You are probably right about the battery being gone, but when I remember how long it lasted for and how it proved itself so many times, I almost don't want to give up on it lol

If only we had someone on here who could reveal there secrets in Oshodi and tell us how they refurbish these batteries.
The bolded is the million dollar question but there are still batteries that cannot be revived no matter what

Yeah the fan is always on, no matter how little the current is which is a bit unusual.

Besides the 0.2v issue, the charger is pretty ok, though I still don't understand the manual charging and how it works as it seems to be still doing smart charging, though it allows you to adjust the voltage.

The main reason I bought it was to revive 2 batteries. My car battery, which now seems to be ok but more importantly my 5 year old tokunbo Ritar telecom which it took almost a week to get full. Once I tried the load test the voltage dropped drastically and I then decided to use the manual charging to make things faster.... within a few hours the battery was swelling and smelling and I had to shut it down. The funny thing is that I gave it a day and the swelling disappeared like magic lol. I tried a load test and it failed again.

I might still use it on that battery for a month (in smart mode).

The on-display voltage is useful to me though as I use it offline to monitor my inverter's (India) charger as I blame it for spoiling my Ritar. Chinese seem to know more about charging than these Indians

I used Jumia, it will likely be less expensive than aliexpress because of shipping and dollar.

I got it for 16-18k if I remember correctly but I recently saw it on Jumia for 10k (without international customs and shipping).
I think Ur Ritar battery is gone, a cell must be bad inside for it to swell, so forget about it. But it's nice to hear Ur car battery is working okay now; I also recently ordered the charger based on Ceejay80s recommendation. Got it for ₦13500 shipping and delivery inclusive.

When I get mine, will also give a review on how well it works. Thanks for this review.

I wanted to mention Anyanwu but he's still owing me a 30amp charger oooo lol ... but he's definitely better than most of those Arena guys.

About the Walasanhe charger Ceejay, I bought it after your recommendation but noticed my unit is usually .2 volts higher than my multimeter.... so I usually turn my load off at the 12.5v reading it gives which I take as 12.3v (which should still represent 50% DOD). Have you tried independently testing the reading to confirm yours isn't off too?
Has your charger improved performance of your batteries?

85w but I will buy a watt meter so I can get an accurate calculation, cos I have a mini audio amplifier that is 45w and 2 sound bar and 2 small speakers making 4 and each sound bar is 15w each, did not add the bars wattage to my calculation
Thanks for your response

good....my battery has never gone below 12.5V while using, and even before it gets to 12.5v, it takes so many hours don't know if its my battery that is very good or the desulfating charger that is excellent, all I know is that I am smiling
What's Ur estimated power usage in watts?

u jst bought the phone last week... i want to believe ur battery hasn't fully calibrate itself... gv it 2-3wks

when I bought my F2 of 5150mah too , it was underperforming than my previous device of 4000mah... but now it's stabilized...

so gv it time to learn ur usage and it will adjust
Exactly, even after an update it might take the battery awhile to stabilise, people should just learn to weigh variables before making assumptions....
Phones › Re: UMIDIGI DISCUSSION THREAD by saint2ace(m): 8:10am On Aug 03, 2020
Attention! Attention!! Attention!!!

This talk of battery and battery performance is getting really boring, it has been treated so many times here that I have lost count, we just complain too much over little things have.....

First and Foremost, there are so many factors that affect battery life, from the charging source or mains Orr generator, to Ur charging brick type and power rating, to Ur screen brightness level, to power hungry apps being used, to your network providers (this is one of the worse). Just because we're still able to browse we feel our network is okay but most times they're not.

So many factors affect battery levels that u might not see when making your assumptions.

So pls before you complain about your battery drains look at these factors and stop giving urself HBP, like lexusgs430 would say, Na Nigerian power sector dey cause all these wahala, if u need extra juice buy a power bank simple.

And pls any further complain of battery and battery drain should be supported with screenshots of Ur SOT and Ur battery usage page.

Thank you all for Ur time grin grin

I still don't know how I stumbled on umidigi

but it's the best thing I ever did in phone choices

Why is the screen so cool,

like it doesn't hurt my eye at night,

I just saw something like night light and enabled it and it further wowed my experience

someone using one popular phone here wanted to scan xender code from me,

my eye hurt immediately I looked at his screen,

is there no way we can report the phone makers, they make very bad technology and it is still pricey in Nigeria compared to unknown brands...

Umidigi is really nice are they even making profit?

make una no mind me,
I am just really impressed
with everything
ba3 no de die
pubg no de lag or hot
screen belike colored realife grin

and I will definitely advertise their product free anywhere I go,

Good evening gents, sorry to detail. But am looking at unlocking bootloader for note 9s and flashing the Indian ROM for a friend. The need for Xiaomi dialer and contact plus call recording being the main reason.

My question thus, is it advisable and if yes, how do I go about it, thanks.
