Ejiné: But that still doesn't change my deep belief that Keagan will win this show.

By the way, isn't it ironic that the same Kyle Ghana voted for, eventually put Keitta up for eviction.

LOLLLL! grin I'm only getting the joke now. Sorry for being so slow, guys grin

Yes... TEAM KEAGAN HAS ENTERED THE BUILDING :-)

This years BBA had the potential of being one of the most entertaining if not the most in the history of the show. But very strong and worthy contenders had 2 exit the show prematurely under questionable circumstances. But still, I prefer it to last year,s edition.

**** By the way, hw far wit dat una Karen girl? Is or isn't she broke yet? And shey she don go put plastic for nyansh?****

I fully agree... last year's season was the worst yet! And this year Biggie really outdid himself with good quality housemates...

First, let's hope Kyle survives this week but he most likely will. Just in case we (Talian army) fail in our mission to conquer africa for Talia, i wont mind Kyle escaping with the money. He appears to be a cool dude. he has actually grown on me over tha past few weeks. Everyone else in that house apart fron these two and i mean everyone else can go to hell.

TALIAN ARMY

LOL,
Fork Adict, I fail to see why you like Talia so much. I've never seen her do or say anything that moves me in any way whatsoever. She's so blunt.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa Stargame; Official Thread by SAGirl: 8:39am On Jul 24, 2012
My brothers and sisters,

Long time no speak:-)

Hope you've all been well.

I have lost total interest in the BBA game, but the last 2 weeks are always the most fascinating hence I'm curious to know what you guys are making of the game so far.

I miss those days of rallying together around the likes of Uti, and that exhilarating feeling of hearing his name being announced as the winner. And I even met the love of my life on this Forum:-)

Anyway, back to the present...

So we know who is making it to the finals:
- Keagan
- Wati
- Talia
- Lady May (obviously she'll survive again, and I can't wait to pull a MUNYA on her)
- and then I pray our wonderful Kyle also makes it through.

Seriously, if Prezzo survives this Sunday, Africa we will need to be ashamed of ourselves. And if he should ultimately win, I will never, ever, ever watch BBA ever again. But I don't think he will:-)

I would love for Kyle to win the game.

My other preference is Keagan: I was so sceptical of him in the beginning, but he has really proven himself a deserving candidate. (Zainab said he's a good kisser, he won HoH a record 5 times, and he's given us some genuine, world-class entertainment).

As for Talia... she should not have associated herself with that Seudou. And she should not have been in the anti-Eve/Zainab/Esparanza camp. I will never forgive her for that (I still miss those gorgeous ladies). If Talia wins, she's going to share the money with Seudou... NEVER!

Lady May cannot win... it would be like how that white Zimbo won last year. We can't let that happen again.

And Wati... oh Wati! he's so cute and crazy:-) but I don't think he'd survive winning that money. He'd drink himself to the ground!

So for me, it has to be between Kyle and Keagan. He he he, I'm well aware of Africa's dislike of anything South African... so I might be told to keep on dreaming.

But let's wait and see...

Malema's expulsion is the latest stage in the disciplinary process which began in August last year.

Malema along with league spokesperson Floyd Shivambu and secretary general Sindiso Magaqa argued in mitigation of their suspensions, which were handed down to them by the NDC in November last year.

After appealing the judgment, the ruling party's national disciplinary committee of appeals upheld the suspensions, but ordered the NDC to hear mitigating arguments from the trio.

Shivambu and Magaqa received a lighter punishment, with the pair being slapped with a three-year suspensions. Magaqa's sanction was suspended for three years, provided he doesn't violate ANC disciplinary protocol again, while Shivambu's suspension was upheld.

The NDC's statement said their final decision was largely based on the fact that Malema did not show any remorse during the proceedings even after being found guilty.

The ANC released a statement supporting the announcement, shortly after it was made public.

"The ANC welcome and respect the findings as pronounced and made public tonight by the national disciplinary committee of the ANC. We call on our members and those of our leagues to respect this decision," the statement read.

Malema and his colleagues are not immediately out in the cold as they are entitled to appeal their sentences with the national disciplinary committee of appeals within 14 days again.

Earlier in the day, the trio's legal representative Dali Mpofu told the Mail & Guardian a formal complaint with the NDC based on the lack of notice given to when the decision would be made public.

"If they decide to violate that process then so be it. It is something we would certainly raise in an appeal if we decide to go that route," Mpofu told the M&G.

Apart from the formal appeals process, Malema can also employ delay tactics, in order to drag the matter out until the ruling party's next elective conference in Mangaung this December.

Malema could then try and have a formal motion tabled to ANC delegates with voting powers at the conference to have his sanction nullified.

