FamilyRe: Why Do Some Married Men Cheat? by Sagamite(m): 3:19pm On Nov 28, 2012
Diogo1: my bros, i dont know how old u are but i believe you are still new in the school of life. To let you understand, i'm married with 4 kids. I learnt early in life that the success of any marrimonial union rests solely on the wife! Infidelity is bad but is caused by a lot of things. I dont support your father but i think he has a lot of regard for all of u. If not, why will he continuously be denying it? I have seen so many families where d mother has turned all the children against their father?
Were you married with your parents on the altar? Is it not 'for better for worse' again? Why should your mum inform the kids of their dad's infidelity? Most mature women who want resolution of their differences ask their husbands what will they do differently to capture his love and attention again? Why not confront the man alone but also let the children and pastor do same?
I have seen a woman who caught his husband on their matrimonial bed with another woman, she just closed the door and walk away. The man came back that night prepared for a fight only to meet the his best meal delicately prepared and served. You know what he did? He just broke down and started crying. He promised it will never happen again. Most married 'girls' i know now will be calling the whole neighbourhood to come and see.
You mum seems to be a career woman. Have u asked if he is sex starving your dad and always feigning tiredness when she comes back from work? Look at their wedding picture! Find out how she looked then. Does she look same now? Do u know if your dad has been telling her this is how i like you to look but because she is now the breadwinner she doesnt care? Do you know that because of work she could have lost that spark in bed - those things that used to trip your dad? Do you know that most women dont bother when you comfront them with such? They say "i've given you children and have a good job, what more do you want"? Just like you are doing now. Take my word on this as i have had over 15 years post-graduation experience - 'most career women are bad wives and mothers'. Their love and affection goes to the job and the prestige and recognition it begets. I hope your mum is not one. The girl i loved most in my entire life, i refused to marry her because she was a career woman. It is a recipee to disaster.
Do you want real good advice? Try and remove your bitterness against your dad. Go to your dad (probably with your siblings), apologize to him for looking down on him. Tell him you want peace and love to reign in your family. Tell him you want to hear his own side of the story. You must win his trust before now or he will still be in denial. You will definitely see a reason why he is doing what he is doing if u are objective. Reconciliation must be your goal not trading blames. If u succeed at this stage, you will bring your mum in. You will then only opine corrective measures. Do not castigate old actions or you will have tried in vain.
Most importantly pray well for some days before embarking on this. You will definitely succeed. I wish you well.
The mother probably knows that his kids are important to him and to get revenge back on his infidelity, she wants to hurt him and get her own back by making the kids lose respect for him. She is pulling the kids string the way she wants but they are not yet intelligent enough to see it. This is all revenge to her, not heartbreak.

It is Nigeria, she can't take the kids away. I suspect if the mother was in the West, she will be the type that will use the kids as weapon by not allowing him see or contact them.

koastar: Recent researches have shown that married women cheat more than married men. It is just that women know how to conceal theirs, they are better secret keepers; while that of the men are easily detectable, may be because of their ego or cultural belief that favour the men.
Which research?

shymexx: Who cares if it's Nigeria, or Somalia? Why didn't you spit venom when oil multinationals were awarded oil blocks in the same Nigeria with the same process?? Oh, they have "expertise" and they're the "massa" - they can't do no wrong, no??

Whatever she did with her oil block is non of your damn business as long as there was no ILLEGALITY involved within the scheme of things in Nigeria! She paid for the damn thing!!
You are a person!

Who are you strawmanning?

Did you not read it was 3 years before she started negotiating with Texaco that she got the oil bloc and years before that that she bidded for it?

Don't you think you need the adult education to learn to comprehend?

I reiterate: was any ILLEGALITY involved when she acquired the oil block - YES, or NO??
You are a person!

No 1, it is Nigeria.

No 2, if you had attended the adult classes and learnt to comprehend, you would have read where she said she got the oil bloc, that was one of the most expensive and difficult to extract, 3 years before starting to negotiate with Texaco.

shymexx: You're a dolt!!

So, in your deluded mind, you need "expertise" in every business you dabble into, no? I bet Richard Branson also needed expertise in the aviation and telecommunication sectors before starting Virgin Airlines and Virgin Media?? And Simon Cowell was a musician when he started X-Factor, no??

You're just too ret.arded!!!

The question is: was any ILLEGALITY involved in the process when she bought the oil block - YES, or NOhuh
You are a person!

He asked why was it not awarded to the Oil majors with the expertise directly since the so-called (according to your moronic education) shrewd business people are going to pass it over to them?

Let us know, based on your hoodrat education, how processes become more efficient and profitable by adding middlemen without any expertise!

Cretin!

Fcking moooron, Branson and Cowell set up businesses that hire different experts before any bid and actually get their company to do the core work themselves. Not sell it on and do nothing. FOOOOL!

- Extremely special services

Even though some might talk about old money, I don't know her family, hence I can not include political power broker on the suspicion list. And I don't think she is in the league of those that can provide sufficient bribe to get an oil block. That is normally done by deep pocket multinationals.

[quote author=Sisi_Kill]On slightly off topic-ish note, Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija has been named Africa's Richest woman, she sat down for an interview and right in the middle of all the things she's achieved they still manage to ask her kitchen and cooking question.

It's not even the question sef, it is how it is phrased "You seem very busy and quite successful, but do you ever find time to go into the kitchen?". Yes, Yes, you've done all these amazing things. . .good for you but what about the most important thing of all, the one thing if you are not good at will totally rubbish everything you've achieved - COOKING!

