Politics / Re: Dora Akunyili's Nephew Writes by saintchux(m): 2:48pm On Aug 05, 2010
There is a family problem everywhere. It is how you manage it that matters.

I do not know the tradition of the town where these people can from, but I know that if there is funeral and am a party to it, I can arrange a nearby place to entertain my guest. That is the tradition in my town.

I know the problem here is pride. I have heard from someone from Isuochi that the problem is soludo. Others say it is Dora

I have a comment from Dora saying that Soludo is persecuting her because he said she refused make him governor of Anambra state, knowing that only her can not make him governor. Soludo in the other hand said that Dora is the 48th candidate of PDP governorship aspirant, that she was lobbying Yaruda to be PDP consensus candidate and did not resign to come and join the 47 other aspirants . So I believe the issue is power between soludo and Dora. That all.
Politics / Re: PDP Zoning: Atiku, babangida remain Disqualified . Presidency goes to North West by saintchux(m): 6:06pm On Aug 04, 2010
Thank you my brother, I do not support zoning, but if zoning should even be, the aim is for everyone to have a taste of the elective post and nobody should take twice until every other person has taken.

IBB has been there, Atiku has been there, Niger state has been represented, Kastina, Plateau, Sokoto, Kano, etc. So we have to look for those states in the north who have not produced president before. Even if the president is zoned to Niger state. There are senatorial zone in the state have not produced president before, they should be allowed to taste it.

What IBB and Atiku do not understand is that in zoning they are disqualified because others have to take their turn before it reach them again. Even if it zone to Babangida family, All other members of the family has to take their turn before it come back to IBB.
Phones / Re: Mtn Is The Most Useless Organisation In Nigeria? by saintchux(m): 1:51pm On Aug 04, 2010
This a way of making money.

Let us analyse it.

If I want to call my mother during the weekend, I will pay N100 and my mother will pay N100 i.e N200. If I want to include my dad, I will pay another N100 and my dad will pay N100  i.e 200. Which mean for me to talk with my parents on weekend, I will spend N400 naira. Imagine 1000,000 people that will do that in a weekend. Your calculate will display error if you want to calculate this.

MTN is not giving us free call what they did is that they rolled out more product in the market, so if you like it buy, if you don't leave it.

For me, I will not buy it, with N400 on the plan I have now,I will have a family meeting with my parents and have balance. So why waste on weekend alone.
Moreover, I don't know why I should wait until weekend to call a friend. This MTN people should emulate etisalat in giving free call.

FYI
I just finished having meeting with Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan and he told me that zoning is not good for Nigeria. He has encouraged me to come out to contest for the president and he MAY not likely contest and he MAY likely support me and I MAY enventually win the election in january and MAY likely be sworn in in May.

Family / Re: Is Marriage Now Old-fashioned? by saintchux(m): 3:34pm On Jul 19, 2010
Marriage old fashioned?

Marriage is union & can not be fashioned.

Marriage is a union, it start from a period it is consummated and keep on moving. Just like you take your UME, pass enter year one, pass all your course, enter year two pass all your course, you enter year three, if you get tired in any year, you fail and may drop out of school, but if you pass you continue. That is marriage for you.

In marriage as years goes by different needs come up, our glamorous body changes, our energy diminishes, we have kids, privacy diminishes as a result of kids and house keepers, more pressure from work places, more demand for more resources, so it is only the courageous ones that survive, lean livered fall out in the name of divorce, separation and all that you have. Those that fall apart now see marriage as difficult and old fashioned and trade blames. Just like a student that failed some courses in school will attribute his/her failure to lecturer, cult boys/girls rather than not preparing well or going for a course she/he can not cope with.
Sports / Re: Our Falconets Are Being Shabbily Treated By Nigeria! by saintchux(m): 12:20pm On Jul 19, 2010
1.Super eagles is not equal to the falconet, that is the starting point.
2. If super eagles are paid $30K for a win, at least is reasonable that falconet be paid at least $5K.
Culture / Re: How Do You Define A Nigerian? by saintchux(m): 7:18pm On Jul 16, 2010
All these question is because Nigeria is not developed. Will the person be ashamed to say he/she is from South Africa is she/he was born in America.

