A car with faulty gear and u still drive it around?
By the time you are ready for the gear,the engine would ve kaput, cos u are stressing it using gear 2 and still taking it to n fro work

Bro no vex jare, see ehn If it was left to me alone, na small ish, but becos if the issue, I don't even drive it often, just on Sunday's only to conven family to church.

Same exact issue with my 05 accord.

Transmission won't shift pass 2nd gear, though still managing till am able to get a new one.


Now lately, it goes off just too frequently, sometimes when I put in reverse.

As a matter of fact, whenever I start in the morning to head out, it goes off like 4 times before it normalizes ..


Funny thing though happened yesterday,

I was driving, and the speedometer got to 40, it went off while I was on the main road oo showing the battery sign,

I put it off, tried to restart then no way, it didn't indicate the battery sign in dashboard, and also no light indicated on P as well.


I managed to pull over, left it and went for service.

Came back to it later in the evening, was able to get it to start again.

But then it went off like 3 times again.

So I start, put gear in 2 and fire all the way down to.my compound.


Observation: The driving belt was replaced abt 2 weeks ago but now losed, and its even half way on the power steering roll.

Observation 2 : the Rewire said the alternator doesn't charge as it shd, maybe due to bell

Any idea what the problem could be.

Biko faced with similar ish, gear won't shift past 2nd gear.

Biko did you faced same ish? And moreso I heard tge sensor is selective, how do one know the right one to buy?

Be careful bro.

Tips

1. Don't go for the car inspection alone. Go with 2 or 3 other guys.
2. Ensure the car inspection area is open and lively and not some secluded or closed building or area.
3. Inspect the papers, engine and seller carefully. Ensure it is not a stolen property.
4. Don't pay before before purchasing.

Safety is critical at this time of the year. Several criminals are out there to lure people with cheap deals.

Don't fall victim!

Nice information bro, but pls what then could have gone wrong with mine? It works fine on a good day but if the car is left like 3 days without use by the 4th day it would have gone flat and would need some to help recharge a little.

Simple ish. Check your throttle sensor. It may have been unplugged or broken.

Thanks a lot for Ur advice, it's been fully restored (fixed) I even had to drive it from Anambra to Abuja and back to Anambra for proper testing(test running)

Kindly ask your mechanical to check the throttle sensor.

I had similar issue with my accord 2005, there was a time it starts, but won't throttle nor accelerate, when u change gear nothing works.

It won't go front neither would it move back.

In addition I could feel the engine sounds like it has lost some power, so took it a mech which he later discovered that the throttle sensor plug is broken

He simply applied gum to make it firm and that was all.

I don't know if yours is same issue but then, There's no crime in checking the sensor
