4. Just tap the toggle dns ones to allowed I.e after u tap it ones it will become "toggle dns check: 0.0.0.0 allowed"

Press back and exit...the edge or 3g symbol should appear immediately on ur phone, if u have already set ur access point to blackberry.net. if it doesn't immediately, just toggle airplane mode on and off. And it will appear.

Then u can go ahead and use any trick whatsoever (droidvpn/tweakware) to browse with mtn bis on android.

N/b
U don't need ur phone to be rooted to do this. It works on all android phones.

You guys should understand that vpn isn't a perfect substitute for MTN bis. Am using d vpn and am telling u that it's nothing compared to using only d bis. I no longer download or steam videos cos you are only entitled to 100mb bandwidth from your data. The vpn is just a temporary way for us to continue browsing since these network providers have decided to stop bis from working on android, that's why we need to join the protest thread and demand for fairness. If you are using vpn you will be very limited with what you would be able to do with your phone and that's what the service providers want.

Bros I totally agree with you. Even when data was unlimited on bb, there was nothing much I could do with it. Common to watch YouTube video on bb back then glo go dey tell me story of incuring extra charges. The truth is this network providers are afraid of androids. They know the power and capabilities of an android phone that's why they keep shying away from the obvious. This network providers are known for shortchanging subscribers, but when they see you have devised a means of getting value for your money they'll do everything to block that means. This is not MTN, Airtel, glo, etisalat etc fault.
The networks are still not robust enough to offer larger bandwidth to subscribers.
What happen is that to maintain perculiar efficient blackberry service, RIM allow network providers to channel all data from their devices through their servers. With this, network providers are able to grant voluminous data to blackberry subscribers cos it is not passing through their servers.

Granting non-BB subscribers such data freedom officially through their servers would simply overwhemled network providers' servers and bring internet service to a crawl.

The issue can be solved if google or samsung could provide a specialized server just like that of RIM for BB, then network providers would simply channel all data from Android devices through the access point: google.com and open unlimited downloads for android devices. Simple
For now, manage with DroidVPN or any other till internet cost comes down.

Do you have tun.ko installer? If not download and install it from playstore. Open the tun.ko and check all the highlighted boxes then click install. The tun.ko would connect to the Internet to download the modules for ur fone that means your fone must be connected to an Internet plan. After installing the modules which shouldn't take up to a minute, open your droid vpn, log in with your email nd d password given to you on the droid vpn website. Go to d droid vpn settings, click on connection protocol and select ICMP. click d connect button on d droid vpn. Launch ur browser nd u are hood to go. Note you can't use more than 100mb per day worth of data on droid vpn cos u a free registered account. Hope this helps. This only works for rooted androids.

For now mtn are having issues with their bis on android phones. Maybe you should try latter when its been fixed.

My bro that's the problem with gameloft games. The thing is many of them like real football and asphalt7 require that you have an internet connection when you want to play the game. Try making sure your internet connection is ok when you about to play the game. Although the games don't download files from the internet,they require probably a server connection before playing them.

Why should mtn do this? If they don't want us to use blackberry plan on android, then they should come out with affordable data plan for android. Its a shame that despite the fast growing number of android users, these network don't see the need to give us a special package. Can't believe I am now browsing with this my rubbish bb. Guy believe it or not mtn bis is not 350mb. Forget website or system error whatever. My subscription is due to expire on 30th of this month,presently I have used over 2gb. Am an android user so I have an app that monitors the amount of data I transfer. The data cap is even more than 3gb cos in my last subscription I used over 7gb nothing like unstable network..