I don't blame the person, It is the parent that refused to bring their children home that should be blamed. what language do they use in their house. That is the problem we have. Let there be 24 hrs light now, good road, good health facilities, good transport system, good security. All of them will now remember and claim Nigeria.
Business / Re: GTB Bank And Their Checking Balance Rule by saintchux(m): 5:25pm On Jul 16, 2010
dappssee:

As a customer, wouldnt you just prefer the easy way out. Its just like going to a customer service centre of your mobile operator each time you want to check your balance.

When you have assurances of a fraud free platform like the internet banking platform, why shouldn't you take advantage of it.

Internet bank fraud free?

Mind you mobile operator do not charge you for checking your balance.
If the banks should get a toll free balance enquiry alert, that will be good. But I bet you most of the sms alert in the bank comes with a cost attached to it.

youngies:

Who paid you to come here and de-market GTB?  undecided
Among all the commercial banks in Nigeria today, GTB ranks very high in ethics and good customer care.

If you have experienced any form of difficulty with your account, please channel it to the Branch Manager.
If his answers are not satisfactory, petition his/her superiors till you get a satisfactory response.

NL shouldn't be your first point of call, unless you have an ulterior motive.

If GT is the best bank, why this?

You must be a staff of GT, please advice them to stop such. The much they can do is the verify the person's signature and photograph. You can even confirm balance via phone if the person can problem answer to some question like

The domicile branch?
mother's maiden name?
Last three or five transactions
etc

But for a customer to walk into the banking hall & you refused to give the person balance, Sanusi must hear this.
Romance / Re: Why Is The Infidelty Of A Woman More Difficult For The Guys? by saintchux(m): 3:08pm On Jul 14, 2010
This is pure traditional!

In Africa, a man can marry as many wives as he can maintain. For a woman to marry more than one man, she must first divorce the first man. That is the starting point.

How do one of the wives feel when she knows that the husband is in the other wives bed room, Jealous but can do  nothing but wait for her turn.

Infidelity of women are taken serious because, women are honour to their husband. And if you expose yourself to another man, you have exposed your husband unclothedness to another man. The man will not find it funny.
NYSC / Re: The Minimum Wage Of N17, 000 Is Nonsense by saintchux(m): 2:17pm On Jul 13, 2010
Minimum Wage!!! = 17k

Maximum wage @

I think this is for Level 1 staff of public service

Your qualification will now determine what you will be paid. A graduate @ level 8 will definitely earn not less than 50K. An OND or NCE holder will not earn less than 25K, so please let us hold our peace because I have read in this forum many people complaining that they are been paid 25K in a bank and other places as B.sc or HND holders. So for me this is great to have increased it to 17k, mind you it was about 7.5K before.
What we should do now is to task GEJ to improve and open other sectors of the economy so that if am not getting enough pay after passing going to higher institution for 5 yrs, i will change my job without stress. If jobs can be swooped with easy, then employers will pay well.
Family / Re: Are Marriage Vows Difficult To Uphold? by saintchux(m): 4:46pm On Jul 08, 2010
The problem with marriage is not keeping the vow, but marrying with wrong motive.
1. Marrying a rich spouse not because of love but b/c of the money, so if the money finishes, then to your tent oh Israel.
2.Force marriage by parents.Minister child must marry a minister child etc.
3. Frustration as a result of getting old and not yet married. So you get married to any available person.

All these will make people not to think well before jumping into marriage and when they find that it is me and your till death do us apart. Wahala will come.
Family / Re: Are Marriage Vows Difficult To Uphold? by saintchux(m): 12:14pm On Jul 08, 2010
What are the marriage vows that are difficult to keep?

Then my question to poster?
1. Should abortion be legalized b/c some people get pregnant and don't want the baby.
2. Should we remove don't commit adultery from the commandment b/c people can't obey it?
3. can we legalize bribe by police b/c police are taking bride.

