Romance / Re: How Do You Overcome Temptation? by saintchux(m): 7:00pm On Jun 15, 2010
@Poster

This temptation is everywhere!!

In your office(Department/Unit), eating at canteen in your office, going down the floors, inside the lift. In the banking hall, in the church, even during bible study, but the worst is when is at home.

If it happens in the office, or church. At the end of the day, I will leave those places and go home, but when it happens at home, where will I go.

If the girl in my department sitting opposite me decide to open her leg, i can either decide to look or become busy with my system.

If the Teller in the banking hall decide to show me her breast, I will also choose to look or start filling another deposit slip.

If at home when i have defeated all the temptation in the office and other public places, my house maid decide to tempt me, i have only one choice, remind her what she is. HOUSE MAID.

The problem most of us have is not having an acceptable limit, anything goes. If you decide what is acceptable to you, then some of this will not happen.

It is not easy being alone. It take God Grace and A LOT OF DISCIPLINE. Mind you many so called pastors are falling everyday. The so call brother and sisters in the Lord do worst things.

That's not a particularly different story from what obtains at most Nigerian companies.
I'd say it is due to the current depression in the sector. The bank workers are under lots of pressure right now. Rewind to four years ago, and that wasn't the case. Rather, bankers were the toast of the town.

There is work pressure every where, it seems as if the bank is more prominent now because of the crises in the banking sector. B/4 August 2008, bankers are enjoying.

There is salary cut, so life style have to change.

No more PS for banker, so holidays abroad have stopped.

Money is no more flowing as it use to flow. No more loan to marry 3rd wife. No more loan to run for governorship election. No more loan to purchase goods at dubai. The billionaire in the country can not just get loan because of who they are. It is no longer business as usual. So banker don't get the TGIF from their customers any more.

Politics / Amnesty For Kidnappers In Abia State by saintchux(m): 3:07pm On May 24, 2010
It baffles me to see Abia state government declare amnesty for repentant kidnappers. I think that this country is in trouble. very soon repentant prostitute, repentant 419ner, repentant killer etc will come up for amnesty.

Some people that decided to cause harm to people to enrich themselves are now to be granted amnesty in the name of repentance.

If they repent from kidnapping, they should just stop it and go and make peace with their God and humanity, than coming up for another government funding in the name of amnesty after unleashing terror on innocent citizen.

I think that these criminal should be prosecuted rather than granting them amnesty.

@chiconfire
Most times i wonder why men go a long way lying to satisfy their lust.
i went out with a guy for 2 years, and he never told me he was married,  i remember asking him couple of times and he said he is not married, i cook, go to his house, and even have d keys to his apartment, all for me to wake up one morning and realise my guy i have investing in is a married man whose wife stays in enugu,
i was really in luv and till now he still claims he loves me thats why he never told me,
its difficult loving another now even when i have met different men that wants to settle down, i cant just place my heart to love any comfortably.

Sorry for that!!!

Love does not tell lies, so the man do not love you, rather he lust you.

Your love to him may be great, but now you know that he is married. 2 yrs is so much to have stay with somebody and just wake up one day and park out, but for you not to get a clue that he is married for 2 yrs still baffles me, does it mean that for the 2yrs, the wife never came to visit him or no call while you are with him or text message that make you suspicion of him.([s]should I believe that this is a true life story)[/s] You have to run for dear life not only that it is a sin to stay with a married man, but the fury of a woman is more than that of hell fire. Don't allow the wife to catch you. You don't know before, but now you know, so you sin more now if you continue in the relationship, unless your religion encourages more than one wife.

The FG has set up a committee to ascertain whether on the basis of the Okigbo report a criminal charge can be sustained against former military president General Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida (rtd) over allegations of corruption and mismanagement of $12.4 billion in the Dedicated and Special Accounts while he was in power.

See Here

Most of the time topic at NL gives a different impression from the message in the topic like this one. On seeing it, I thought FG has already concluded and made a statement, only for me to FG is still trying to ascertain.

I too want IBB prosecute not just because of $12.4 Billion but for annulling June 12 and the death of my darling Journalist Dele Giwa.

If june 12 1992 election was not annulled, now Nigeria would be moving in a faster lane. But see us now trying to emulate Ghana, just because of on man - IBB.

VOTE FOR IBB.

Politics / Re: FG Endorses Sanusi! by saintchux(m): 1:07pm On May 21, 2010
@clintonwhite
I would speak as someone who had worked in the banking sector.
MFB, don't contribute anything to this economy, I as a person was angry how this micro finance banks were run (At that time, i was still in a bank).

banks were asked to give up a certain percentage of their profit to help the economy (give up = = close their eyes towards that cash).
They all agreed during the bankers meeting, then what happened, they turned it into another capital money making venture.
These banks were supposed to use this profit to help those who couldn't access loans because of no collateral .
The interest rates were to be very very low, hence to enable the poor entrepreneur break even.

If they had adhered to the reason for its creation, by now, the economy would have grown and jobs would have been created.

