Jobs/VacanciesGod,why Me? by samtoye(op): 1:12pm On Apr 06, 2008
Dear Job Seeker

I have seen a graduate with 1st class from one of the best university in Nigeria sit at home for several months without job, and with no hope for any job. The faith he had in his father's numerous connection proved ineffective to lift him from his present doldrum.Endlessly he waits and disappointed in life he became.
I have also seen poor graduate with lower credit from a remote polytechnic get job right from his NYSC, not ordinary jobs but jobs with mouth watering packages,He is now an household name,He lifted his family from the abject poverty his family was.

True Life Story
A bros of mine graduated from LASU, Economics,2.2,young at that time,His dad is a rich landlord in the area, with all the connections you can imagine. This bros waited, for days after his service, days turned into weeks, weeks into months, months into 4 years,we; his juniors graduated and still met him at home.
I can remember the bros attitude clearly,he said nothing good about Nigeria, neither did he see anything nice about God.He was outrightly frustrated and even considered going into crime.
One day he was called by a small local bank he applied to since, gladly he started work there.Just few months after, during the popular bank consolidation in Nigeria, the bank was bought over by a very big bank in Nigeria and luckily he was absorbed too.
Last week, I was in his official Toyota Camry 2007/2008 version,He was being driven,He was on the phone negotiating with a customer, He is now the branch manager of the Bank. His salary falls within N9 million per annum.
His success was within 1 years after all the waiting!

His story is similar to most of us,some of you came out with results not so good, some of you, your school is so unrecognized. Some of you graduated with good results, although you see yourself very brilliant but you have failed all job aptitude tests you have written so far, some, you always pass the test but when you go for interview, they never call you back.
At times you wonder whether God really exists, you know you have been a good prayerful Christian but it seems the devil is winning, you can't imagine the delay, you wake a times in the morning and ask whether you have done something wrong, you lose hope.
Let me tell you something,We humans are entities whose DESTINY is tied to TIME, "For the vision is for an appointed time, though it tarries, wait for it shall surely come,it shall not lie at the end".God is more interested in building your CHARACTER than your COMFORT!!!!!!!!!!
He sees you and sees what you are going through, there is an appointed time for you,our times are different, your time would definitely come. You will laugh at the end.
Impatience leads to crime,"there is no shortcut to the top of the palm tree".you have no excuse for crime,do not turn your journey of 4years to 40years.Do not be lazy, always add value to your life, your future is in your hands, blame your parent for what you were but you can't blame them for what you will become. Its not a crime to be born poor but its a crime to remain poor.BELIEVE IN YOURSELF,IN THE POWER YOU HAVE TO CONTROL YOUR OWN LIFE,DAY BY DAY.
Jobs/VacanciesBe Warned! by samtoye(op): 10:12pm On Jan 26, 2008
Dear Nairalanders

Last week,i received a text message saying that i should check my mail for my interview details,i called the glo number back to ask for the name of the company but the caller insisted that i should just check my mail for the details.
Till today,i'm still checking my mail for the details.

POINTS TO NOTE
I can't remember soliciting for employment in any company at that time.
All text messages from companies;to the best of my knowledge carries their name not any number.
I was called for interview without any aptitude test, very rare nowadays.
The caller had a caller tune ring tone(Glo song).

MY CONCLUSION
I wonder why some set of people, while others are struggling to make something of their life, they spend their time scheming and scamming, trying to part innocent people of their hard earned "sweat".

Is this fair? "LET NO MAN BE DECEIVED,WHATEVER A MAN SOWETH,HE SHALL REAP!!!"
Bewarned!!! When you gather the ill gotten money to spend, then the judgement of God shall come upon you!

Dear US2Nigeria

If the information you have given here is for real then you will be a hot cake in the communication market in Nigeria.
you have the qualification and the experience.
About the salary to expect, they pay well in the communication sector. At least GLO network advert in TELL magazine (cant Remember the date) searching for a technical officer(director status) was ready to offer 22 million naira per annum plus added benefits like commission on turnover, fringe benefits like accommodation, car, servants and allowances.MTN pays that well too.
This is the only help i can offer, find out from other sources too.GOOD LUCK.

N.B This information is given on a non professional basis,i hereby exempt myself from any liability thereof, any information given should be treated with caution and sound judgement.
Jobs/VacanciesBeware Of Opportunists by samtoye(op): 9:01pm On Dec 23, 2007
Reading much of the job postings here,it baffles me to discover that when others are trying to get honest paying jobs, some dissidents here think its an opportunity to explore their nefarious tendencies,

From what i see in cyber cafes(pls observe too),much of these "yahoooo" boys are people that dont know what it takes to be a graduate,i'm not saying there are no graduates but most of them are not, so it becomes scary that they now come to the forum where we have nigerian graduates to try out thier schemes!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the replies i have seen so far given by nairalanders to these suspected scammers,i would say i'm proud to be a member of these next generations of Nigerian youths(NAIRALANDERS).
Also kudos to the initiator(s),we will get there.
Caution to all "CAVEAT EMPTOR" "LET THE APPLICANT BEWARE".
Caution for the Scammers "WHATEVER A MAN SOWS,HE WOULD REAP!!!!"
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Urgent Vacancies! by samtoye(m): 7:58pm On Dec 23, 2007
my contribution

Akintos; i as a person has lots of reasons to doubt you due to the following point

1, if the advert was out since 26th september, why do you wait till december to inform the house? how many people would get the particular newspaper to verify?

2,why do you spend sooooo much time and soooooo much words convincing people?your zeal in getting people to register calls for caution!

3,when people begins to run behind religious quotations and make religious refrences to verify their mundane claims shows thier desperations and insecurity.

4,i noticed that you are almost a loner in your claims, nobody could verify, please lets have another witness from the house.

i posted a similar submission for ibtc and co,people that went verified and thanked me,i dint have to convince anybody.
So, akintos, these are my points,if you have good intentions, posterior events would justify you.but if your intention is to scam, WHAT GOES ROUND COMES ROUND,

i served(NYSC) in jos, before i went for service,i've lived in lagos all my life till my sevice year. i drove in jos,it was sooooooooooooooooooo easy. can you belive when i got back to lagos i looked like a bushman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stood at ojota one day and looked all around,i decided, LAGOS IS A HOUSE OF MADNESSSSSSSSSSSS!
