America should read the writing on the Wall, These people no longer want your presence on their soil, why not pack up and leave? Are the bases worth American lives? |
armadeo:Omo e be like say those boys too de receive shayi. E be like say dem no get paka BSUO or Bn Sgts no sabi their work. In all na de C.O. get a larger %tage of the fault. |
karnafiu03:Omo, na Daletians dominate the list oh! Those Cdts too de laushi. Dem need to change their BSUO or better still reassign another Bn CO to them. |
SadiqBabaSani:Withdrawal comes with an alternative, if you're withdrawn from the Academy you have the right to apply for re enlistment ( you'll start from Corporal or equivalent), but as an NCO in any of the services. I once knew a friend who was withdrawn in Termer two as an air force cadet ( second year) but later got re enlisted in the Army. Today he's a Warrant officer I.e. WO 2 |

I think it is a high time the government admit that they've lost the initiative in the prosecution of the insurgency. From technically defeated, to "they only attack soft targets" wetin we no go hear again? It is imperative that we push aside our bruised ego and seek external assistance, let's engage those South African Mercenaries- STTEPs ( specialized Task, training, Equipment and protection services) at least during the twilight stage of GEJ's administration they gained a lot of territories from the insurgents and sent them running. In addition, there needs to be change of guards at the military hierarchy, all the service chiefs need to relieved of their appointment ( with the exception of the chief of Air staff) a situation where they've exceeded the mandatory 35 years is no longer tenable, they lack creative ideas and have become lethargic. Those troops that have exceeded one year at the front lines need to be rotated out and fresh ones brought in. Finally, the EFCC needs to beam her searchlight on the military brass especially those in charge of acquisition or procurement of military weapons and hardware. The various CTOPs ( chief of training & ops)and DOAs ( Director of Admins) as well as Chief of inspection need to be quizzed. |
GamalNasser:I thought at first, there was no difference between Attack Helos and combat helos. But you were right there's a wide difference I just looked it up. Attack helps are more equipped and weaponised than combat helos which are just fitted with light weapons e.g. the Alpha Jet was not originally designed to be a Jet fighter but was meant to be a jet trainer. Here's a useful link. https://googleweblight.com/i?u=https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/attack-helicopter.htm&hl=en-NG |
We need full attack Apache helicopters, they move swiftly and are harder to target with surface to air missiles, they carry more missiles and do more damage cos of the pace and rapid fire.[/quote Do u think the Americans would sell us those choppers? Even their hand me down super Tucanos that we booked for since GEJ's tenure wouldn't be ready until next year. A lot of bilateral agreements, after sale arrangement and training needs to be settled before war equipment can be purchased. It's not like any item u pick up from the shelve and pay for. Buying American equipment is very cumbersome because of bureaucratic bottlenecks like the leahy law which forbids US from selling weapons or military hardware to any country suspected of violating human rights ( funny enough, they look the other way when it involves Saudi Arabia or Isreal) in addition u can't buy from a third party. Remember when we attempted to buy those choppers from Isreal and our efforts were frustrated by US? |
GamalNasser:Oga what's the difference BTW a combat helicopter and attack helicopter? |
GamalNasser:Did you bother to find out what became of the Mi- 24 helicopter? Are u aware the Helicopters purchased during GEJ's tenure were over inflated? Infact one was even unserviceable, This served as one of the evidence used by EFCC to nail Air Marshall Amosun the then chief of Air staff when the deal was brokered. I am a fierce critic of GMB but let's give him credit when the occasion demands it. Besides let's not also forget that the NAF has previously taken delivery of five (5) Mi - 35 attack helicopters under this current dispensation. The acquisition of the 2 helicopters would serve as a boost even if not for combat roles, it can also be used for recce or surveillance. |
Hmmmm, I would care less if the Supreme court removes Ortom. Benue state is one big mess, no visible project or development, all you have is a backlog of unpaid salaries and pension accrued to civil servants. I travelled along the Oturkpo - Makurdi express way and almost wept, at a point one had to take a detour through Naka. That road is an eyesore and a death trap. The only tangible thing the Governor has done this past 4years is just the signing of the Anti- grazing bill into law |

CrimeKsmart:If there's no compulsion in Islam, why does Apostasy ( renouncing your faith or converting) carry a death penalty in Saudi Arabia? |

The exercise should include the black listing of criminals in Nigeria who in turn would be prevented from traveling abroad. Especially drug peddlers who are giving us a bad name abroad. |
The same Scenario is playing out in Nasarawa State University, Keffi. Majority of the principal officials are Muslim, especially lecturers and HODs. If religious consideration and affiliation overrides Academic Proficiency/Merit, Then we are in for rough ride. |
Nuklex:Omo the frustration no get part 2 ![]() |
Toh! I wish them happy Married life, only Say Bubu no de give me joy. |
There was this General Emeka who wanted to reorganize the NDA, take it to that West point level. Salaries and bonuses were paid on time. No bullying. Even down to their diet was reviewed. The ogas saod he is spoiling the institution and had him removed. Na there I know say Niggerians no like better ti [/quote Guy, you're 100% correct. Gen Emeka really set a high standard, in terms of discipline, welfare professionalism and Academics. Then Cadets went for exchange programs in foreign academies like west point, Sandhurst and Hellenic academy Greece. He set an ordnance that any trip for cadets more than 500km, will be done by air .My younger brother was a casualty of his stance on discipline back in 2011 (58RC) he was withdrawn in his final year for a very minor offence (possession of hand set, which was a contraband, those days) with the Abokis every thing has gone to shit. |
For God sake when would our police start being being proactive and think outside the box? Let them launch sting operations, use an undercover agent with a tracker and panic button. Or if possible go with a gun. By the time 1,2,3 or 5 "one chance" operators are killed, they'll know it's not business as usual. But on the other hand, how can they be proactive when almost all their heads are Aboki quota system products? |
Hmmmm, so na wetin I for face if to say things work out BTW me n Vicky? |

Hmmmmm, some times I wonder if the X-sqaud ( a unit dedicated in fishing out corrupt officers) in the police force is still functional? Even with damning evidence like this, such officials would still be retained! Its high time the police hierarchy carry out an extensive purging in the service in order to rid itself of corrupt elements within. The Nigerian Police is fast becoming a symbol of corruption. I am of the opinion that the police hierarchy should create a unit of plain cloth detectives who's duty is to go undercover to profile criminal elements in the force with the view of publicly shaming and kicking them out of the force. In addition, they should also liaise with the civil populace to volunteer info or evidence to aid in their mission. |