Sls didn't erode any confidence, bankers themselves knew that the books were cooked.
There was no confidence amongst the banks, Banks were able to do interbank because CBN gave their word as a security in case any of the banks failed.

Am yet to see one person that has accurately defined the correct manner in which sanusi should have done the reform, instead we have Criticisms up and down.

I have not seen any reform that had taken place without Pains.
I would end by saying, if you are on a highway to a destination and you find that you are going the wrong direction, your best option would be a u-turn towards the right direction.
( Though you would not be comfortable with it because of the time spent, petrol burn't, etc but you still have to do it anyway).

I doubt if you really worked in a bank. How does a company contribute to the economy. A company that employes people, make profit for the owner, pay tax to Government, alleviate poverty, give loan to people to do business. haba!!! How do commercial bank you claimed you worked with contribute to the economy([s] wiring our money outside the country in foreign exchange abi!!![/s])

I don't know how else to erode confidence in a bank when the regulator tell the whole world that the CEO of bank should be killed by firing squad, that all their books are cooked, that there is no corporate governance in the bank, that he will interview the MD/CEO before appointment, which means the current MD/CEO are not fit.

1. The major problem is that the who is who in the country is owing them and refused to pay or service the loan.
2. There is insider abuse of facilities
3. Lack of good corporate governance
4.etc

What should SLS have done (strategy)
1. Get the board of the bank to force the MD/CEO & co to resign without causing panic in the banking sector - Wema bank example during Soludo tenure.
2.Get those owing the bank to pay using EFCC & co as he did
3.Get the new management to implement the corporate governance.
4.Get the MD/CEO & co prosecuted
5.Allow the Discount window for the banks to borrow, there is no need 4 bail out since they will recover the NPL.

Reforms is not cause pains but to make things work well. If the reform is causing pains without gain, then it is not reform.

Already before he came their a discount window for them, which mean that the person that left know their is a problem and is handling in a matured manner. But SLS came in like a militant. Nobody is against reform in the banking sector, after all many people lost their job during consolidation period, business were closed and people died.
Politics / Re: FG Endorses Sanusi! by saintchux(m): 6:07pm On May 20, 2010
When people commend SLS, i wonder what they are talking about. SANUSI damaged the economy. We are in May, by next month, it will be one year since his reform started, and there is no activity in the banks, rate has crashed that interest on saving is heading to zero.

We are not saying that the bank CEO's that mismanaged their banks did very well, but there are better strategy SLS should have used to solve the crises, without throwing away the confidence people have in the banking sector and putting the economy at risk. SLS eroded the confidence people have in the bank, criminalized borrowing and make bank to demand for your great grand father's guarantee before they offer you a facility.

Let talk about those that lost their job, company that has gone under, and those that are on death bed, imagine the Aero contrator is struggling to survive as result of the same SLS reform. A reform should help energize industries and the economy and not the kill them.

How can a CBN governor say that MFB does not contribute to the economy, and yet they employed and pay people salary, they give loans etc.

Just like Remi Babalola said CBN is running their affairs as the spirit leads.

SLS has condemned consolidation, why is SLS going for consolidation now, after thought abi?.

I know that CBN governor is a tenored appointment, it is not going to be easy to remove SLS, but FG should reform his reformation.

Job satisfaction is one thing, then the pay is another thing. While I do the job make as much as I can and quit to something more satisfying or should i stick to something I love and make less pay. The decision is your.

Why are you in a Job? Simple!!! to make a living. What will you use to make the living - money of course!, i
Do you want to make money or get satisfied working?? Your choice depend on you.

On the pay of 200K + and 90+. I bet you that someone collecting 90K in Enugu may save more than someone collecting 200K in Lagos. The transport cost in lagos, House rent etc compared to Enugu. It is cheap to live in Enugu. No traffic problem, Good network of road etc.

I can go to Enugu and collect 90K, if I have the same proposal like yours, no kidding!!! t is not how much you earn that matters, it is how much you can save after deductions.
Business / Re: Bank Marketers, Are They Trying To Seduce Me With Romance Or What? by saintchux(m): 4:35pm On May 18, 2010
It is so unfortunate that are thinking is so devilish and myopic. We are yet to understand what customer services means. This remind me of one papa Ajasco episode I watch, after buying some goods from a super market the sales lady said to him ' Thank you sir, please come again' Papa Ajasco was excited and asked the Lady when does she want him to come.

That just show the intent of our heart. An innocent lady who was trying to satisfy a customer was misunderstood by a man with evil intent. If it is a man that offer that option what will you say?

Though, i still doubt your story, as you telling me that you don't have time to fill account opening form in the bank and you want to put your money there. Haba!!!. You want to deal with the bank from your hotel room.

I DOUBT YOUR STORY?

What David Mark is doing is to buy more time for Joy Emordi. Joy left initially when the Appeal court nullified her election. But when she could not replace Dora Akunyili as a minister, then they went to interpretation of a ruling that I as a lay man understood very well.

