EventsWhich One Is More Delicious Between Local And Foreign(agric) Chicken? by Samfigo1(op):
I ate the two this christmas, OMG! I must confess the local one is more delicious, it's just that the 'agric' is fleshy.
I later assumed it is because the local ones eat natural foods such as earthworm, insects, ants and so on... Is my assumption right? If No what caused it?

Share your experience because it might be useful for someone out there during this festive period... Here is my experience!
Some years ago in ibadan i went to a market at Dugbe/Ogunpa precisely, I had #4000 on me, I wanted to equip my wardrobe. As I was passing by I saw a number of people surrounding a place so I decided to feed my eyes, when I got there, what I saw was a wheelbarrow with some items in in packs which I was informed were there to be won. I didnt have the intention of playing. I looked closely and saw a man displaying three cards, they were spade, diamond and three brothers which means 2black and a red, he would scatter the cards and placed it down(the cards facing down) anyone that picks the red colour has won.
I was not freaked at first, but when I saw people winning and instantly they were given their prizes, it was either you were given an item or given cash.
I was tempted to play, I put #1000 at first, lo and behold I lost(I was worried because I saw him when he placed down the colour), I never knew they were using JuJu, I spent all the #4000 on it, I even dropped my phone thinking I would recover some amount it was when I left that I knew it was not ordinary. If I had a gun I would have killed everyone of them, It was later I knew those that were winning were in their group, I almost fainted! I was unable to sleep for 3days I thought I was dreaming....It was a sad and excruciating experience which I can never forget!

FashionRe: Which Hand Is Right To Wear Wristwatch? by Samfigo1(op): 11:24pm On Dec 19, 2014
charix:
Its worn on the left mostly because that's the lesser used hand. Wearing watches on the right leaves it prone to scratches and breaks as most people use their right hand for everything. Left handed people wear watches on the right hand for this reason.

In Victorian times it was fashionable to wear a watch in either breáśt pocket attached to a chain to avoid it falling off and getting missing.

I guess your parents mocked you because everyone else wears them on the left hand.
Informative! Gud one bro!

FashionWhich Hand Is Right To Wear Wristwatch? by Samfigo1(op): 9:54pm On Dec 19, 2014
Larger percentage of people wear wristwatches on the left hand...I remember when I was younger my parents used to call me bush boy whenever I wear the watch on the right hand but since then I have changed!

Who started the wearing of wrist watch on the left Or how did it start?
Does it mean that anyone that wears it on the right is unfashionable?

EducationIs It True To Have The Heart Placed On The Right Chest? by Samfigo1(op):
Is it true? I learnt in every 10million people on earth, we've at least a person who has his/her heart placed on the right chest....
By mathematical illustrattion:
we have over 7billion people, 7billion / 10million = 700.
So by calculation we have 700people who have their hearts placed on the right chest....

EducationWhich Of Your Secondary School Teachers You Wish You Met And Why? by Samfigo1(op):
Mine is Mr Hassan, he was a casual friend to my dad,... If you help me see this man Please alert me...
Each time I remember Mr Hassan, I wish I met him, I would beat hell out of him... Here is my story:
There was a day I came late to school because there was a heavy traffic, my dad used to drop me at my schoolgate before he could go to his place of work, that day when I got to school he asked why I came late and I narrated the story he took everyone to his office and gave everybody either hoe or cutlass excluding me so I thought within myself that this man had released me, I waited for sometime, I watched as other students were cutting after some mins I decided to leave the place, I didnt spend up to 1hr a student came for me while our English teacher was in the class, so I left, when I got to Mr Hassan, He beat me as if I had stolen goats from the market... That day I wept like a baby and I was destabilized throughout that day... each time I remember I feel like crying.... Even now I'm sobbing! MR H-A-S-S-A-N!!!! If I catch you I'll beat 'Mad' out of you I swear!

1.) whenever he wants to say something into ur ear LOOK AT THE OTHER DIRECTION.
2.) If he wants to kiss you, tell him it's a taboo in your family

EducationRe: Some English Words With Nigerian Origin. by Samfigo1(m): 11:34pm On Sep 12, 2014
ZACHIE: This is misinforming.
The etymologies of the specific words you listed up there are not exclusive, rather borderline assumptions.
Okra,Juju,Tango, etc have much wider spread and use than Nigeria.
The only genuine addition to English language in that list is a Yoruba word: DASHIKI which describes a traditional clothing item.
There are indeed several other words absorbed into English emanating from Nigeria but certainly not the ones captured by the op in that they are not exclusive.
SUSU is exclusive in area catchment, meaning and application.
I will update this later.
