LOL. Buhari is the center ni? Please, explain this center you are talking of abeg? Is Senator and Reps not part of the center? Or wat are you talking about?
Buhari is the centre.

Even though I get what you trying to say, this is what we see in Nigeria.
The president controls everything.

I do not quite understand why these posters above me are insulting Tuface.

Is it that you want to blame and insult Buhari alone? while your govetnors, senators, and reps continue to rake in billions at your expense and do nothing?

Especially your governors...

I cringe at the ignorance when educated old men and women don't even know that their governors and reps are even supposed to do more for them than the President.

Last Last everyone is only playing politics while they all act as if they really care about governance.

Tuface is wrong to say "leave Buhari alone" but right to say we should call out our governors and senators.

The centre has too much power.
So people are right to call out the president.

You probably don't know that:

1. The day after tomorrow is called Overmorrow.

2. The first cry of a new born baby is called Vagitus

3. Your little toe or finger is called Minimus

4. The dot over an "I" or a "j" is called Tittle

5. When your stomach rumbles, that's a Wamble

Below are other words which most people presumably don't know exist.

We learn everyday.
I know about 1,3,4, and 5.

But it's not part of my everyday vocabulary.

As if opening a clinic is #5 naira.

How many Doctor has a clinic immediately after NYSC? It is not easy.

But I have seen pharmacist open community Pharmacy after NYSC.

Exactly!! Even some consultants don't earn well when compared to their colleagues in pharmacy. Especially those that are not in the academic system.

To make money as a Nigerian doctor, na PP sure pass. And to establish such a PP, it takes alot of time, capital and commitment
Very true.

If you want are medically inclined and you want to make money. Pharmacy is the best option.

The government hospital, yes!

In private sector where we all have equal grounds, the doctor will not even see the break light of the pharmacist.

If it's in Nigeria, doctor work no dey pay oo. I believe an average pharmacist will be richer than an average Nigerian doctor.
This is very valid.

Before the average doctor would start earning well,he must have become a consultant which will take atleast 10years.

But the pharmacist can start making money immediately. From community Pharmacy to giving license for importation et al.

Career / Re: Radiography Vs Nursing Which Is Better by samuelpeters(m): 6:11pm On Jul 01, 2022
ceaser:
Radiography, I believe you intend to write. Cos radiology is the preclude of Medical doctors who already have an MBBS. But radiography is non-medical doctors.

Just go for nursing abeg. You have two options viz: Basic nursing (3 years) and BSc nursing (5 years). The former is more clinically oriented and more challenging than the latter and of course I prefer it.

After your three years/five years depending on your choice, in fact while you are in your final year, sit for IELTS and the year you finish school, sit for your foreign exams and japa to the UK.

In short, Nursing is a surer way to japa to UK and Australia, surer than radiography.
Your points are valid except where you said "the 3 years basic Nursing is more clinically oriented than the 5years one"

That argument would have been valid some few years back. When University graduate Nurses were not allowed to go for internship inorder to solidify their knowledge in Nursing.

Right now, B.NSc is hot cake!
Little wonder 90% of all DE in Nursing Science already have RN. They always testify to the fact that B.NSc is superior.

Please update yourself.

You are wrong there was even a strike looming sometime ago where doctors claimed that they don't need nurses to work when the nurses were demanding for equal allowance....even up till now nurses is the least paid in paramedics

Again radiologist are not the one doing the job b4 now it's the x-ray technician....do u even know how shortage radiologist are perhaps the law does not permit them to administer radiation don't u get....what they can only do is ultrasound.
First off, we don't have paramedics in Nigeria.

Secondly, Nurses are not the least paid in Nigeria. They were, when the law couldn't decipher who is a University graduate Nurse and who is a RN Nurse. But it has been sorted out. They are on par with others.

Finally the X-ray technician didn't just start doing the job. Radiologist taught them.

Everything you know as a Radiographer was designed by a Radiologist. But they moved on to some other aspects that are important and left you guys with the basics.

