IslamRe: Sufism In Islam. Share Your Opinions With Us. by samba123(m): 4:14pm On Jan 10, 2009
The one that is not extreme is the genuine and authentic Sufism, which is undoubtedly in perfect agreement with the Book, the Sunnah, and the practices of Salaf As-Salih (early righteous Muslims). Tasawwuf of Sufi masters such as Junyad Al-Baghdadi, Abu Sulayman Al-Darani, etc. belong to this category of authentic and genuine Tasawwuf.
In this definition along what kind of Sufism they belong if this will take into consideration? Can somebody explain this group who categorically belong as the authentic Sufism I need some information if there is any group whos followed the above definition.

-------------------------------
, “Authentic Tasawwuf is at once a cognitive and practical discipline of souls, curing of diseases of hearts, implanting of virtues, and purging souls off their vices and carnal desires, and training in patience, contentment and obedience to Allah; it is struggle against the carnal soul, and combating its base inclinations and meticulous scrutiny of actions and non-actions, and guarding souls against the invasions and influx of heedlessness and vain thoughts, and severing off all hindrances and obstacles that hinder and hamper one’s journey to Allah; it is asceticism in everything that distracts a person from celebrating remembrance of Allah and make one’s hearts focused on it.

This is True…but most of our brothers and sisters do not know how to cure our hearts.

The only way to trap such a guy is to tell him to marry next month then you would give him all he wants afterwards. Believe me, an unsincere guy will run.
I Agree on that brother Frizy, you hit the right approach … if Mariaba want to know if this Guy are truly heartfelt/genuine to our sister then she will test him in that way to express to marry her. cheesy

Why are American muslims not complaining then because the church should be separated from the state according to the constitution but both the govt and labor unions observe it as a holiday?.
The government has the right to declare holiday any time not only those you mention but also other important days to pay tribute and respect for the good of the people as well.
Everybody are entitle for that holiday event …declared by government to have a enjoyable time to relax and celebrate on your part because of what you believe on it, but not to other religion who’s belief are bound by their own festivities also.

Will you honor my invitation to come and eat turkey if I invite you or is it against the laws of Allah?
Inviting people of different faith to come in your house to celebrate is a good thing to get in touch one another. If you leading a prayer on top of the table with a turkey dishes people will not bother because its your tradition to have a festivity to celebrate. I will not ignore your invitation for the sake of friendship to get closer, but don’t put potion on that dishes ha… cheesy coz your “boo” will wreck my neck, grin ; kiss

Mariaba

I refuse to go into a sexual relationship and I told him at first he accepted the later he started pressurizing me by saying he can’t cope since he has had sex before it’s difficult for him to abstain after about 8months relationship with me.
This Guy is not fitted to you for true relationships that are you dreaming for, he is just looking for pleasurable girl who will fall on his own trap to have sex. And that is not you to fall for his lustful appetite to go with him. If you are truly having a strong faith in Allah avoiding such things which is unlawful for your own goodness is the best thing to do. Why not concentrate to your study, instead of falling in love into a puppy relationship, which might distract your career in the future. If you like to be successful in life and marriage you should concentrate to your schoolwork first. After finishing your college more good people/guys are just looking for women who are successful in their life, with a good moral character and value you have possess, I think you can get the right man in your life for a long-time relationships.

Sharap my friend. when did muslims become authorities on aramaic?
Did I mention any Muslims authorities on using Aramaic word? No, I did not mentioning about authorities/establish Aramaic word to be use by the Muslims, but why not trying to search that people speaking Aramaic are still exist now a days some/few of them can be found in Iran or Syria which is a Muslim Country.

