Science/TechnologyRe: Where Do You Think Ideas Come From? by saintneo(m): 5:48am On Apr 04, 2016
God is the originator of ideas, no offence to atheists.

Ideas coming to life is like a spark. There needs to be proper excitation for an idea to be generated.

Back in the University, we had an assignment on deriving Townsend's second equation on breakdown of gaseous insulation. For two weeks we had no result. We came together as a class to solve it, yet for another 1 hour of joint session we could make any head way. On our way out of the classroom, I bought a bottle of coke to quench my thirst; before I could finish the coke, I had my eureka moment, and the rest was history.

Some friends attributed my solution to the quantum energies from the coke storming my brains with some alpha particles .... lol!

Acts of individual jealousy and hate cannot be curbed by the State, it is personal. Trying to do so would be a total waste of time. If people decide on their own to love one another and promote their mutual interests, good for them; but the government can't force people to love themselves.
Apparently, government can influence the mutual existence of people; by ensuring equity and justice.

Educating people on the relevance of their neighbours in their society can go a long way in sowing seeds of mutual respect and co-existence amongst people. Alienating cultural practices that bring about negativity can make people be at peace.

People ask me why i do not support Biafra even though i'm a proud Nwa afo; A homogenous igbo society would be as boring asf. Why? Let's overlook the pretenses for a second, and all the false sense of brotherhood. The bitter truth is that we hate ourselves. A typical igboman is more accommodatiing to a stranger he's met just for a day than a brother he's known his entire life. We feel we are in competition against ourselves always. A typical visit to any igbo village would confirm this truth. Most of the youngmen are running far away from home because most people at home would do anything to make sure they do not succeed. An igboman would prefer to help a foreigner get a job in his office than his own kin.
The crab mentality is the bane of the typical igbo society.

You do not need to look far to see this. You remember the Nairaland Biafrans boycott? and how many of us swore to never ever visit this forum again? and how we went ahead to start our own 'igbo' forums. grin

Those seemingly igbo forums are a typical example of what Biafra would look like if it ever comes to pass.

I followed those forums. From Biafra Republic to Ala Biafra and then Biafra town. The first few weeks every member was high on Biafra. People were trooping in like crazy. One of the forums even had up to 2000 signups in a day. Even Nairaland would be jealous of that stats. Promises were made. Loud members were ranting on how they were going to build a forum that would beat Nairaland hands down. They promised huge sums.

Few weeks down the line, the forum is still active. some members joined, some couldn't bear it and bummed off. The forum remained active. More promises made and none kept.

2 months down the line, the forums have turned to graveyards. All the flare and plomp are gone. people start wondering what the hell they were doing here in the first place. all members flee and return back to the Nigerian forums they all love and leave the wonderful biafran forums to die a slow and painful death.

Biafra republic that used to have 3000 members online can't even boast of 3 users online. Biafratown is really pathetic but i must commend the admin. Dude posted 3000 topics all by himself grin. Ala biafra is dead and gone. embarassed

This is a true reflection of what biafra would look like. After the pomb and flare, the reality starts to bite and people go back to their vomits. But this time around, they might not be as lucky and the vomit might no longer be available to swallow back.

Biafra is boring and i want no part of it. cool
WRT bold sentence, I must say that, this is the reason why I don't want Biafra. Our people can be very wicked, cheats and selfish; however, if these acts can be curbed I will prefer Biafra to Nigeria.

There is another case of a woman that deceived my friend. The lady had done surgery to remove fibroid once before, I don't know the type of soup she cook for my friend o, they ended up marrying each other despite several warnings from my friends family. At the end of the day, after about 7months after marriage, she was always complaining of stomach ache, stomach ache, friend thought she was pregnant or she had ulcer or something Meanwhile all her lab test results before marriage were all forged. It was at the hospital they did scan, did all sort if thing and it was discovered that the second fibroid was growing in her womb. My friend spent huge amount of money to get her operated upon and rehabilitated. After a while, he filed for divorce. He relocated from his house straight up. Lady started begging us to settle the matter. We all said OK. That was how they divorced. Prelude to marriage, women may be deceptive, men may be deceptive. You have to pray hard, open your eyes, apply wisdom when looking for a spouse.

I seriously don't understand the severity of this thingy fibroid

My sister told me of her problem with fibroid and she wanted to have children. She didn't operate on it; however, she now has a baby boy. (All glory to God)

Wike why?

With all the Billions of the State Money you deploy for Political Killings, you still cannot build a good drainage system in your State?what a shame of a State.
Amechi had this road for eight years but didn't work on its drainage.

Now that this problem has reoccured I am sure Wike will stop at nothing to ensure this does not repeat again.

Wike has surprised me in less than a year. Many unmotorable roads were worked on by his government and he plans dredging the waterside areas.

NB: I'm not from Rivers State.

Dear Nairalanders,

This is the economic team that Jonathanians wish was still in power or want us to bring back to save Nigeria.

I pulled out this from 2 different sources as Nairaland political gladiators see Premium Times as APC sympathetic while Vanguard as PDP sympathetic. There shouldn't be any issue of biased reporting

Essense of this flash back;

There have been several attacks of the person of President Buhari and his Econmic team with Honourable Kemi Adeosun as the minister of finance and coordinating minster of the economy.

Oil price per barrel between Febuary and April 2015 hoovered between 54 to 57 dollars per barrel.

It is interesting to know that at this price, Jonathan and the mother of our economy were already borrowing to pay salaries and meet up obligations to contractors.

What would have been happening when oil went as low as 28 USD per barrel. Would Nigeria have been sold?

Naira was devalued to 197naira per dollar yet in didn't solve any problem as Nigeria still had to keep borrowing.
Will devaluing Niara solve anything now?

Fellow Nigerians,

Despite the lowest oil price rate of all times, President Buhari and Mrs Kemi Adeosun have never borrowed to pay salaries rather they have dished out bail out funds to states to pay salaries.

Despite the low oil prices, President Buhari was able defeat BokoHaram Technically. Please Note that alot of money is also being spent on this war, something the past government was struggling to achieve despite the huge resources allegedly spent on the war.

The present Economic situation have been expected even before this adminstration as evident in the several warnings issued by the past minister of Finance.
You can read her comments here even when oil was 74USD per barrel in case u missed the thread.
https://www.nairaland.com/2898459/what-okonjo-iweala-said-when-oil

In summary;

Buhari inherited a very big problem and have so far so good tried is best to navigate the ship Nigeria safefly.

I urge Jonathanians to take a chill pill, and give this adminstration some time as its first ever budget have just been passed.

God bless the Federal Repubic of Nigera

God bless Mr President

God bless the Honorable Minister of Finance

1 millions likes for President Buhari and Mrs Kemi Adeosun grin
Amechi was one of such political gladiators. He went borrowing without caution. I can remember vividly how Amechi campaigned against the finding of the ECA - Excess Crude Account.
