If A3, i doubt you got the update to band 28. Download engineering mode app, to verify bands.........

Exactly, download MTK Engineering Mode, go to bands and see if band 28 is ticked, if not as lexusgs430 said try and search for wireless update and update to the latest version.

Then try again and give us a feed back

Glo 4G works well in Orile, Coker, Aguda, straight down to mushin, jibowu etc

Send a msg to GloNigeria on twitter to provision ur sim card for 4G, the guy you bought it from cannot do that for you, you have to contact customer care or else you will not experience the 4G. That's why you're still on 3G

Secondly, check the plan u want and amount, u can do this by failing *777#, buy the corresponding airtime and dial *777# to sub, u'll get double of any data plan u choose, and did I mention bonus airtime and data too.

I think for NTEL the cap is 120GB then the speed is throttled. That was at last year when I used NTEL, I don't know if it's still the same scenerio now

We appreciate ur efforts oh jare, at least we know have better understanding and can run a comparative analysis with other products, the Mi A3 ticks a lot of boxes for me and am seriously considering it, Stock Android and Band 28 especially. Call me old skool but am not in tune with the inscreen fingerprint scanner and then that screen resolution ahhhhh

Nope with mobile data, but I do agree it's also location dependant, when the network is crappy even with 4G it can be very frustrating but I guess the scenerio holds true for all networks.

From my experience this isn't the case, I have a phone that does band 28 and it works just fine. All activities work concurrently and simultaneously

Even with the Merit plan of 2 weeks I'm able to download upwards 300GB

The merit plan is a capped plan with unlimited download specific to a time frame, so it's capped that's why you can do that speed. But for the advertised unlimited plan, my brother it's throttled but not capped.

U speaking from experience cos I have both the merit and the unlimited plan

Maybe not a data cap but the speed is throttled and can be embarrassing most times. That 3MB and 6MB things are just scams . Used it for awhile the one of 20500 and had to switch to Airtel 120GB Router bundle for 20k
