[1] it seems to me that you are gambling with god rather than finding genuine reasons for believing in is existence, wouldnt your all knowing jesus be mad that you gamble on him. Religion especially christainity and islam are mere mythical ideologies that are relevant in poor and developing countries like Nigeria, there is something to lose when you spend your one existence serving a god that does not exist, following stone age superstition rather than enjoy the benefit of living in the modern age of science and technology, look at how miserable Nigerians are because of religion,it is a big waste of life.
[2]believing in god cost you everything, you spend your life listening and practicing illogical rubbish.you pay 10% of your money, you reject science and logical thinking, you hate people of other religion you discriminate base on religion, you hate gays for no logical reason etc

I never mentioned a particular religion throughout my entire write-up.

You believe there's devil right?
Why do people believe more that there's devil than God?

why this? why that? All you hear is the devil!

To you everything happens by nature, believing that there's devil, is it my nature too?

@ the bolded Does America fall into this category? Average Americans wake up in morning and after yawning, you hear God bless America, isn't that a sign of believing there's God?

Bro, believe in the existence of God, there's a supreme being

Oh come on.. This has been asked so many times already.. Which of the God's do we believe in then, given that there are over 4000 Gods considered as "Supreme Beings"? What if at the end, you find out that Allah is the true God and u've believed in the wrong one all along?

Yes, there are so many gods, there are even people who call themselves gods.

Let me help you out!

*Believe that a Supreme being created you.

*Believe in that Supreme being you don't have to fight for when he is criticised, lambasted or blasphemed.

*Believe in that Supreme being you can not see, yes, that's why he's God!

By and large the true supreme being will reveal himself to you

In today's world at large, we have so much practice of atheism. I wouldn't know if the number of atheists increases or decreases...

Atheism has been there for so long, even before Christ. Atheism didn't just start this century or the one before.

The first known atheist is Diagoras of Melos (5th century BC): Ancient Greek poet and sophist known as the Atheist of Milos, who declared that there were no Gods.

--------------------------------------------------------
The reasons are as follow:

1. You have nothing to lose
If everybody does not believe there's a supreme being, I'm sure no one can dispute the fact that death is inevitable, everyone would die!

We are sojourners on earth whether you like it or you don't, you will die, I will die someday.
Come to think of it, if I believe that there's God and at the end of our pilgrim journey of earth, it dawned on me that there's no God, will I be purnished for believing in God while on earth? Outright No. I have nothing to lose at the end.

But, if at the end there's a supreme being and you didn't believe on him while on earth, you've gotten to the point of no return, you will lose your body, soul and spirit. That supreme being you found difficult to believe on earth would purnish you which means you're doomed for ever...
-------------------------------------------------------

2.) It's a simple task
Just believe! Only believe! It doesn't cost you your life, money, cars, house, fortune name it!
Just believe there's God doesn't change you from being a human being to an animal.

Why do you find it difficult to just believe since it does not cost you material things. What a simple and easy task! Just believe there's a supreme being also known as God!

Shalom

NYSC / My First Experience Outside Orientation Camp by Samfigo1(m): 6:20pm On Jun 17, 2017
My experience so far outside orientation camp

My first experience so far was when I first dashed my feet on Northern soil.
I boarded a luxurious bus from Ibadan to Kano(My longest journey so far), we had few stopovers but the notable stopover was in Kaduna because few people alighted.

I used the opportunity to pee, when coming back to where the bus was, an aboki man was approaching me with power banks, I tot within myself that I would need a power bank, so I beckoned on him.

Me: Aboki inakuana... (we got there in the morning)
Aboki: Inakuana...
Me: (I picked one of the power banks) How much?
Aboki: 5k

Me: What? (I smiled... Aboki man wants to cheat me he has no idea where I come from, me, Ibadan boy
Me: 3k
Aboki: No... E pass that

Me: Hmmn... They say Abokis are straight forward, hope this man won't be offended with the way I'm hanging on the price.... I murmured

After some time, he agreed...

Me: Aboki, 2k

This man go kill me today o

Aboki: Kai! If you no wan buy comot!

I turned and decided to go, he held me and said customer bring money.

I brought out the money and collected the power bank...
Apple logo on it, 5000mAh...

Finally, I have a power bank I said....

Up till today, I don't know if it was power bank or bank power I bought or bank power....

Aboki do me wayoo...

Now, I'm a graduate, but with a CGPA of 3.98 do I still stand a chance to study abroad for my 2nd degree?

Thanks in anticipation!

Broiler finisher: ranges btw N2700- N2900
Good day, Please I want to ask you a question as regards my poultry farm and I will be happy if you reply as soon as possible.

My poultry farm comprises layers though on a small scale will clock the 16th week in few days time which is the point of lay. What I have discovered is that the birds are not showing signs of readiness to start laying eggs, what I mean is that their vulva is not yet red which is one signs of laying eggs.
Can it be the formula of the feed?
Can I get a formula from you? Thanks in anticipation!
Religion / Re: Is It Right For A Christian To Eat The Moslem Ram During This Celebration? by Samfigo1(m): 1:13pm On Sep 12, 2016
4everGod:

They (Muslims) kill Rams because they follow an aspect of Abrahamic life which is symbolic with the time God instructed Abraham to replace His son Isaac with the Ram for an offering but in their case they replaced Isaac with Ishmael Abrahams son from Sarahs maid.

Christians are no longer doing this since Christ became the Lamb of God and the only eternally acceptable sacrifice to God. We, however are not to condemn their actions but to show them Love as it is through our acts of Love toward them that they can listen to our message of Jesus and yield.

