thanks for the encouragement, its really needed. Gods time is always the best, IRCC is taking advantage of COVID to be lazy so there is nothing that can be done about it.

some people have been seperated from their spouses for extended periods and you are telling them to take it easy? people have their reasons for their actions. i see no problem in exploring loopholes in order to reunify with your family.

The ban is just temporary which will be lifted soon.

You already have your visa, why not wait till they lift the ban instead of putting yourself at unnecessary risk.

Hi guys! I just wanted to drop this here. I have an ongoing SOWP but I applied for visitors visa with the new portal on the 28th of October and it got approved today. It’s actually possible to apply for visitors while waiting on another TRV or PR application. I understand that this is something some people may not be brave enough to try without seeing who it has worked for first, which is why I dropping this here. Good luck guys!

it seems we applied almost same time. please update me if they are keeping to their schedule, likewise will do on my end. i dnt want them to develop laziness because they have stopped travel from Nigeria, because it is not impossible for these guys according to their track record.

Let me first start by saying e jor i didn't advise anybody we are all adults, i answered the persons question. nobody should hold me accountable for what happens to them.
However they are both temporary permit applications and dual intent is when you apply for 2 different classes of applications. they are both same class and you are expected to leave at the end of both of these applications.Finally me sef i did it waiting for a decision i will let you know how it goes when i get it. SOWP is reading 58 weeks to get a decision, i will not spend Christmas away from my spouse and waiting for IRCC to answer that SOWP will amount to that.

Hi, this fully vaccinated thing isnt that big a deal to be honest and anything that is making you have a sowp in progress means that you have a spouse in Canada therefore you are qualified for this. please dont waste your time emailing IRCC they love to discourage people. This IRCC race only favours the brave, people that act quick once they see and confirm information from IRCC. please apply for your visit visa use the exact documents you used for SOWP except more recent bank details and also an updated letter of intent. please do the excemption thing afterwards to draw their attention to your application quicker.
SOWP is saying 58 weeks so please attain your visit visa and go and flagpole the SOWP in Canada! goodluck and God will make it easy for you in Jesus name

Lastly, as regards the new development for Visit visa(decision takes btw 14 and 30days), I went through it and observed
1. I need to be fully vaccinated
2. I need to write and confirm from IRCC if I am qualified

Since this is faster, I want to give it a try. Besides 1&2 what other things are required of me?

Pls help a brother so I can have a good knowledge of it or stick to my SOWP.

whats funny is that the open work permits they are attending to always have an attached application to it. i really have not seen any stand alone PPR yet. and that processing time when i saw it i realised just how rude IRCC is �. i done tiya

But I think this is applicable to mostly closed work permit since they are already responding to Open work permit

They've visited before for my graduation in 2019 but visa expired early this year.

No application for authorization to visit before approval.

dont use British airways and dont transit through USA unless you have a Us VISA. carry proof of relationship to student.

you can fill the form but it holds no consequences for those types of application, it can however make them pick up your file. but a SOWP that is applied along side a study permit application tends to get faster completion than a single SOWP. gcms notes also make them pick up files, so maybe order one and send webforms as well.

no ooo i said 26k total! lol if it was that much indians and nigerians wont be plenty in Canada. according to IRCC it is 10k CAD plus 4k plus a significant other and then 3k per child. thats how the figure came about, all this is excluding flight, miscellaneous and school tuition

I am not seeing any bolded text. however 4 kids and a wife if its visitor you are asking yes you can. if its SOWP and and visitor record/study permit for kids you also can but you will have to prove financials of 10k +4k+3k per child thats 26k CAD atleast to prove that will fly. but it is very doable if money is there.

spousal open work permit or any work permit applied to Canada from Nigeria takes 29 weeks according to IRCC and can take even more time. visitor visa re-uniting a direct family member that is either a permanent resident or temporary resident (student/worker) decision takes between 14-30 business days.
if you had a visitor visa application before september 7th you will have to reapply and raise a webform.

spousal open work permit is a temporary class resident application and visitor visa is thesame i very much doubt that counts as dual intent if you have both of them running at thesame time. this is my personal opinion i am not a VO, but an application that takes maximum 30 days as opposed to an application that can take up to 8 months or more it is pretty obvious which one is more reasonable.

in canada a sowp can be applied for on arrival or when settled in canada.

the gist of the matter is that if you applied before 7th of september re-apply. if it was after 7th of september and you qualify for this new program (re-uniting with family members in canada) fill the exemption webform and attach all supporting pdf. they will consider it and then prioritise that application that was filed after 7th of september within 14-30 business days

i have used maroc once albeit europe to nigeria, the airport is fair but the flight itself was not the best experience if i am being honest. the stopover wasnt terrible and as usual the airport was better than our airport so its fine. but if europe to naijas flight was terrible i can only imagine how bad the experience to the north americas will be. but its relatively cheap and las las it will get you to your destination while saving money for other things.

So my question was whether there is anyone trying to use them in the coming weeks/months and for them to share any tips on the experience. I am not sure what the quality of travel experience is with them so am crowdsourcing information. Saving 500k on tickets between Lufthansa and Maroc, no be small thing. But at times, you can't just quantify some things in Naira & Kobo.