Sports / Re: Fifa Give Nigeria 48 Hours Ultimatum To Reverse Ban. by saintchux(m): 6:55pm On Jul 02, 2010
Thank God for a listening President

On these pages, Saturday Vanguard sports carried out a campaign to cleanse our sports, especially football that is stronger than religion, that gives Nigerians so much joy, which they are so passionate about to the extent of forgetting that dividends of democracy are yet to reach them, 11 years after they put their hope in Chief Olusegun Obasanjo when the military finally agreed to return to the barracks.

From Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, Rev Moses Iloh, Dan Ngerem, Elder Bode Oyewole, Adokie Amiesimaka, Richard Obienu, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde some others we can’t remember now, they all added their voice to the campaign.
The men who occupy the NFA Glass House at the nation’s expense, who believe they are untouchables because of the myth of FIFA hammer falling on the country would not listen but instead called us and these honourable men unprintable names.
Limiting ourselves to only the month of June, 2010 when the World Cup started, we at Saturday Vanguard sports decided to take our campaign to the doorstep of the presidency and thank God that unlike Chief Obasanjo, we now have a listening president in Dr Goodluck Jonathan.
Here are proofs of our service to our country, that football should be saved from the stranglehold of Sani Lulu Abdullahi, Amanze Uchegbulam, Taiwo Ogunjobi and Bolaji Ojo-Oba, the four musketeers who believe that football begins and ends with them, especially with the false belief of protection from their godfather.
A week to the start of the World Cup, June 5 when we scooped the formation of 14 sub-committees by the NFA when the country was not the host of the event, we wrote begging that “President Jonathan should block this NFA’s channel of waste.
We followed this with “ Football: Is Amos Adamu greater than Nigeria with a sub-title plans to ‘pocket’ President Jonathan. This was in reaction to Adamu’s move to ensure a return of the Lulu Board at the August election by blocking all negative mails on the NFA meant for the president, using his Chief of Staff, Chief Mike Oghiadohme.
Lulu was alleged to report the sports minister to FIFA citing interference when he (Alhaji Ibrahim Bio) advised the NFA to stop all election campaigns in South Africa to focus on the Eagles and their World Cup campaign.
After the Eagles crashed out and the NFA showed no regret over the woeful failure but instead called the PTF to render an account of the money it raised for the World Cup campaign, not minding that it had not done so itself and that the PTF doesn’t report to it but the presidency, we called on the minister thus: World Cup: Bio, now is time to audit NFA accounts.
If the president was not a listening type, these campaigns would have been waved aside but we would have been satisfied that we did not keep quiet when our football was being ‘killed’. Thank God for a listening president.

rhymz:

That is exactly where lies the moral dilemma, both the 2003 and 2007 primaries did not respect the "gentlema's agreement" in principle and in practice, however, the outcome usually does. Whether the primaries were just gimmicks to hoodwink the public into believing that the PDP had internal democracy is a question we would leave to the party management who did not deem it fit to fine those who almost wanted to flaw the agreement. But it can't be denied that the agreement exists and somewhat have been the basis they have used to choose who their flag bearer is. GEJ coming out to act like the agreement did not exist and was not the basis Yaradua( who never was interested in becoming president)and him( never stood a chance with the more ambitious Odili who didn't want to play second fiddle) were selected would be tantamount to saying, "hey northern fellas, this is what you get from entering into an agreement with a southerner, a stab in the back".

naija_swag:

I can see that you need a lesson in belonging to groups. If Nigeria is not comfortable with FIFA, they can withdraw their membership or abide by FIFA rules.Nigeria was never coerced to join FIFA.When you belong to an association, you live by the rules or quit.Nobody should justify GJ,the same warning has been issued to France for just calling their NFA for congressional hearing. If w remain adamant and refuse to yield to the voice of reason,I see a four year ban coming.

Nigeria is not begging FIFA to allow them participate. Nigeria said I want to withdraw for 2yrs, let me put my house in order. If it is against FIFA rule, let them sanction us and let us be. Is there any problem with that.

Let us see what will happen within the 2yrs of re branding Nigeria football.
Politics / Re: Ekwueme: PDP Agreed On Rotational Presidency by saintchux(m): 3:50pm On Jul 02, 2010
Am not a politician. Why because most of them can not be trusted.

