Frankly speaking, the excesses of NURTW needs to be checked. They have no relevance whatsoever. On a daily basis, this so called union extort hard working transporters (Okada riders and Commercial bus &Taxi operators) of their hard earned money, in spite of multiple taxation by local government officials, and ever increasing fuel cost, The union officials through their cohorts, Thugs and miscreants beat up and impound the vehicles of the Transporters, who fail to comply. If I may ask, all the monies remitted to these unions where does it go to? How is it spent? One Idiot of a chairman will sit somewhere and send his minions to oppress ordinary people working hard to eke a living, their sweat will be used in building palatial homes, acquiring fleet of exotic cars and bleeping chains of girlfriends. Tell me what does the union offer in return for the sale of those tickets? The government has to wake up and proscribe NURTW or turn it to a government run agency before the people get up chase all of them. Nonsense

This plane was not shot down by anybody, it probably malfunctioned and crashed, the alpha jets were bought during Gowons regime and are almost 50 years old

They were purchased in the 80s, during Shagari's tenure. Initially they were purchased as Jet trainers but later weaponised and subsequently used as fighters.

If the pilots are still alive, SERE ( survival, evasion, Resistance & Escape) mode would have been activated. I pray they make it to safety across enemy lines.

A Colonel should command a Battalion, Brigadier General, a Brigade and Major General a Division.

A Major should be commanding a Company not a Special Forces Battalion please.

A battalion can be commanded by a Major or Lt Col depending on the size. Same for a Division, which can be commanded by a Brig Gen or Major Gen. I know for a fact that 8th Div, (or one of the smaller Divs in Maiduguri or Yobe) has been commanded by several Brig Gens.

Ortom is a better governor. Suswan and his predecessors done use thuggery and godfatherism duck Benue state up. The interstates are in horrible conditions, the drivers in Benue break at least a dozen traffic rules when on the steering.. na only for Benue I done see where driver go carry 3 passengers for front. 4 for back. I'm not even gonna talk about their penchant for violence amongst the youth. Well you can't blame them for that.. farmers are known to be physically fit most times and full of energy. Plus poverty rate is alarming in that state. The Past PDP governors made sure they completely wrecked that state. Even th former NAFDAC DG was from that state and yet he couldn't use his position to attract a full reconstruction of the interstate that cuts Tru his hometown- Lessel in Ushongo LGA. The agricultural produce from Benue state alone, tomatoes from Gboko, yam from Zaki-ibaim, oranges melons and pork etc can sufficiently provide for the whole middle belt and southeast part of the country if optimized with mechanization but NO!!

Tell me which Progress has Governor Ortom made in Benue state? Even Suswam's first tenure was better than the entire time Ortom has spent cumulatively. It was during Suswam's tenure that the township roads in Makurdi were constructed. Ortom claimed Akume was the one looting the state dry, that's why there was no visible development. Now Akume has been booted out, yet nothing to show! Just take a trip along Naka - Ankpa road or Otukpo. - Makurdi road you'll weep. Ortom has nothing to show for the amount of funds accrued to the state, be It monthly subvention, Paris club refund or the various bail outs.

If not for societal expectation and demand, I am of the opinion that marriage is overrated. The stress for marriage no be here. Most of my guys that married are suddenly developing premature grey hair or going bald.