The eating of the meat when it is offered is to be done by us out of Love if we are matured enough to remove superstition, hatred, bitterness and self righteousness from the equation but when one is still a growing believer and still subject to emotions then by all means do not partake.

Eating or not eating does not make us draw closer to God but the motive behind our eating or not eating can either make us draw closer or move away from Him.
Bro. this is not the only way to show love, this issue is not about taking food or meat from Muslims but "Ileya" meat. I have a lot of Muslims as friends I eat and dine with them but when it comes to eating "ileya" it's a no go area.!
Mind you Abraham was also told to sacrifice Isaac, why following the trend Jesus has eradicated? Shalom!
Religion / Re: Is It Right For A Christian To Eat The Moslem Ram During This Celebration? by Samfigo1(m): 10:46am On Sep 12, 2016
4everGod:

There is no confusion there....its simply a difference in spiritual maturity. I am spiritually mature and have been eating it and preaching to them at the same time especially since my Bible tells me to eat it freely and enjoy it too.

The other person may just not be a mature believer yet so do not call it confusion....afterall a baby must crawl before it can run and jump but both the one crawling and the one jumping are still both people.
Hmmn... I love your earlier write up, but come to think of it, why do they kill rams? For sacrifice, for remission of sins. why did Jesus come to this world? for remission of sins right?
Then why do I need killing or eating of ram for remission of sins? Jesus has taken away my sins!
I will be glad if you respond to this! Thanks!

Culture / Wraith Is Real! My Story.... by Samfigo1(m): 5:07pm On Apr 16, 2016
I have heard so many stories about wraith popularly called Akudaaya in Yoruba but didn't really believe the stories until I encountered one! Many have dismissed such stories as fictions, hallucinations or fabrications but I am emphatically telling you that wraith is real! Let me tell you the meaning of wraith for those that don't have dictionary as at the time of reading.
Wraith is a ghost or  specter, especially seen just after a person's death.
My Story!
I had a friend Soji by name(not his real name), we were good friends, we attended the same church but not the same district , most of the time we did meet whenever we had retreat or a combined service at the headquarters. I remember when we were preparing for WAEC, we would take along PQ of different subjects to study whenever we had break during retreat . Along the line we started keeping malice not that we had serious fight but it was a kind of beefing, I am bigger than you, I wear better clothes compared to the once you wear that was the mentality,we were not in talking terms for almost a year! It was around November of a particular year, we were preparing for the December retreat of that year, I was trekking by the side of the road in order to cut cost, I was to board a #40 bus but I had #30 so I was trying to walk the distance #10 could cover.
I was heading home facing the upcoming vehicle, lo and behold I saw this friend of mine also trekking towards me though on the other side of the road also facing upcoming vehicle, we were facing each other but on different side of the road!
Waow! are we going to end the malice before this year's retreat? I said to myself, we were moving close to each other, all I noticed was his smile as he saw me and also the trousers he was wearing which was baggy, I couldn't see his leg though I didn't stare much at his legs, he kept on smiling until we passed each other. I looked back just after few seconds and couldn't see him on his part, I looked at the side I was to see whether he had crossed the road, still I could not see him there was no turning on the part he was trekking from because it was the fence of a church that was there.... could he have jumped over the fence? for what? I said to myself! where is Soji? I could not find him! I just waved it and said alright we would meet at the retreat!
It was December retreat! Myself and Soji must put this malice to a halt! first day I could not see, the second day I decided to visit one of our neighbours, when I got there I heard one of the saddest stories of my life! Soji is dead! What! How?! when did he die? they said sometimes in October! I kept mute for few seconds Ehn? October? but I... I was dumbfounded! has Soji died before I saw him? I said to myself, I raised my head and asked who told you? they said his dad! oh! that's from a good source! So Soji actually showed himself to me!! what! so we couldn't settle this before his demise! very painful!
I am telling you that Wraith is real!

Romance / After Two Weeks Of No Intimacy See The Story She Came Up With by Samfigo1(m): 9:44pm On Jan 10, 2016
Hi Nlanderz, I am in a serious dilemma now, I wouldn't know the next step to take.
If you remember I created a topic towards the tail of last year, if you missed the topic this is the link below:

https://www.nairaland.com/2825210/see-question-asked-made-angry#41372122

I shouldn't have brought this up but I am painstakingly seeking the idea to use in coming out of this dilemma of mine.
To be frank, she came back on the 8th day of this month which happened to be Friday, before this time we had some discussions which led to her leaving my place angrily and since then no "intimacy" what do I mean? no calls, no text not even flashing!
I was on Friday sitting at the veranda of my house, fumbling with my phone, when I looked from afar off and saw a lady coming towards the direction of house. When she drew close, lo and behold she was my girl, we exchanged pleasantries before I took her to my room and then she started her story thus:

I am sorry to have left your room angrily the other day( I just nodded my head), the question was shocking I was not expecting it. Truly I had been pregnant which led to the only abortion I had in the past(she busted into tears, I tried to pet her before she continued).I was 17 when armed robbers came to our house on a fateful day and I was raped, I never knew it would lead to pregnancy until after a month plus that I started noticing some changes which led to me seeing a doctor and it was confirmed that I was pregnant. I had no choice that to abort it(sobbing).

I was dumbfounded, I was looking like someone who just missed a flight. The point is this, I have no problem accepting her back but why did she wait for two weeks before narrating this? Was she taught of what to say? Could this be a cooked up story? Can I ask any of her family members about the incident?
These and many more questions left me dumbfounded. Should I go on with the questions or bury the hatchet? I need mature pieces of advice!
