If Ribadu want to die, I have not objection to that, but he should not saying that he is ready to die to rid Nigeria corruption because there is no sign that shows that we want to even break him leg in fighting corruption. Ribadu want us to write petition against OBJ before he start to investigate him. Ribadu want us to write petition against IBB before he investigate him. All the petition written by Gani against IBB is not enough, what does Ribadu want before he prosecute IBB? Let him tell us people that wrote petition on Atiku, Orji Uzor Kalu, Peter Odili, Chimaroke Nnamani, Joshua Dariye etc that he have investigated and prosecuted, Ribadu is only deceiving himself, when he start fighting corruption we will know. |
Politics / Ali (pdp Chairman) To Represent Nigeria As Ambassador, Oh I Feel Like Crying! by saintchux(m): 9:28pm On Sep 26, 2007 |
Yar'adua is making a very great mistake by sending Ali out of this country to represent us. What can he offer, how can he defend this country. At this point when Nigeria is going for a re-birth, we need people with integrity, not people that defend corruption in high places and call it family affairs. We need people that will sale Nigeria's dream to other countries and not somebody that chases journalist out of his office. I feel like crying, What will Ali offer. Please can senate reject him. LET SENATE REJECT ALI |

Politics / Re: How Can We Fight Corruption In Nigeria Or Should We Adopt Chinese System? by saintchux(m): 3:53pm On Sep 22, 2007 |
The problem we have in fighting corruption in this country is that almost all the processes used in fighting corruption is corrupt itself. Police - Corrupt Yar'Adua government - battling legitimacy as a result of fraudulent election EFCC - disregard to rule of law Judiciary - disregard to rule of law Legislatures - from one financial scandal to another. |

Politics / Re: Peter Odili Running From Efcc, No Way For Him! by saintchux(m): 6:30pm On Sep 21, 2007 |
Iyke-D: If the court grant Odili his request then, it should be obeyed. That does not mean that he is not corrupt. That is rule of law. What baffles me most is that the guys living outside this country keep of attacking us that in favour of rule of law as if that is how it is done in US and UK. Will FBI arrest anybody that court gave an order not to be prosecuted. Why should it be done in Nigeria. |
Politics / Re: Peter Odili Running From Efcc, No Way For Him! by saintchux(m): 6:16pm On Sep 21, 2007 |
McKren: I am for rule of law. Ribadu is over zealous and dancing to the turn of who he feels is supporting him. I still maintain that Ribadu should have vacated the ruling of Abia high court before arresting Orji Uzor kalu. If not, he should leave the guy alone. That does not mean am supporting Orji Uzo kalu, that is rule of law. Ribadu told NASS last year that he not answerable to them, Now because he is seeing presidency as no nonsense man, and does not support recklessness, he is running back to NASS for protection. I will keep on being on the side of rule of law and due process no matter what. It is only due process that will move us forward, not just allowing Ribadu to arrest people any how without recourse to rule of law and fundamental right of the individual involved. I did not support Peter Odili, neither did Is uport orji Uzor Kalu, I was against using corrupt means to fight corruption. |
Politics / Peter Odili Running From Efcc, No Way For Him! by saintchux(m): 9:16am On Sep 21, 2007 |
Peter Odili has approached Justice Regina Nwodo court in Port Harcourt to get ex-parte order restraining EFCC from arresting him. http://www.punchontheweb.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art200709211574451 It is too unfortunate that Orji Uzor Kalu has set a bad precedence in this country by using Abia High Court to stop his prosecution. Now Peter Odili is on it again, but thanks to Justice Regina Nwodo who rejected the request and put EFCC on the notice. I wonder why the government or even EFCC have not challenged the ruling of the Abia High court. That ruling will drag Nigeria 10 years backward if it is not over ruled soonest. We need more Justice Regina Nwodo. |
Politics / Re: Is Mallam Nuhu Ribadu Confused? by saintchux(m): 4:57pm On Sep 20, 2007 |
babasin: I agree that Ribadu want to save his job. Why should he run back to NASS. He should be bold enough to go to the presidency as he use to. It is now that he now that he is working for the people. While I am not supporting corruption, I sincerely believe that we will be better when everything works according to the rule. |
Politics / Is Mallam Nuhu Ribadu Confused? by saintchux(m): 11:54am On Sep 20, 2007 |
Malam Nuhu Ribadu said that EFCC is not answerable to AGF but to National Assembly. He told the National Assembly to make law and they will obey it. http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/news/article05/200907 I can still remember that when Ken Nnamani lead senate amended the EFCC act to reduce to power of Presidency on the control of EFCC, Ribadu said that National Assembly do not have power over them. Is malam Ribadu a confused man, Why is he dancing from one place to another. When OBJ is in power he was disobeying court order anyhow and arresting people with following the rule of law, Is he now running back to National Assembly which he said does not have control over EFCC during the last adminstration. |
Politics / Re: Is Oil A Curse Or A Blessing To Nigeria? by saintchux(m): 5:20pm On Sep 17, 2007 |
naijaking1: Because two brothers are fighting for oil because of their greediness, it is now a curse. What of those that are not fighting. I believe that the problem of oil in Nigeria is greediness and selfishness. If our leaders are providing essential ammunity and other social services from the proceed of the oil, people will not complain. |

