Nairaland GeneralRe: Happy Children's Day - Reigniting Our Primary School Memories by samilo88(m): 11:16am On May 27, 2013
I didn't read about Edet, Agbo, Simbi, Mr Sada and the likes. No thanks to my school that decided we used Evans publishers. Thanks should go to Mc millian publishers for integrating nigerian culture into those books that was used in primary schools. Unlike Evans publishers, we were forced to read about british cultures, about the exploits of Mongo Park, David livingstone and the rest of them. I really loved the stories embedded in those of McMillian that I always collect my friends reader back then. Really, growing up was the bomb back then, I really enjoyed my primary school. Springfield nursery and primary school abule egba representing.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Dortmund Vs Bayern Munich - UCL Final (1 - 2) On 25th May 2013 by samilo88(m): 11:48am On May 25, 2013
I used to love Bayern but suddenly hated them since last season. Such sorry losers, couldn't give chelsea fireworks after they lifted the trophy. Now they want to come and lift that same trophy at our home ground (wembley). No way, Dortmund all the way..
EducationRe: IMSU Expels 60 Students Over Poor Grades by samilo88(m): 6:48pm On May 24, 2013
Ola Johnson: In my Alma Mater, OAU, Ile-Ife, students have no option but to sit up or are shown Road One (i.e dismissed). The sight of students reading in the first week of resumption tells an unserious applicant that this place is not for him. Here you read to pass and read to fail.
OAU! I like you guys. Always quick to paint a picture of how serious minded most students in your school are. I'll tell you that 40 percent of students in nigerian universities don't know the reason why they are in school. unseriousness amongst students is common in all nigerian university, so don't try to exonorate OAU.
PoliticsRe: Micheal Adebolajo Father's House Sealed-off By Police by samilo88(m): 3:37pm On May 23, 2013
Islamabad..Even with the luxury life that was at the f0ol's disposal, he chose to be a nuisance. What a shame he brought to his hard working father, bringing his name on the pages of the newspapers for the wrong reason. If I don't have anything to thank God for, that I wasn't born into some senseless religion is a enough reason to always praise God for daily..
Foreign AffairsRe: British Soldier Beheaded In Woolwich, London by samilo88(m): 9:42am On May 23, 2013
funnyx: You have never lived in the UK or the US and have no statistics to prove that one is better than the other but relied on tales from your friends, surely you must have a PhD in mumulogy grin you're daft beyond redemption, go and sort out you life first before you post anything.
Its you who needs to sort yourself out cos from your post so far you look like someone who's mental state is in serious doubt. So if I intend to choose which country to reside I can't rely on info from my friends and family who have had one or two experiences there? From your senseless reasoning, it is fair to say that anyone who wants to settle in a foreign land should go there and spend some time there before finally deciding if it is the right thing to do. You might not agree to your stupidity on this forum, but thank God for conscience, am sure deep within you, you cant deny how stupid you have been thus far.
Foreign AffairsRe: British Soldier Beheaded In Woolwich, London by samilo88(m): 9:15am On May 23, 2013
funnyx: Journalists don't rely on tales from their friends or relatives they do their findings in a professional manner but stupid ones like you draw your conclusion from tales by moonlight.
So where do they get their info from? Isn't it from a third party? Gosh, never knew I was exchanging words with a ret*rded mind ever since. Stupid people like you would swallow every info hook, line and sinker without applying your God given brain just because its coming from someone with a journalist name tag attached to him or her. If you don't know those so called journalist are people like you, always tilting their findings to what they personally feel.
Foreign AffairsRe: British Soldier Beheaded In Woolwich, London by samilo88(m): 8:55am On May 23, 2013
funnyx: If you do not reside in any of these countries you're not qualify to compare what you know nothing about. However, if you want to make f00l of yourself like sweatlemon you can go ahead.
What a silly thing to say. So those foreign journalists who never stepped foot in Africa, but still go ahead to paint pictures of Africa which irrational people like you affirm to be true aren't making a fool of themselves right? That I don't reside in both countries means I can't draw comparison but they (foreign reporters) can? Reason your statement again and it can't be glaring that you succeeded in making a fool of yourself.
Foreign AffairsRe: British Soldier Beheaded In Woolwich, London by samilo88(m): 5:58am On May 23, 2013
50calibre: You haven't got the slightest clue of what you are talking about. How can you compare the US with Britain? Health care is free, education is free (till university level), then the government gives you a loan to study, only to be repayed after you are gainfully employed, housing is free for scroungers who won't work, the top elite universities like Oxford, Cambridge, UCL are within the reach of all who are willing to study, the pound sterling is much stronger than the dollar, The list is endless.

This is an insane comparison
Are you saying that the Britain is a better place to live in than the US, especially for foreigners? Telling ourselves the truth once in a while wouldn't hurt. As a neutral who isn't resident in both countries but has close friends and family in both countries, I can vividly infer that the US is a better place to reside and settle especially for foreigners.

New crescent: Don't you get it. In summary, you and Jolanta cannot put two stick in the fire at once, get to tackle the ROOT-CAUSE and not pallative Brute-force.

Most of us are just too myopic and sentimental. Yoruba said, "Where two elephants fights, the grass suffers". Did you consider that?
Odensi!! If anyone is myopic on NL then it is you. The earlier you stopped dangling from Tinubu's nuts the better for you. Your cynicism would never make you see anything good about the government of the day. Tell your Ogas to win a national election first so we can rate them since they have made shallow minded people like you believe that they alone have the monopoly to provide good governance.

Plz, shey I fit go interview without my discharge cert na? Cos a friend of mine in First Bank said all dey need mostly is birth cert and original WAEC and Uni Cert. How true is dat, cos I firmly believe so

Pls someone shd ansa. Tnx
Am in ur shoes too. I was suppose to have my interview in owerri on monday but I couldn't cos am still serving and would b passing out in June. The head of the Human resource told me my interview would be rescheduled. He gave me his number that I should call him as soon as I get my discharge cert so that my interview would be rescheduled. If u ar called for interview in Abj b4 u pass out just go to d interview with ur call up letter u might be allowed to do d interview or be rescheduled. The koko is dat u don pass app test u must surely be interviewed. I just can't wait for 6th of june again this is d second interview am been told to wait till I get my discharge..

I don't belong to the school of thought of those who brag about the school they went to. Being great is independent of where you schooled. If you must know, I am an engineering graduate of one of the top 3 schools in this country, figure that out. So before you make noise about your sch make you know say me I no go moi moi sch..

brut: @francessn,gatecrashing is allowed just go with all ur credentials and I'd...wish u all the best
I appreciate your concern, but your info as regards gate crashing is misleading. Diamond bank don't allow gate crashing. I wrote in owerri on 21st of March and gate crashers weren't allowed cause everyone invited were given an examination number. I'll advise u guys to practice ur GMAT, concentrate on Verbal and quantitative(pie chart, word problem, averages and simple ratios), as well as critical reasoning. I'll advise u start with d verbal and critcal reasoning because the quantitative might be time consuming. Wishing you guys all the best..

Guess u didn't take ur time to go run before making such conclusion. Again the population of students is very minimal. So FUTO rocks.[/quote
Hehehehehe maybe u ar right that I didn't go around d sch. Well what makes a man great isn't a function of where he was schooled. Everyone is born great, its just a matter of one discovering his or herself.
