My BVL is 3weeks today, my school is resuming January 10, have been chilling out about the whole thing bhett is like kpe my heart can’t take it anymore though have not started sending mails to them all this while thinking probably they are still attending to September applicants or people who defer from September to January just before receiving their PPR


Any suggestion, should I start sending mails or wait till next month.

there is a place you can get it on the ircc website for 5 CAD if you are in Canada and if not you can go to websites like getgcms and a host of others thats on this thread, that can cost you between 15-25 CAD

i agree, letting your spouse going there increases the assistance that the Mps will give to your application. i know we are around the same time applicants. and i also got a feedback that they are actively reviewing my application. I asked my wife to assist me reaching out to an MP, they asked for post code and number before assisting. that goes to show they trim down the amount of people they will need to help as it may not necessarily be in their jurisdiction, i have pasted the reply she gave for your perusal. i know we are thesame month so i think you should follow this route as they can expedite it aas we have exceeded the wait time.

I tired for IRCC oo. I complained to the Nairobi office that my application has passed the processing time. They replied that they would review my documents in few weeks no update for a month. I have written to them again no update. My infant’s TRV has passed processing time, I sent an email to all the MP’s in London Ontario, I was told that they still have a backlogs since September 2020 and my child needs to reapply for a TRV and it takes 14-30 business days. I just have to tell SP to travel to Canada rather than stay behind to nurse our 3 month old child while taking online classes. When she gets her study permit, SIN and bank account. She will reapply TRV for our child. Is it possible to also file a TRV application for myself while my SOWP is still under processing. ?

i think there is hope of getting that PPR raise a webform and attach the screenshot of that NOVEMBER 1st deadline, reach out to an MP in your schools area and pressure them there, send an email that is like the webform you raised to Nairobi or whichever office is processing your application. if you get a PPR 22nd and you send the passports to Abuja you can still make deadline. give yourself a realistic cut-off date before giving up please. the second issue, your kids are american and as far as their vaccinated travel to Canada with them along with relevant documents spouse declaration as well as birth certificates at the border justice can be done for anyother application.

Good day house, I'm in a dilemma and need some information on how to proceed from people who had similar experiences or knows how these things work. My wife applied for studies last year and was refused, we deferred the admission to Sept this year and put in our application in June 2021. Two weeks ago, we got request for medicals which was done last week. The problem now is the school has commenced classes since September 7th, 2021 and we have till November 1st to defer but we are hoping the visa processing should be concluded before that date. Otherwise, we'll have to defer and choose a different course for May intake as her current course is only taken in Fall. Firstly, our concern is if the visa isnt out before the deadline for deferring in the school and we change courses, are we meant to inform the embassy of this change in course and commencement date? If we dont and we get the visa before may next year, at the point of entry, wouldnt we have a challenge with the border officer on why the embassy wasnt informed of these changes we made prior to the visa issuance?
Secondly, we have 2 kids (American citizens) not currently in their mums application, whats the process we need to engage to enable them travel with their mum when her visa is issued?

TLS i presume, those guys are very funny. there was a time i paid for super priority and they didnt tell me that they had my passport for an extra week and still didnt tell me till the end. i simply walked into their stupid building and acted like i had an appointment and went to that their stupid front desk upstairs and told them my name, i acted like i had been alerted that my passport had already arrived and lo and behold they handed over my passport to me. this was in 2019 i think, moral of the story is sometimes email no dey work take the battle to their doormouth. when you go there dont act like a JJC be quick and dont over shalaye, if they still dont have it, then verbally stress them and explain your situation.

I am in a dilemma. I got my PPR on 22nd Sept, but my passport has been at the UK embassy since 7th Sept. Today makes it 6 weeks & 1 day that it's been with them (3 weeks over). I have written several times to UK to expedite my request - all to no avail. Similarly, I have filled the IRCC web form, sent multiple emails 3x daily requesting for an extension of the 30-day deadline - all to no avail.

My question now is:
Have you experienced or heard of anyone who missed the 30-day deadline and got refused?
Has IRCC ever granted an extension?
If the passport gets to DHL on the 29th or 30th day, will it count as "within the period?"

I will be grateful to get your thoughts on these please. I plan to cancel my UK application and request for my passport back tonight.

Medical updated to pass: June 15th (I uploaded the document I was given that very day via webform and sent as email as well)
1 ghost update June 15th ( I believe this was when my Medical was being updated)

I used an agent not because I was a novice but I was very busy at the time. I provided all he needed. He wrote my SOP, 5pages but I proofread took out and added.

amen oo they should answer us, its getting unrealistic. 26 weeks done dey pass and a lot of peoples 26 weeks has passed. so they will soon tell us how they came about that processing time projection.

nawa oo, when was the last time a ppr for work permit was celebrated on this thread? IRCC is really leaving us hanging.

visiting visa takes a while to get without it being attached to an exemption authorisation. to be fair you dont necessarily have to leave them behind if you plan well. if you choose the NSE route and your uni does online you can either get your study visa a while before your resumption time and wait and escalate your families application for SOWP\ visit visa. visit visa processing time in Nigeria is presently 293 days as opposed to work permit 26 weeks which is shorter but pending that time Immigration in Canada could have calmed down and things can always get easier. but without a doubt it is easier to get a work permit at the border as opposed to applying from Nigeria. it is almost a right as a legitimate spouse to get it at poe, the wahala is to get to the poe in the first place. so if possible closer to your study permit application monitor the trends and circle back on the best option as at that time because policies are changing and keeping track is key.

hmm if it shows the email of the recruiter and it is synonymous with the schools email address i think you can show them the actual correspondence on your phone for that. have you completed any assignments? or any tasks that reflects on your student portal?