I just pity this country, the more they do all this rubbish, the more western world look at us as fools and selfish.

It is so unfortunate and your feelings will be hurt. The worst part of it is that your brothers may grow up to believe that it is normal to beat a woman. Women should be protected whether it is your wife or not.

What you should do is this;

1. Talk to your mum and find out what she does that make you father beat her, let her know that it affect you and you really need her understanding in telling you the truth so that you know where you can help. Let her restrain from doing that thing just for one day, one week or one month.

2.If it does not work; Let one of your brother talk to your father man to man, informing him that his beating to your mother is disturbing you people. Let him find out what your mum does to him that make him beat her.

3. After that and there is no improvement, your father should have a friend that he respect, talk to that your fathers friend.

4. In still it persist, you should has a place of worship, talk to your religious head.

5. Then after that and it persist; u need a marriage counselor or consult me,

Fresh Poser Over Missing Aircraft

http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/news/article03//indexn2_html?pdate=260408&ptitle=Fresh%20Poser%20Over%20Missing%20Aircraft

MORE posers have been raised over the fate of the pilot and the crew of the Obudu-bound Beechraft 1900D declared missing last month.

Aviation experts and associates of captain Augustine Egbedi, who sought anonymity, told The Guardian that he could not have flown a faulty aircraft.

According to them, Egbedi was too security and safety conscious to fly a plane that was not in good shape.

Even thought the immediate family of the late captain declined to comment on the fate of their breadwinner and the accident, The Guardian learnt that they were not also convinced that the plane actually crashed.

According to a source, there was nothing to suggest that the aircraft belonging to Wings Aviation Ltd crashed as being speculated.

The source said even the aircraft manufacturers based in Canada said there was nothing to point to a possible crash by the light aircraft.

The source said when contacted, the manufacturers said that if the plane was involved in any mishap, a device installed in it would have triggered an alarm in their office in Ontario, Canada.

Only yesterday, a national daily, (not The Guardian) reported that the aircraft was not missing. It alleged that the airline, owned by a former governor must have been flown to a neighbouring country to frustrate the effort of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to prosecute him.

Aviation experts corroborated the doubts being raised over the alleged crash when they said that the aircraft would have automatically sent signals about its location.

The family of the co-pilot of the plane, have resigned to fate over the safety of their son. Alhaji Muhammad Ahmed Tongo, a Federal Commissioner of National Population Commission (NPC) and father of the co-pilot had narrated that when he heard of the missing aircraft, he panicked and called his son's phone number to confirm whether he was involved but the line was out of reach.

All efforts he made to reach his son's associates to know whether he travelled within the period of the incident he said failed as nobody seemed to know his whereabouts.

At that point, he said he became suspicious, which was heightened when an unknown caller who introduced himself as the MD of the Wings Aviation, said that he regret to inform him that his son was among the three-member crew of the missing aircraft."

Tongo said the MD asked him not to lose hope, and that the family should continue to pray "since then we have been praying but no positive information up to this time."

He said he reached the MD two days later, who said he would be in Obudu along with some officials for a search.

Tongo then proceeded to Gombe his hometown from Abuja for the condolence session. He told the MD that he would make a stopover at Bauchi Airport for the arrival of his son's body but there was nothing like that.

Penultimate Thursday, according to him, he got a call from somebody who told him to hold on for the Governor of Cross River State, Mr. Liyel Imoke, who sympathised with him over the tragedy.

The co-pilot was born 35 years ago. He was the fifth in a family of 11 and attended the Covenant Secondary School, Bauchi, the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria and Forth Elizabeth College in South Africa.

This is to inform the general public that on Tuesday 13/11/2007, the InterSwitch Network Server hosting First Bank Nig plc, UBA plc, Intercontinental Bank plc, GTB plc, EcoBank plc and all other Nigerian banks on the InterSwitch network was infected with an Mpack Multi-Pertite Malware (a computer virus used by cyber criminals to access and steal information from a database).

Approximately 1,500,000 (One million, Five hundred thousand) ATM Card numbers; PIN numbers and other ATM Card data have been confirmed stolen.

Though it is still unclear how many ATM machines have been infected with the virus, computer security experts say 80% of ATM machines on the InterSwitch network would have been infected. As at 6pm local time, we had received 517 complaints of unauthorized cash withdrawals from ATM machines mostly in Lagos and Port Harcourt.

Currently, we have computer security experts and law enforcement agents working to resolve the situation.
However, to prevent unauthorized money withdrawals from accounts, all InterSwitch ATM Card holders are STRONGLY advised to visit the InterSwitch website IMMEDIATELY to change their ATM PIN numbers Via the internet as these fraudsters can withdraw money from any of the affected accounts even without physical access to the ATM Card since they have the ATM Card details and current PIN numbers. YOU ARE HOWEVER ADVISED TO CAHNGE YOUR PIN NUMBER IMMEDIATELY.
Forwarding this alert to friends and family members would also help inform them and combat this fraud.
