damerry: The church celebrates today the feast of saint Andrew. The first disciple called by our Lord Jesus.
In the light of this celebration we are called to abandon our old ways of life just as saint Andrew and the other disciples abandoned everything to follow the Master and by learning from him, to teach others what they have learnt. As we enter into a new liturgical worship calendar the church calls us to imitate the life of this saint, that we may begin this liturgical worship year with the decision of following Christ in truth and in spirit. We should not imitate the old life of saint Augustine who said "God give me holiness, but not Today" grin
Today is the best time of leaving all unholiness behind to pursue holiness.

Saint Andrew is the patron saint of
Fishermen, fishmongers, mariners, Army Rangers, rope makers, singers and performers, Russia, Ukraine, diocese of Victoria and Greece.

Saint Andrew, pray 4 us.

Any Fisherman in the House? Behold your patron saint grin

Goodmorning smiley
Woaw I want to be a fisherwoman.
St Andrew pray for us.

Since it's weekend, I decided to come up with the following questions, seeking for answers to them

1) Which saint is known as the 'dumb ox' and why?

2)Which pope is the 118th in the succession of popes and when did he reign?

3)Which Pope officially declared 'Amen' to be used at the end of prayers or hymn and when was his reign?

4) The use of Halleluyah in religious activities was officially declared by which Pope and when was his reign?

5) Which Pope was the first to change his name upon election because he felt unworthy bearing the name of the great apostle.( What was his name before papacy and also his papal name) when was his reign.

Happy weekend to you!!!

woky: Good Jesus, according to your great marcy, have mercy on us. Most merciful Jesus, by that precious Blood which you willingly shed for sinners, we beg you to wash away all our sinfulness and look graciously upon me, a poor and unworthy sinner, as we call upon your holy Name. Therfore, Jesus, save us for the sake of your holy Name. Amen.

Ukuts gp: u hv nt also answered my questions and i am nt through yet. I told u that i hv more than 20 issues to raise
The questions i've not answered are the ones on your last post which i clearly told you i will answer when you must have answered mine because i have not less than 15 unanswered questions since yesterday. So if you want to continue, you know what to do. I don't want us to derail this thread.

But you've said something
Christianity Etc › Re: Religion Complaints Thread (sticky) by SalC: 6:06pm On Nov 29, 2013
Ukuts gp: so u dnt use to insult other churches. Isn't it? U are the saint, i am the bad person now abi? Why do u think i hv nt answered ur question. Hw has debating on a topic becomes a sin. Why cant u defend the book if it was inspired of God. And when did i insult ur church. I only said the apocrypha books are occultic and i gave my reasons. So what is ur point. They should ban me for nothing? Is that it? U hv to do a rethink. Back to the thread. Thank u mods.
Maybe you can show me where i ever insulted anybody's church. I said what i want to say here and have also defended and provided answer to all your questions on that thread, if you are truthful and want to continue on that thread, go back and answer all the questions you've been dodging since yesterday.
Christianity Etc › Re: Religion Complaints Thread (sticky) by SalC: 5:45pm On Nov 29, 2013
@Ukuts gp i have tolerated you enough starting from the thread in question. You have insulted my church and belief severally, but i kept my cool and called everyone to order yet you come here call the books of my bible occultic and saying shame on us.
People should go to that thread and see who have been dodging the truth and refusing to answer question.

I still remember a time when Ajibam had to hide his own post for calling the catholic church occultic and i see no reason why it shouldn't happen again.
Let me wait for the mods to take action. This is my complait.

Ukuts gp: tell me when does arms giving becomes part of animal sacrifice use in making an atonement. Show me where the bible said that giving of arms can purge one of his sins.

In all the places 'arms' is used in the scripture, can u tell me how it was connected with the sacrifice of animals?

If arms is not giving, can u show me where it was used to mean the sacrifice of animals?

Can u tell me also were tobit was mentioned in the old testaments and when he existed?

Why do u and woky said a different thing?
Oga are you reading your imaginations into my post.?
I said alms giving is a kind of sacrifice and you cleverly turned it to animal sacrifice.
I will gladly answer your questions when you must have answered mine.