ahhh that particular woman doesnt send anybody, i got into contact with ones personal assistant but they are not exactly very forthcoming. they use any excuse they can muster. if its not covid its afghanistan and when that is not in use anymore its election next. but on the bright side the processing time has reduced from 33 weeks to 26 weeks so we are almost at the finish line. yes i even did the webform and the authorisation thing. we will get there oo, but the patience being used is getting worn out lol

just to add a bit of critique so you can counter it in your application when the time comes, you said your husbands job is freelance so i am not sure that will sit well with a VO as proof that you will actually return. is there a possibility you apply first then get the study permit using your child and husband as home ties and then apply for your family afterwards and then use that same freelance work as a means to solidify your husbands application for his own swop? because it will be a tall order that your family is very mobile despite the properties if you apply with yout husband and your kid. it may come across to them as you not being a genuine student seeing as you are carrying a career mobile husband as well as a young toddler that may distract the academics. (this is all positive critique that you should attempt to alleviate from the VOs mind) btw your child needs a visa and your husband a swop. or you could simply get them both a visitor visa and at the point of entry change to whatever is required of them.

After reading about 10 pages( I know people who have read the whole thread, kudos) I think it's best for me to share my plan with you guys and please, don't Waka pass, help me review. Please.
I am married with a child that would be 18months next year September,which I plan to resume school.
My husband is a freelancer, which means he can work from home from anywhere in the world.
Hubby has one hectare of land, two plot of land, another two houses, one completed and the second not yet completed. He can proof this properties, our name is on then. Although he do not have CofO. He has red copy, survey plan and receipt for all of them. We may get 2 CofO before then because we are already processing them.
Also, by the time I would be submitting my study permit application (by God's grace) let's assume April, hubby should have around 10k USD in his dorm account. By then I would have deposited for accommodation and pay my first semester (if I am correct) fees.
His parents are old which could also be a social tie I guess.
Our plan is for him to be my sponsor but we will be going together with our little boy.

1) what's our chance of getting my study permit
2) will he get work permit in connection to my application or how do we get Visa for him
3)does my child need to apply for any visa too, or he only need his passport

Gurus, please help me out so I won't make mistakes.

from my wifes experience they were adamant about that enrolment letter at the airport and asked at the border as well. if you have completed a semester or have results or anything that proves that you are actively a student print and take to the airport. its not your fault there is nothing you can do about it. the correspondence that says you cannot have enrolment letter until arrival should be used at the airport as well. worst case you will be made to stand on the side for a while while they clarify. it shall end in praise for you and your loved ones.

my honest opinion, your finances are definitely in order, but please do not leave space for loseguard oo. your SOP must tie all this together, you must allow them to believe your sponsor is really going to spare no expense to educate you and why. sometimes its not just okay to flash the cash to these VOs properly document why this sponsor is motivated to sponsor you with evidence. an example is the fact they already provided u with 4m among other things. it shall end in praise

My sponsor would be providing proof of investment of 100k USD in stanbic IBTC. As well as bank staement. He has also provided additional naira of 4m to me. I have paid First semester tuition of 8950CAD already as required by the school. I also have 10k USD worth of mutual funds personally

I submitted my application on 16th of April, 2021 and did biometrics on 20th April, 2021.

Have you done your medicals? If yes, did you do upfront medicals or you were requested by IRCC?

that will be depressing as swop has lacked a lot of timeline precedence that has been set. for example may ending applications are being treated for study permits but swop its not really following any chronological order. and early april yet to be replied would have been way too far to comprehend

hi, my humble opinion. SWOP is taking a lot of time now so the sooner you submit the application the better, however waiting till december may not be the best idea. how about you apply ASAP, leave in a month so you can get the study permit and SIN, gather a semesters worth of result and arrange accommodation and other important things down and upload all of them via webform as additional documents to prove you are a genuine student. everybody on this timeline has been waiting quite a while for SWOP, personally i have been waiting since May and there are ppl still a bit worse. may it all end in praise for all of us.

Following yesterday's update, we received medical request at 5:00am (Canadian time) this morning for our son who applied for visitor visa, along with the family (SOWP for wife and Study permit for older siblings). Any tips/plugs/slots on how to achieve this quickly? NB: his visa type was due to his age (under 2 years) while the others passed their own medicals same week as the application was submitted back in May.

After a successful visa application and 2 refusals for request for written authorization, 2nd being a day to hubby's flight, my husband finally made it in on the 2nd September, on his SOWP. Call to IRCC Canada about enquiries for written authorization (WA) told me that he needs it, a subsequent email followed up after the call. Enquiry email to all IRCC offices: Nairobi office corroborated what IRCC said, that SOWP holder needs a WA. What saved the day was a response from the London Office 7 hours to his flight that a SOWP holder does not require a WA or any other supporting documents from IRCC to come into Canada. See confusion from different branches of the same office!. Hubby immediately rushed to do covid test at 4pm (flight was 10pm)! Flashed the letter in their faces and was allowed to board. POE Canada was a breeze and no mention was made about the previous refusals. Just happy to all be reunited again after 9 months. All the best to those still waiting. God will come through speedily for you as well IJN

Not yet either. My wife sent an email to Nairobi got a "non-template" reply within 12-hours. It says they have not finalized it, they can't when but they are doing every possible to finalize it soonest. Once my wife gets her 2nd dose of the vaccine, we will send a request for exemption to travel. Hoping and praying for the best.

hi guys, does anyone know where sowp are being processed, i know study permits are being processed in Nairobi and beijing but nobody seems to be talking about work permits for canada. plus has anyone recently got their PPR for sowp? please reply with timeline so we can all be encouraged as the wait is becoming too long. thanks