You can't even give a correct interpretation of the quran
Lol if I can’t interpret the Quran as a whole its doesn’t matter me at all because I can read it that is simple. There are many transliteration of the Quran are available now a day, why not just take a look and read it to grab some difficulty in meaning. And aside from that there are also a lot of dictionary in English – Arabic translation that can be a helpful material to be use in searching for the meaning.
Is this thing difficult to you? grin tongue

u are busy deciphering aramaic letters.
I’m not asking others thing here just give me the five letter of the word –J-e-s-u-s in Aramaic word>>>The ‘J’ which one is the first letter in Aramaic word constitute the same title for that letter J’ jay.

DeepZone:
Please shut up. "i" could be written as J in aramaic but what about others?. What about Joseph the father of jesus? is he also isoeui?. Your explanation is stupid because it's like comparing apple and oranges. Aramaic has different letters from arabic letters.
DeepZone… I told you that the letter J ‘jay’ can not be found in Aramaic alphabet still you’re lacking evidence to put something here, just show us the five letter of the Aramaic word of J-e-s-u-s name by using those 22 letters of Aramaic script, You should provide evidence among those letter that I mention to you which is the letter J’ ‘jay’ to point where is that in the Aramaic Alphabet. And try to give us here constructive example to come out the five words of J-e-s-u-s name. this can clear us our ideological perception knowing that name of J-e-s-u-s is really an Aramaic word which can be constructed/figure out among those letter in Aramaic alphabet.

Do you think is difficult to pick up those five letters in Aramaic alphabet ? I will not asking you others name only the five letters –J-E-S-U-S that is enough evidence you need to probe us here.

DeepZone:
Because y'all misquote our holy book and refer to Jesus as Isa.
DeepZone…my dear… the Jesus you’re calling is not an Aramaic language that this name exist you might misinterpret how you call this name. try to see those alphabet of the Aramaic if you can find the Letter ‘J’ ‘jay’ within among those written letter in Aramaic and figure it out how come that this name Jesus are you calling are not found in Aramaic word. Aramaic is the sister language of Arabic…a little variant in pronunciation you can hear about that as you voice out the name of Isa(Jesus) in Arabic and Isou in Aramaic sound familiarity when you hear about it.

Yes we quote some words in your bible, to give piece of information in some instances where people like to misquote of it by interpreting the wrong meaning. This thing can clear us the argument by presenting such constructive word from your holy book.

Nimshi:
What do you wish to be clear about? If you're specific, that could offer one the opportunity to choose to respond to you or not; as things stand, the ambiguity makes it impossible to respond to you.

It'll be difficult for me to endorse all of a writer's opinion; it will also be difficult for me to disagree with all of a writer's opinion; things aren't ever always as simple as that. I believe I understand what Rushdie attempted to do in SV; the approach is not inconsistent with much else he's written. But to be clear (since I'm being copiously quoted about it), my statement "no where have I endorsed Rushdie's views" does not necessarily imply that I wouldn't endorse any, many or much of Rushdie's views; quite the contrary as my openinig words in this paragraph show. But ifwe do get specific, then one's position may be clear, for whatever it's worth.
.
Even you’re not endorsing any books of Salman Rushdie to the public its doesn’t mean your intention is there actually, but it’s hard to ponder when you uphold those view of your own in this issues along we can see how you stand for it.
IslamRe: Death Penalty For Muslim Apostates? by samba123(m): 1:19pm On Nov 01, 2008
Nimshi:
Samba: I think Rushdie is an exceptional writer; this is simple enough. There's no doubt that were it not for SV and the controversy surrounding it, Rushdie would have won the Nobel Prize for Literature. He's also a dangerously playful genius. Of course, I cannot claim to endorse all his views, and because he is irreligious (at least at this time), you should expect that he'll claim some liberties that may be sacriligious/blasphemous to many. Nothing he has written, nor anything he may further write, will warrant an execution. I hope that clears the part about endorsing Rushdie.

