PoliticsSenator Shehu Sani Distributes 100,000 Transistor Radios by saints2(op): 1:24pm On Jan 25, 2016
Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central in the senate, distributed 100,000 transistor radios to members of his constituents in Kaduna state yesterday January 24th. According to him, the transistor radios will help raise the political consciousness of the people. He said;

“We come from the part of the country where the major and most important source of information is the radio. Radio is an empowerment, a form of education and enlightenment. It enables people to have access to information and also have an opportunity to express themselves. I am sharing it to the downtrodden within the cities and the rural areas so that they would be abreast with what is happening within their own locality, national and state" he said

Science/TechnologyRe: Frozen Fish Comes Back To Life After Being Defrosted (Video, Pics) by saints2(op): 7:10pm On Jan 23, 2016
musicwriter:
There was actually a documentary about that, I think on Discovery channel or National geographic. Rats were frozen for 7 days and later brought back to life upon thawing. It's just the same way sperms are frozen for years until being implanted into a woman's womb, when there's need to birth a child.

The idea was to get the science advanced such that humans can decide to die temporarily. And depending upon your request you could be resurrected in 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, and so on, as you wish.

It's certainly the kind of science I would like to volunteer for, if need be. I can't wait to die!
Wow.. Thats deep...

Thanks for the update.

Science/TechnologyFrozen Fish Comes Back To Life After Being Defrosted (Video, Pics) by saints2(op): 6:07pm On Jan 23, 2016
A video has surfaced online showing a fish that survived after being frozen in a freezer. The fish was removed from the freezer and dropped into a small metal tank, where it floats motionless for about a minute, before stirring its fins and emitting a few bubbles then gliding around the tank, appearing to have been brought back to life. See more photos...

I did a story on Orile Agege General Hospital on how patients sleep on the floor, if you missed it, read it

https://www.nairaland.com/2876148/general-hospital-orile-agege-where.

I got in touch with my source so as to get to more info from him, and he volunteer himself to check things for himself, lo and behold, the hospital has changed, I was inform that the state government got wind of their activities and they scold them and ask them to adjust. I was also inform that since on Friday, last week, they have stopped the excess in take of patients and that patients no longer sleep on the floor and at reception as before again.

We still appeal to Lagos State Govt. for more bedspace and other facilities. Shout out to all those who have called, tweet, and seen this online, God bless you all, and to my source, You are the best, thanks for your time.

I want to end this piece by quoting from my mom's saying, which says, Don't do what you won't be proud showing off, if you are in the place of power today, please do the right thing, so that history be favour you.

There is something wrong with the photos. perhaps we didn't get the real pics.

FACT: 1.
There is no hospital ward in this country with chairs..............so OP need to explain better, not just deceptive pics.

FACT: 2.
There must be special bond between a staff or the hospital and patient. e.g Tribalism or nepotism or humanitarian.
I am sure no bed space but the doctor or patient agree to rest or being treated there.
Bros, thanks for your observation, but I will direct you to read the story again.

I said a source sent to me one, two, there are no bed space left, as the hospital bed space are occupied.

I will go and get more story when I find things myself, my source is not able to take some detailed pictures as I would have done personally, and mind you he went there to visit someone, I was not there, I was sent the pictures to feature on my blog. So nothing deceptive about this, as pictures dont lie.

Thank you

Please, I need the mods to help me push this to FP please...

This is a general hospital at Orile Agege, in Lagos State. According to my source who visited this place, he told me that patients are been treated on bare floor, yes, I mean bare flood. He said the MD of this hospital has refused to discharge these sets of people when they complained of the condition of the hospital, the MD also stated that no one should be referred to any other hospital, knowing fully well that there is no bed space left again, the patients have no choice but to sleep on the floor, on benches and on the metal chairs at the reception.

The MD still made these patients to pay, even though they had no bed space and rats were rampant in this place, I was reliably informed that rats roam this facilities at will. An unconfirmed report have it that, there may be likely case of LASSA fever in this hospital.

I want to use this medium to call on the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Ambode, The commissioner of health, Dr. Jide Idris and other law enforcement to please go into this hospital before we have an epidemic situation in Lagos state.

Below are some pictures to know the state of hospital..

The renovation of the state-owned hospitals is gradual process that has been on for quite a while. So far, the state owned general hospitals in Ilorin, Offa, Omu-Aran, Share and Kaiama have all been renovated. That of Oro will soon be renovated as announced by the state govt.

It's, however, a good step that we are keeping the government on its toes.

Every day they said is a new of mystery and uncertainty. I was around the Sura Shopping Plaza for a business deal and lo and behold, I saw a strange thing, I mean strange... I have seen mallam mai ruwa (A water seller) selling water to people, but this scene seems strange, an office called mai ruwa to put water in their tank. They bought 250 liters of water and the mallam surely have a filled day of pouring water into the tank they used as reservoir. I spoke to one of the guys around why this is so, he said that the plaza has never has access to water that all the office/shops sort for water by themselves by buying from the water vendor and other means...

Its a good thing you are calling the attention of the government to this, I tell you this hospital has been in this condition for almost 20 years and even the road that led to the hospital is so bushy.

As a little girl I met it in this horrible situation and the government is not ready to do anything about it. But even if something is done will it be maintained?
