Do you know the huge amount of land that is involved in that second Niger bridge? We are talking about double lane road with over 30km. If you bought land on that axis or you have a farm land or building that sustains your family will you be taking in this manner about compensation? Think through a situation before start abusing people. Learn to talk responsibly, I don't have to educate you on that.

Giving land for free or at discounts I suppose is for private investors not for government projects. There is no 'ethnicity slurs' in my comment because it is an open secret. In Finima Bonny Island FG built a brand new community and relocated the natives, provides electricity and water on 24/7 basis for over a decade because of NLNG plant complex in Bonny Island. The second Niger bridge is for all Nigerians as well as the NLNG. The case of Mambila power plant I sited will also benefit to host communities but the FG forehand made provision for compensation.

It is a long tradition and it is applicable to all FG projects across Nigeria. Yesterday we read here how FG budget 2.6Billion Naira for compensation for Manbila power project. When it comes to a certain part of the country FG will make the provision for compensation even before starting projects but in another part of the country FG will want to forcefully take the land with useless excuses.

Don't mistake Lagos to any other South West State. Lagos have over 2 million Igbos, hundreds of thousands born therein. If Lagos is a country you will have over a million Igbos as citizens, can that be said of Yorubas in any South Eastern States? NLNG have their loading jetty, two as a matter of fact in Bonny, Mobil also have theirs in Bonny and Shell also load in Bonny sea but not directly from their terminal. My mum is from Finima Bonny Island and I worked with NLNG for years. You can also use Google Earth to locate the facility and see it for yourself.

FG will always come with useless excuses when it get to do with Eastern ports but when it is about crude oil and LNG exports the vessels will navigate through those river channels for loading. Why can't they provide security and dredge at least one river channel or better build port in place like Bonny Island.