1. In 1999, PDP had a gentle man agreement that south should produce the president. Why should south produce the president: Because MKO Abiola from south won 1983 election and was annual by IBB, so to compensate the south, North is now generous to allow a southerner to taste the presidency. Funny abi.
2. In 2003 PDP said that the gentle man arrangement still exist, but some northerners contest for primaries in the PDP, they were allowed to buy form. PDP did not sanction them.
3. In 2007 PDP said presidency now goes to the north, some southerners bought form, and contested the primaries. yaruda a northern won. PDP did not sanction the southerners nothing happened, business as usual.
4. Now toward 2011, Yaruda died, the table turn around. The president is now from the south. The north do not want the president to contest the primaries. WHY because he is from the south.

That is why I do not like politics. If nobody was bared from at least contesting the primaries. Why are people worried and running temperature if GEJ want to contest. This is primaries oo, not general election.

I am not an admire of Tony Anineh because of his role in June 12, but for once I have seen him say the truth, may be because it may favour him, but it is the truth. He agreed that there is such agreement but it is not sacrosanct. It is not observed.

Those that are against the ban, please take heart.

We have our 2 years withdrawal  and FIFA have their ban. good!!!

GEJ will not withdraw the ban on supper eagles, caretaker has already be set, to be sworn in on Monday. FIFA if they like it ok, if not ok.

FIFA rules allows you to prosecute corrupt FA officials
FIFA did not ban us when EFCC said it was investigating Glen Hoddle's allegation
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/mar/18/glenn-hoddle-nigeria-police-investigation

But you cannot just remove them
And there is a reason for this
Political interference often destroy things - Nitel, NNPC (how many GMD in the last 5 months?)
We suddenly believe that government is the sole agent of good - compare Nitel to MTN

If we allow political interference of this kind under Johnathan, what happens under a thoroughly corrupt government - burial of our sports

I love that, govt just intervened because they are not performing. If they are performing govt will not have intervened. To get a flight from London to south Africa government intervened by getting them air lifted. To get a hotel for super eagles govt intervened, to pay coach govt intervened. then why no just scrap those guys.

As for NNPC & co, govt is intervening to position those organisation. Just see the intervention of govt in MTN & co promo. Govt want to protect innocent Nigeria from fraud in the name of promo, that is what govt is doing  in sports now, to protect innocent Nigerians from untimely death and heart attack from super eagles poor performance. IT IS THE DUTY OF GOVT TO PROTECT THE CITIZEN. HOW MANY SUPER EAGLES WIN WILL BRING BACK THE LIvES OF THOSE THAT DIED DURING THIS WORLD CUP.

I agree with you. It will set us back for a long, long time. People allow emotions to cloud their reasoning, which is clearly evident with all these supporters of the ban. They won't realize it until when they don't see Nigeria competing in the next African Cup of Nations and all the other tournaments. How will our young footballers showcase their talent?

We  have good players, and all we need is to get rid of the NFF administration. By the way, there is an upcoming election, so what is all the suspension about?

Emotion is everything. You are against the ban because of your emotion for football and probably love for football. we are supporting because of our emotion and may be love for our dear country. How many Nigerian died during the world cup?

Johnathan argued, and rightly, that he has to follow the law, as it currently stands (no matter how much we dislike the idea of a player appointing an umpire - INEC chairman)

Nigeria is a sovereign country and if FIFA rule is affecting the unity and lives of the people of this country, the government owe us a duty to intervene, which GEJ did. I love that. Is ist supper eagle of Nigeria or super eagle of FIFA. Can susper eagle exit without Nigeria. If government can spend money on sport, why can't they interfere. Somebody will be staying somewhere ruining this country and claiming non government interference in sport.

Let FIFA ban us for 10 year if they like, Nigeria is an emerging force in the world. FIFA will come back begging us to host their tournament.

Let GEJ use this opportunity to re brand Nigeria. Ghana is making progress in everything, because thngs are working well in the country and everyone is giving the best.
