barcanista:Must you always comment? Must you talk? I used to respect and read your comments before with open mind, but what you have now become is embrassing... This is not how opposition is been formed brother, when you attack some, you give them a logical and a way forward solution, all I saw in you is to condemn, abuse and criminise. You fall my hand seriously. |

AleAirHub:Thanks bro.. but correcting some one doesn't mean you have to rude or you make the person look stupid, next time let's learn to use common. sense in dealing with issues. |
felixdanielthed:Hello Bro, I felt your pain, I used Nisibor manned by Thespecialone, and its been great, though we all had our flaws, but its been great... You can also check the thread by Ymodulus... https://www.nairaland.com/1819824/newly-found-shipping-agent-china I hope it helps. I ma just a learner ooo |
dav8id:Abeg, I dey wait in super HD.. My ogas them |
dav8id:That moment when your oga put you in spotlight, you better not mess up!!! My oga, I hail oo Let me be sincere enough that I am a newbie and this will be my second importation, but before I did this, I make sure I did the following: 1. I took a clue from Chuddy144 clues that you must take your time to survey your environment and find out what they need: I found out I am surrounded by tailors and mai-suya sellers which makes use of knives and scissors respectively, I find a way of balancing the equation and order for things that might help them, for example, a tailor wants to sharpen his scissors and because there was not light in his shop, he has to leave his son and come to our house and plug the smoother to sharp his scissors, and I was ok... It seems am getting an idea. 2. Read, read and read!!!. Ymodulus encourages us to read and be observant always, even though I know what I want to order, I made sure I read reviews about this item am importing, for example, I bookmarked pages like Amazon.com, amazon.in and amazon.ca, those guys no dey send, they say it as it were and after 3 days of reading, I saw that 90% gave it an A mark, I was impressed that at least I wont had issues like I did before, it may interest you to note that despite the goods is yet to arrive, I have had 5 orders already, I was like wow. 3. Lastly, learn to start small... I love a part of the Bible that says, 'Despise not the days of thy humble begining', I was not that affected of the first order cos I spent like 15k, (though am certain, I will sell it) don't over do your self by investing all your savings and if it flops, it may affect you badly... I think I let others share theirs too, as I said, I am a learner. NB. Chuddy144 post actually motivated me to start this importation business and also to my mentor, infinticoncept as well, my tutor on whatsapp. Share more o... I am willing to learn. |
I will advise on you using entertainment to advertise yourself, barbaring saloon are mostly known for music and TV, maybe that can help, play the latest music and always encourage your customers to help advertise you to their friends that you would get a discount, and maybe you do a promo for first two weeks, maybe 25% off and more Just my take |
Hello folks, How business dey move? Shout out to the movers and shakers of this section and also to those giving their time to lecture and make us benefit from their well of experience, I can't mention you all, but God bless you all. To the topic, what are selling now at the moment and how has been your experience, what will you advise people NOT to import or what will you advice that they import for now? Let me start. My first experience in importation nearly discourage me, I went to import FIX IT PRO CAR SCRATCH REMOVER, and I took one of it to test it myself, lo and behold, it didn't work, and I went ahead to read reviews on it on ebay and Amazon, oh boy, I don mess up. I learnt that before I order or import any goods, I must first do detailed research and do my analysis and read reviews about it, so that if I meet any stubborn customer, I can easily convince him or her. Now to others, lets have what you importing now and your experience you want to share. |
kingsleyuk2003:Yes he is good and transparent, but I guess he should find other means of communication apart from whatsapp, He can use Skype and other medium, I know its hard to please Nigerians, but I will rate him 85%, just that at times, I advice maybe you follow up on some people. Thumbs up |
I believe it will get to the appropriate quarters... Thanks for your input |
Greetings to all in this forum, Permit me to firstly apologize if this is the wrong section, I was confused on where to post it. I started work as a Hub attendant with Jumia last year, ie 4th Dec., 2014, we are been asked to come to their Ikeja head office where we will be put into various sections, I was posted to be under Fancie Crops, which one Mr. Peter was part of them and also as the head of the driver, we are been told the rules and regulations and all the neccessary warnings, and after the whole introduction, one Mr. Tunji, TJ was asked to allocate us to our various post and places that are closer to us, and because I live around Ikoyi, I was posted to Yaba hub where a certain Ms. Theresa was the hub manager as at then. During the December period, we are not paid a dime, and when we complained, we are been told they are updating our files and we will be paid too, I received an sms from Fancie Corps to come for re-registration as to have our data and so that we can be paid, I have to borrow 1000 naira from my mom to be able to go there, all these while, we have not been given a dime and while we worked from Monday to Sunday, we have two shifts, 7am-7pm and 11am-9pm every day. Those who are called the staffs were given their salary while the new ones were not given a dime, after we complained to the management in Ikeja, mind you, its not from my hub alone, we are many according to what I heard, they sent a text message that we should come back again to do re-registration cos what the company gave the Jumia was too much and they have to verify their claims, mind you, this is around January 15th or 16th, I met with a man there called Cletus, he is at the quarantine area at the new warehouse at Ikeja, he took my data and all my details, and told us around them (this is around January that our money will be paid, I think those in Ikeja too are having challenges with this same company). We all went back to work, hoping they will keep to their words, and also people have been complaining to the Jumia HR at Ikeja about not paying, On 28th Feb., 2015, I was sacked, my reason for been sacked was not given, and they gave me 32,000 (note that we are meant to receive a total sum of 40-50,000 monthly) and when we asked of the remaining, I was told that Jumia will get to us, from Feburary till now, no calls, no mails, nothing was heard from Jumia. My pain was that those that were sacked was been accused of theft of an iphone 6s which looked quite stupid, and I was forunate that the security at the gate searched me thoroughly, they called the police to interogate, but later left. From Feburary to June, My money is still hanging, I have made all the neccessary efforts I can including calling Mr. Cletus the man that took my data and pictures and he told me that he has been sacked, I dont know how true this is. In all, I was owed 3 months, (from Dec to Feb) Please I want to use this medium to call on Jumia to pay us, cos my other fellows are being owed like me... JUMIA!!!, PLEASE PAY MY MONEY. I wont mind if this gets a frontpage space. Thanks and I am sorry if its quite long. cc: lalasticlala, Seun |
