants to grab more.

Shut up already. The situation has been the same for everyone at the bottom of the pyramid since independence. Nothing new. It's you entitled woke brats that can't stop whining. Bleat some more. It's nine more years of Ruto so if you need cyanide or Roundup we're here and willing to wire you some mulla asap.

Continue to wallow in your own propaganda. Was this first time we got rains. Ruto unlike mlevi is brilliant man. Fertilizer trick that worked was substituting DAP for NPK n that gave us 16m bags as our soil have become acidic due too much use of fertilizers. The same with other stuff...your ignorant n angry n bitter..incapable of objectivity..great thing Ruto has 9yrs to transform kenya. You have 9yrs to empty your bile online in mindless rants

I mean it's just comical at this point some of the criticism I'm hearing especially from circles where I'd expect facts to prevail. I can't even count the number of farmers I know who accessed the fertilizer at NCPB and many more who soon will be receiving subsidised drying services courtesy of Ruto's intervention. Secondly there was nothing like free fertilizer. We received 34,000 tonnes of raw fertilizer which had to be broken down. All that processing, packing and distribution costs extra money.

You can't possibly create a million jobs in the environment we're in right now but you'll still hear some thick headed fellows complain when the government looks for those opportunities abroad. You solve the unemployment crisis by doing that and growing the local BPO industry and increasing fibre network to facilitate remote work even in the villages.

You thinking about 2027 politics instead of thinking how people's lives have been destroyed by this government. From last year September when he got into power upto this month already 70,000 Kenyans have lost their jobs as a result of his bad policies. Hustlers are closing down their businesses, international investors are running away from Nairobi Stock Exchange, Kenya power is on it's deathbed for the first time since Moi's era.

Petroleum products are at historic high despite the a drop in price in the international market. The guy can't keep off of people's payslip, it's deduction after deduction.

Kenya is at the worst point ever and Ruto will go down as the worst President in Kenya.

Trust me many more lives would have been destroyed if we continued down the fantasy road the former regime was taking us. The amount they were spending monthly on fuel subsidies was enough to fund the fertilizer program, offer cheap credit on AFC to farmers and offer relief to the vulnerable in the cities.

I'm not trying to absolve this guys of any blame but just pointing out what populist politics does and it's consequences. The reforms they're carrying out now is to create fiscal space for them to operate moving forward and very soon their investments in agriculture, health and education will start paying off. At the same time ensuring we don't find ourselves in this hole again.

They were heckled for totally different reasons but I hear you. It's normal to feel this way especially when the government can't keep its hands off your pockets but you have to remember that 5 years is a millennia in politics and one day is enough to make or break you. In his own words Ruto has claimed that as a leader you don't have to be popular all the time but only at the right time hence the economic rollercoaster ride he's taking us on at the moment. All the agricultural sector reforms he's implementing are by design and trust you me this will pay off in the ballot as the majority of his support base live off tea, coffee or dairy. He only needs to pull off healthcare and housing to hoodwink his hustlas in the cities and it's a landslide victory in 2027.