The controversial youth leader can also take the matter to the ANC's powerful national executive committee (NEC), who will have the power to overrule the NDC's decision.

Initial indications are that while support is evident for Malema among some of the ANC's top brass, the league would struggle to put together sufficient numbers to have the decision overturned.

The league has stated on several occasions that it will defy the ruling.

The young lions said the ANC should "inform and convince" the league and its members that the suspensions were the right decision and explain their reasoning in doing so.

The suspensions relate to comments made by Shivambu about regime change in Botswana as well as insulting a journalist; Magaqa's suspension is for undermining the authority of Public Enterprises Minister Malusi Gigaba and Malema was sentenced for comparing President Jacob Zuma unfavourably to his predecessor, Thabo Mbeki.

This is not a political thread people, if you want to debate the politics and future of South Africa I suggest you start a new thread :-)

I also need to state very clearly that I do not agree with most things that have been said by Vivian.SA, and I hope everyday that youths with your views are a minority amongst us. Please go read the biographies of the Mandela's and the Sisulu's to understand what their visions of this country was. What you are saying is not the country that we are trying to build.

My-Key:

Please tell me that you are worried about the future of your country when Julius Malema finally takes over? I would be very worried if I were you , luv lipsrsealed

Malema can be a great leader, it's just that his passion currently is much misplaced and needs guidance. The role of the ANC Youth League is to be radical and to challenge their adults counterparts. That is why it formed and how Mandela was when he was the leader of the Youth League, but he grew out of it. So ideally Malema will also grow out of his role as a radical, careless leader.

Hertsnite:

Morpheues if it wasn't for apartheid south africa would not be the richest nation in africa, who do you think build the concept of a south African state, their judiciary,,system of government, education system, their entire economic system, planned the road infrastructure, who brought all the know-how of modernity and developed it for so long? It was was whitey. Look at Zimbabwe, it was one of the richest countries in africa before mugabe expelled as the white people turned it into the 3rd poorest country in the world. clever that wasn't it.

Since the end of Apartheid crime has soared through the roof, corruption gone up 10 fold and white people are now discriminated against and sometimes murdered on there farms for being white. in 20-30 years south africa could go down the mugabe route and start seizing al the white famrland, all the white people would leave and it will be truly bleeped.

For the record, I did not support apartheid, and believe it is wrong to withhold the same rights from any human being, I am just saying from an economic and social perspective SA would not be the richest in Africa if it was not controlled by whitey for so long.

here's the perpective of a Saffa guy on youtube about being discriminated against for being white in SA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPSQjpTiFwQ&feature=relmfu

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zw4x5xp_-zI

my dear brother, you are so ill-informed.

crime and corruption are not new so South Africa, what is new is the freedom of the press, which enables you to now know about these things that in the past you were not privy to, because of the white man.

this rich economy, the infrastructure you are referring to, was built on the backs of our forefathers who were exploted and given almost non-exstant wages. have you ever seen a white man putting one brick on top of another?

we are trying to do something that has never been accomplished anywhere in the world before, redistribute wealth without having to unfairly discriminate against anybody. without chasing anybody out of the country, without having anyone feeling threated. without a civil war. Mugabe tried that in Zimbabwe and it didn't work as the white man refused to cooperate, and he got pissed off.

we are hoping that we have a better nation of whites in our country and we will manage to put the wealth back in the hands of its rightful owners without having to go the Zimbabwe route, please wish us luck, instead and sitting and waiting hopefully for us to fail. that is all we wish for, and have ever wished upon Nigeria.

we are still very young at this democracy thing, we are still trying to find our feet. we are trying to learn from the experiences of our brothers and sisters in Africa, in the hope that we will be the sucess-story that Africa so desperately needs in order to regain confidance in ourselves.

Politics / Re: Where Did Nigeria And Africa Go Wrong Since 1960? by SAGirl: 7:53pm On Aug 07, 2011
We, as the African population also contribute to this problem. Our inability to hold our leaders accountable, and being emotional voters.

HOW DO WE KEEP OUR LEADERS ACCOUNTABLE?
Politics / Re: Where Did Nigeria And Africa Go Wrong Since 1960? by SAGirl: 12:44pm On Aug 05, 2011
THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL THREAT THAT I'VE EVER COME ACROSS IN MY HISTORY OF USING The INTERNET.

Thank you so much for starting this discussion, even though some ppl in here want to turn it into something else, most of you have made interesting, progressive contributions.

To answer the question though, I think in Africa we have one problem and that problem is LEADERSHIP. Every once in a while every nation gets a leader that is selfless in leading its people to prosperity. We Africans lack suck calibre of people, and when they do come along, they tend to get corrupted along the way, instead of grooming and giving opportunity to new such-like leadership.  (think Mugabe and Mubarack).