Talk about "putting her in her place". I'd like to see an interview where a man is asked. . ."You seem very busy and quite successful, but do you ever find time to go to. . . go to. . . wait, what the eff are men supposed to do in the home again??!!

Oh for funsies. . .here's another question she was asked - Many marriages are on the rocks because many women find it difficult to combine marriage with affluence. Ya know because it's only women who let money go into their heads, men don't. . .Oh no, they would never!!!

Unknown Member: I think this goes beyond education..

Someone with the resources to open up a business such as this in the UK, must not only be rich but also educated.. I think this stems from the overzealousness of Africans in general. Everything has a spiritual side. Your car breaks down due to poor maintanance and its the work of the Devil, A child plays around and steps on a box of carelessly kept pins and its the devil. Everything is either the Devil or God.

Also, the maker of this perfume might just be targetting the Nigerian Church goers market as well. I know Catholics who will sell a kidney to lay hands on a Popes bath water, I'm sure many christians would also buy this perfume, especially if the manufacturer can get the Oyedepos, Adeboyes, Adefarasins, Ashimolowos, Oritsejafors, Ibiyemeos and co to endorse it...
Okay, I will add lack of nutrients for the brain due to no funds for a balanced diet.

Emmy9ite: Nigerians with their poor mentality, always acting the role of a victim. What are the characteristics of a victim?

BLAME: They are always blaming other people for their failure. You are blaming her for not making it, you are blaming her for the current situation of Nigeria when you don't know that main problem is from you and you alone.

Blaming her won't remove a dime from the millions she is making daily, it will only attract more problems into your life for you to put more blames on.

JUSTIFYING. Another thing I've noticed from this thread is the lackluster behaviour of people here, always justifying. They are like 'money isn't necessary anyway', won't she die and leave the money?

Money isn't necessary to poor people, that's why they always remain poor.

She will die but only a coward is afraid of dying, her legacy will always live forever.

Nigerians should rise above hate and look at the positive side of this story, learn from her determination, her passion to succeed.

1. Most people don't really know how she got the oil bloc
2. Most people don't wanna do a background check up about the source of her wealth, hence some concluded its the Alakija's "OLD MONEY"
3. To me,I think Shymexx was more construtive cos he did a little background check up and gave very reasonable points to buttress his facts
4. Sagamite was just being an average Nigerian with the mentality that "you can't make it without doing something shady or having a 'political connect' "
My own conclusion, people should not forget this woman was rated by forbes, they are no1 in that field, invariably, she has never been a politician. After a few background checks too, especially with pix @ her 60th birthday,Senator Oluremi Tinubu was the only politician I recognised, maybe I don't know many politicians but with the other names I saw too,she is the only politician I know there.

pro01: It is truly tragic. Most Nigerians that were arbitrarily awarded oil blocks know absolutely nothing about exploration and production. They simply 're-award' the oil blocks to the established multinationals such as Chevron and Shell, who then do all the technical work and pay royalties to the rentier 'owners'. It is the most atrocious way of becoming and remaining a billionaire in Nigeria. You simply do not need to work. Just sit back, relax, and receive millions of dollars monthly as 'rent' from your oil block.

This is not about Folorunsho Alakija alone. I know for sure that Hajia Bola Shagaya also owns an oil block (allocated by IBB), and Florence Ita-Giwa also owns one (allocated to her by OBJ). Not to mention T.Y Danjuma and a host of other oil block awardees - they all subsequently bring in the oil majors to do the actual work. This makes you wonder why the government did not award the oil blocks directly to the oil majors instead. The answer is obvious: corruption.

Mike Adenuga and High Chief O.B. Lulu-Briggs are the only Nigerians I know that dared to do actual exploration and production on their respective oil blocks - although with mighty technical help from foreign oil companies.
In the world of fucktards like shymexxx, this is why they are hard-working heroes and shrewd business people.

pro01: In fact eh, no be small thing. I really don't have the time to exchange silly brickbats with some oafs who choose not to use their brains and ask simple, logical questions.

Anybody with half a brain would know that the oil block was acquired under very questionable circumstances. While she may not have done anything 'illegal' to get it, it is likely that she must have done many 'illicit' things to be rewarded with such a favour. This is without prejudice to her extreme good fortune/luck though, as no female 'hole' or 'jaws' in human history is worth an oil block.
Thank you! Don't mind the fucktards like shymexxx.

Nigeria's oil is being shared by some few and the criteria of getting a share is likely to be one the following:

- You are one of the corrupt leaders making the decision
- You have some political power the corrupt leaders making the decision respect
- You are a relative of one of the corrupt leaders making the decision
- You have bribed the corrupt leaders making the decision
- You are male bosom friends and part of the clique of one of the most powerful men amongst the corrupt leaders making the decision
- You can do something "extremely special" for one, or most likely many, of the corrupt leaders making the decision

Your guess is as good as mine which of the criteria she was able to meet to get an oil block.

While fucktards like shymexxx call her a shrewd business women. Fcking cretinous hoodrat with a poor education that one has to keep reminding he is daft.

If our oil is being distributed based on merit, how come someone like Hakeem Belo-Osagie does not have a huge oil block considering he is a shrewd Harvard-educated businessman with a degree in petroleum economics, was a former special adviser to the Presidency on oil and petroleum and has millions of dollars he made from UBA to pay for it?