Bhola is correct that your request isn't clear. And even if clarity is assumed, you're asking that I post a paragraph or sentence from SV that makes it palatable; there're many such, and I don't think doing that will do anything to move the discussion forward. I asked if you wanted to read SV; the reason is simple: if you do want to read it, you could obtain a copy; yet, I'm not encouraging you to do that; it must be your choice, in accordance with your faith and disposition. I have an electronic copy of SV, but do I distribute it? No, I do not, and I have not. And, many Muslims have read SV, that's not necessarily because it is palatable; you read books for many reasons. For me, the reading to read SV is because it is controversial; that is enough. I will also be reading The Jewel of Medina (in fact, I have committed to post the prologue on the appropriate thread). When I read, then I can contribute and perhaps decide on where to stand. In short: it is a difficult task to comment on a book you haven't read.

I hope you're able to find the answer to your question about why anyone would read Rushdie's book above; and I hope it makes some sense to you.

P.S.: The list in post #105 does not include two of Rushdie's most recent books:

Shalimar The Clown, 2005
The Enchantress of Florence, 2008
Nimshi

With the aim of defending Salman Rushdie books, I have no reason to be doubtful your disposition about this issues anymore it clear to me now where you stand for that matter.

I accept you criticism I’m here to learn from people who are intelligently giving a good reasonable thought like Olabowale and Babs. I’m talking about the SV Book of Salman Rusdhie here, what else you like to expect? Its very clear to us you can not even give some Quoted paragraph to backup your allegation in defending Salman Rusdhie SV. A simple question I have been asking you to obtain a presentable quote of SV, but still you avoid giving us. What if there are 300 pages? Don’t tell me you can’t give some of the important part in the book, were you think it right for the people to grab on the issues here.

If you think that book is palatable to you, too us is has no value even how beautiful you think the content paragraph is all about. Nothing compare to the Qur’an when I read it, its give me satisfaction and contentment. What else you like to introduce/endorse other things if you can’t get credit about what you read? Yes, I know knowledge/wisdom/ people like you live by rational thinking…mind is limited oh.

Let the defender of the Book SV fail in Hand of Nimshi endorment…not for us no!!! I see how reasonably you put those things into discussion of nonsensical ideas to defend yourself of Rushdie Book. And trying us to take a look/copy to read it, is that not endorsement to the public eyes? Oh common I myself are not interested to that Book you endorse to have a copy. If the statements are derogatory in my belief, why should I read it? What benefit me of reading the book of S. Rushdie? Enlighten me oh!!!
IslamRe: Death Penalty For Muslim Apostates? by samba123(m): 5:43pm On Oct 29, 2008
Nimshi:
First, I don't think the copyright on the book has expired.

Second, I don't think it'll be possible to post all of the book were the above not to be the case.

Do you want to read SV? Have you read any other of Rushdie's works?
.
Then what is your purpose to depend the book of S. Rusdie if you can’t provide a single page to support your allegation. We need fact about the content, how could you favour that book without presenting to the public any substance?

Now I’m asking you to put some perspective point were we can have a view of the alleges book of Salman Rusdhie. Still you are hiding defensively without any proven fact to show us here. Much more of your hyperactive allegation it doesn’t help, sitting any content/source which might become harmful to the public is dangerous it put you on jeopardy. Are you accompanying with Salman Rusdhie Book to endorse publicly and support him in every occasion? I’m thinking you are just one of the devotee/admirer to this masterpiece book of SV.

3) People who have been observant (like yourself, at least here), will note that I have not declared to be Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, or other; you know that; so why are you bothered by David's assertion to the contrary? You can't tell David I'm not a Muslim (and I don't think you would or should), but you could point it out to him that I haven't declared myself on this board to be a Muslim; I may not conform to anyone's preconceived notions, but either way, I am not robbed of whom I am
.

How this will affect in your life if you declare to everybody in this forum you faith?. If non of those mentioned faith are not attach to you then you are more allege an atheism and just using such rational things to conform your identity.

Then back to the subject again “Who is a True Muslim”  why “evade” your identity  grin
