Sierra Leon -------- Case Study

Languages of Sierra Leone -

Although English, as the official
language, is spoken in schools,
government administration and the
media, Krio is spoken as a lingua franca
in virtually all parts of Sierra Leone.
Krio , an English-based creole
language, is the mother tongue of
10.5% of the population but is spoken
by 90% of Sierra Leoneans.

the religion of sierra Leon is ISLAM

Islam is the
largest religion in
Sierra Leone,
with
significant
Christian and
animist
minorities.

According to a 2015 estimate from
the Pew Research Centre, 78.0% of
the population is Muslim, 20.9% is
Christian,
while the rest of the
population is either animist or
follows other religious beliefs.

yet the motto of sierra Leon army is UNITY, FREEDOM, JUSTICE

why can't they write it in Arabichuh

Nigeria Muslims sha,,, they always want to be on top, they only know themselves, cater for themselves, & also they are selfish.....

...Transliteration is: Nasrun minallah.

....Translation is : Victory belongs to God alone..

The English language equivalent word for ALLAH is GOD.
why can't they used the bolded alone,,, why must they write it in Arabic,,,

we even study French more than Arabic. why can't they write it in French

English is our official language why can't they write it in English

Hausa is army language why can't they write it in Hausa,, why must it be in Arabic since Arabic doesn't have anything to do in Nigeria except Muslims

Im sure if it was written in french or Greek, you wont have problem with it. There is no different between you and bigoted bokos angry
It isn't right to be written in French & Greek...

even if it's written in French, so do French have anything to do with Christianityhuh

there are some French speaking country in Africa and their religion is Islam ( major )

Why is latin or greek used in most of our eductation institution's logo? Why do we use church tittles for Govt officials in Nigeria. Like Ministers, Dean, Chancellor, Provost. Why do we wear church gown and not our traditional attire when we graduate from school.

Bro, you are islamaphobic
is Latin and Greek related to any religionhuh

do you see any institution that uses Hebrew as their mottohuh
Politics › Re: Why Is There An Arabic Inscription On The Logo Of The Nigerian Army by Sammy07: 5:14am On May 11, 2017
some people comments hehhuh

There is no reason why it should be written in Arabic,,, since Arabic isn't one kg our languages..

to those who says English word for Allah is God... (agreed But )

Why shouldn't it be written in Hebrew, since it has the English word for God also, why shouldn't it be written in Latin, Greek, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French... they all have English word for God.....

stop being an hypocrite, the words are supposed to be written in English..

now even the official language of the army is Hausa... lemme talk about this to

the official language shouldn't be Hausa, it should be English since most people understand English... but maybe Hausa is easy to hear that's why they make it official language....

even if Yoruba present a candidate, If Hausa support the Yoruba then it doesn't matter if you support or not..

or do you think you have a Say in Nigeria politics.... Stop dreaming moreover you people don't know how to play politics...

it's the support that the north gave to the SW that's why the SW gave back the support to them....

If the North and SW combines and say you won't be voted for president till 2050,,, guys just accept so as to not waste your money

Do to others what you want them to do to you

lemme Tell you the truth,,,

if you don't support some tribes, you won't also get support too....

you aren't even unity to support each other not to talk of the support of other tribes...

or you think to win the presidency, you think you can do it alonehuh....

Remove your hate against other tribes then you'll get support,
even the ticket will either SS/SW or SE / SW or North / SW...

Im sure of 2 things.
1. You probably have not been to Ibadan before or
2. You are just being mischievous
And as for those brown roofs, it showed early civilisation in that part of Nigeria. In other words what I mean is that when those houses were built its either your state was not in existence or your the state was so backward that they were still using tatch roof.
Face it if your comunity does not have such roof, your state did not recieve civilisation early.
These are just facts. I dont live in Ibadan but when I was there I was like wow. It wont be a bad idea to do a quick weekend there fro Lagos busy life

best comment ever

the truth is they didn't received civilization early, so the time they received it the world have been civilized, so they didn't used the roof they used the modern one

IITA was established in 1967 in Ibadan,
the idea of the institute came from
Ford and Rockefeller foundations desire
to establish a centre for the
improvement in quality of tropical
foods. [1] The institute came to
existence with the enactment of decree
32. of 1967. Part of the institute's
initial goals were to develop a better
productive farming system, the
selection and breeding of high yielding
crop varieties that are resistant to
diseases and pest and strengthening
agricultulral research in the humid and
tropic regions. The institute was
initially situated on a 1000 hectare
land.
The institute focused on a cereal
improvement program, grain and
legumes improvement program,
farming systems and root and tuber
improvement program. The grain and
legume improvement system consisted
of soybean , cowpea and tuber program
composed of yam and cassava. IITA
joined the CGIAR consortium in 1971.
It later added tree products such as
plantain and banana. Recently, IITA has
operated four research divisions:
Biotechnology and genetic
improvement, Natural resource
management, Social science and
agribusiness, and Plant production and
plant health.