Politics / Re: Federal Attorney General, Micheal Aondoakaa, May Mess Up Yar Adua by saintchux(m): 3:56pm On Sep 14, 2007 |
Mamajama: we have to start somewhere. I was against Yar'Adua in that the April election was a sham, but what shall we do, is the question now. The election has come and gone, shall we take up gun and matchet to push Yar'Adua out of Aso rock? No. We have to follow what the law say, by going to tribunal, whatever they say we take. As for IBB, God dey. One day Pharoh that does not know Joseph will come. |
Politics / Re: Federal Attorney General, Micheal Aondoakaa, May Mess Up Yar Adua by saintchux(m): 2:30pm On Sep 14, 2007 |
Sentiment apart. We know that all these former governor sucked Nigeria dry, likewise OBJ, but we have to follow due process and rule of law in prosecuting them. For instance in Madam speaker financial scandal, the reason given for not following due process is because of the urgency of the job, that is what is happening all the time. EFCC want to do everything faster, thereby not following due process. We have seen alot of thing that were reverse because due process were not followed. It is the samething that is happening to Kalu/EFCC. Why can't someone challenge the Abia high court verdict? I am not against EFCC in their fight against corruption, my only concern is following due process and rule of law. I believe that if EFCC follow due process thing will work well. It will take time, but we will truimph. |

Politics / Re: Federal Attorney General, Micheal Aondoakaa, May Mess Up Yar Adua by saintchux(m): 2:05pm On Sep 10, 2007 |
The AGF is doing his job. Yar'Adua believe in the rule of law and the constitution should be followed strictly, no matter the flaws. If Abia high court should ruled that Orji Uzor Kalu should not be arrested, why not challenge the ruling 1st before arresting him. EFCC to the best of my knowledge is doing good work, but it must be done with the law, by obeying court order. With this new administration arrested citizens are now arraigned within 48 hours of arrest, compared to last administration. So I do not think that AGF is doing badly. Rule of law need to be obey no matter how good the intention is. for e'g naira denomination was suspended because due process was not followed. Those of you that are calling AGF names are leaving outside this country. Can EFCC behave this way if they are in US or UK for instance. |

Politics / Re: Yar'adua To Rule For 15 Years? by saintchux(m): 5:35pm On Sep 08, 2007 |
@babasin I now understand why we do not develop. Just because Yar'Adua has a fifteen years plan means he is going to rule for fifteen years. It is so unfortunate that when developed country are planing for their great grand children, we want to plan only for ourselves and our tummy. I now understand more why Naira denomination was quash, some people are asking why should soludo plan to implement naira denomination in August when his tenure expires in June. I think I now understand why there is alot of decay in our system. They build road just to last for four years, so that after four year a new government will reconstruct it, they equip the hospital only for their tenure, so that after that a new government will decide either to equip it or build a new one. I think I understand better now. FYI: Nigeria will never develop with all this four years plan. If Yar'Adua have a 20 years plan, no problem. The issue should be that the plan should involve all the stalkholders so that when he leaves the office, the next president will be able to carry the plan forward. What we need is continuity of good plans and not starting afresh. Those that started millennium development goal may not be there when it is achieved. If OBJ had carried all stalkholders along in the selling of refineries, reforms the education sector, and concession and waviers given to importers, etc, Yar'Adua would have continued with other business rather than reviewing and canceling it. Please let there be plans, even 50 years plan will be welcomed, provided it will make Nigeria great. |

It is good that FG stopped the consolidation of universities and poly. Let B.sc and HND be, like UK after your HND u can go for a top up course and obtain a B.Sc. So why scrap HND because there is discrimination between the two. Sijien: I agree |

I agree with everyone, yes we need money, but the question should be how much money. How much do I need to make my g/f happy. What really constitute her happiness, is it taking her to silver bird, TFC or going to club. Is it staying indoor through out the weekend. Is it the man he is? The choice is yours. To me money contribute less to the happiness in relationship. If money = happiness then rich people would have been the happiest people on earth. But they are not. |

Am not suprised that this is happening. This is Nigeria where Superior deny their surbordinate easily because there discussion was not in black and white. How can yaradua convince us that Soludo just wake up and start making prnoucement of re-denomiation of naira without consulting him This just remind me of OBJ and Atiku on PTDF saga where Atiku said that OBJ gave him a verbal approval and OBJ denied. Welcome to Nigeria. they have started playing ludo with us, it is so unfortunate that Yaradua is learning from OBJ, and I don't want to agree with Balarabe Musa that Yaradua will be worst than OBJ. |