Here in South Africa we are sitting with the same problem, a lack of genuine leadership.

It is my experience that no matter the nations' level of education, tribal attitutes, economic status, but when they have a leader who is dedicated to building, and not looting, the people will follow.

A lot of South Africans were not happy with the Mandela's and the Sisulu's negotiating with the white man back then, but they followed because they knew without a shadow of a doubt that those leaders had their best interests at heart.

We need to teach political science at school level, so our children know where we come from. What it took for us to gain our independence so that they can value it. and they can understand the values of our forefathers who fought for this independence. We also need to teach our children about all these other countries all you learnered comrades have already mentioned, so we know what options we have in building our countries. This is when we are creating good leaders of the future.

We need to have these conversations as the African youths, and I hope this doesn't end here!

Hello SAGirl. You have been very quiet this season. I agree, for me this years show was really poor, even though I am sure M-net made ridiculous amounts of money. You never told us how things went with our match-making efforts last year.  grin

LOL, Hi Montelik. I've been visiting the site to catch up on what you guys are up to, but kept quiet because our views were opposing this season and I didn't want to come in sounding like a hater.

The match-making efforts were extremely successful. Until 1st May funny enough when the new season began, communication stopped and I don't know what happened. But I've thoroughly enjoyed and benefited greatly from the friendship :-)

THE AMAKA:

as for Luclay's fan page's reaction to the win, it's DISGUSTING! they are there accusing folks of cheating. wasn't it tatiana or someone else last week that said once Luclay goes back to 2/15 country votes, they would scream rigging? LOL, SO TYPICAL! they have the nerve to scream rigging, yet they were all blatantly saying they were all registering mixit accounts under different countries to vote for Luclay. LOL. HYPOCRITES. GOD DON'T LIKE UGLY grin grin grin

but truth be told, they are acting as if this is a national issue. they aren't bashing Karen as much (because her win was obvious) but they are saying how Zimbabweans are poor, messed up, this and that. how poor Zimbabweans invade their country, take all their jobs, etc, and that is how they "pay" them in return, by rigging? WOW! i didn't know this was such a big deal. why do they feel the need to insult all Zimbabweans because Luclay lost? it was quite glaring the race was between Luclay and Wendall, and the white Africans made it happen for him, end of.

IS THIS GUY SERIOUS? they are just as guilty of "rigging" as anyone else, if not more guilty.

I think one thing ROA fails to get is that South Africans do not take this show seriously. as much as I watched and commented and everything, I have never voted, not even once. We don't vote, We don't care who wins.

Luclay had his small group of teenage groupies making noise and thinking they were gonna beat Wendall at this? In fact, I'm suprised he beat Sharon, i honestly thought he was gonna come 4th.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Amplified (The Official Thread of BBA 6) by SAGirl: 9:01pm On Jul 31, 2011
@ Amaka, i agree with you. these results are strange indeed. But like you guys know, there's a lot of rigging going on and I think Biggie has to find a voting system that wont allow it (accept only sms and mixit votes, perhaps).

And please don't pretend that it's not about country, we all know that it is. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with it so no need to defend yourself.

Karen did not entertain me. If you call Karen and Luclay's behaviour in the house entertainment then I'm worried for the future of Africa really. They were both just acting all the time, the only difference being that Clayton was good at it (being a professional) and Karen sucked at it.

Who deserved to win? I already stated that none of the 26 deserved to win, but if i had to choose:

Alex was a very good contender, until he allowed Peo to ruin his game.

Lomwe gave us plenty of entertainment with all his women.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Kim. In fact as soon as she was evicted last Sunday I changed the channel and never went back until 7PM tonight.

I never liked Vina, only for her role is dismantling Lohan. But I didn't think she was any more stuck-up than the rest of them. At least she could dance, she is the only person in that house that could dance this season.

And yes, this finale was nothing compared to last year's. I can still remember like it was yesterday the sheer joy of hearing Uti's name being announced as the winner. My family had never seen me that happy before in my 30 years of life.

Well, it's over now, looking forward to a better season next year!!!
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Amplified (The Official Thread of BBA 6) by SAGirl: 8:24pm On Jul 31, 2011
Congratulations to Nigeria for winning (again),

Don't fuss about Wendall, he had the entire white African population voting for him.

But this has indeed been the worst BBA season ever, as far as I'm concerned none of the 26 house-mates deserved to win. Biggie should've just canned the show half-way through.

I still can't believe Naija chose Karen over Vina, I'm disappointed in you guys. People like Karen should not be given such affirmation. The girl is gonna believe she's okay and we all know she's insane and needs to be locked up in a mental institution :-)