Career / Re: Radiography Vs Nursing Which Is Better by samuelpeters(m): 3:38pm On Jul 01, 2022
Anytime questions like this come up, we change it to whose profession is better than the other.

Both courses are good in their own way. It all depends on what you want to do with it.

Both are recognized, have the same pay in government settings. But Radiography is slightly better than Nursing in private setting.

On a side note, If you do not want to be tied to the apron of medicine. That is; if you do not want doctors to supervise your work, then do not go for Radiography.

Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing are the oldest medical professions. As such they are independent. But anyother allied medical course is tied to medicine and was created due to technological advancement.

Therefore MLSt is always tied to pathologist, Radiographer will always be tied to Radiologist, Physiotherapist will always be tied to Orthopedic surgeons. Optometrist will always be tied to opthalmologist.

The other poster trying to disassociate Radiography from Radiology is day dreaming. No matter the knowledge you have in Radiography, it is nothing compared to Indepth Radiology which is beyond your scope.

These doctors designed your curriculum for you to be their subordinate not their equal or superior. Same goes for MLS, Optometry, and Physiotherapy.

If you don't want anybody to order you to do something, please go for Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing. Before any of you would want to argue about Nursing being subservient to Medicine, please visit any government hospital and see for yourself. Not one private setting that trained auxiliary Nurses.

Know this and know peace.

Romance / Re: Reality Every Guy Need To Know ( STRICTLY REDPILL) ... by samuelpeters(m): 6:47am On Jan 25, 2022
CaveAdullam:

1. Sound intellectual conversations boils down to IQ or the individuals who through pains and great learning has built themselves---few!

A woman who has a pure descent in Asia or Europe has a higher above average IQ score than a woman of African descent. Ergo, interesting conversation and relationship, coupled alongside: good environment, good standard of living and true political and economic system. Intelligence plays a huge role in the lives of people and once you understand this concept, you will begin to view people differently.

2. Genuine desire also plays an important role here: a woman interested in you from the onset will flow naturally when conversing. Because this interest is lacking, or, plus a conglomeration of simps, conversation is boring. And at this juncture, men begin to ponder and think of going extra miles to spice up the relationship so that she will be coerced out of her cocoon to become gregarious.

You must force words into the mouths of boring women if you are interested in having a conversation with them. Unfortunately, it is still a lost cause and end up stale because the conversation wouldn't be intellectual as presumed except for the outliers. To enjoy any conversation with women, go sexual.

Thanks.
The last sentence is apt.
One of my female friend complained that she had noticed I only talk about relationships, sexual stuffs with women. I told her "that is where most of you women are good at"

She said I should try her in other aspects. I didn't bother because I knew it was a lost cause.

Lol, Most of my Lecturers are PhD, you can't Lecture without PhD, a research degree isn't same as professional. Similar why MBA isn't giving masters status here in Nigeria.
Are you talking about pre-Clinicals?

In some schools,MBBS holders also double as PhD holders. According to NUC, you can't lecture in pre-Clinicals without your PhD. But this rule doesn't hold water in clinicals.

Can boys in universities explain the sudden slump in their performances, why is it that it's now the norm for girls to be best graduating students, not only that but in hitherto male dominated courses like engineering and medicine, this trend is happening in secondary and primary schools also, what is actually going on,what is really wrong with boys now?
Distractions here and there.
In higher institutions, you will find out that most guys are into something else. Things that will fetch money. After all, the end point of all these struggle is to make ends meet.

What is the gain of being the BGS and nothing to show for it later on.

It was in my first year. My parents were passing through difficult times, and had told me to defer it till next year but I refused.

I used all my saving and resumed.
Men! I was so broke like crazy. Hunger weh go make person de cry.
I started cooking for my roommates to get a plate of food in return.

One of my Classmates, Samuel would give me all his materials and allow me make notes before exams. I couldn't afford to buy lecture materials. May God continue to bless you Samuel.

From my 2nd year, everything became normal.

Since then, whenever I see people training themselves in school, I help them as much as possible. Because I knew how hard it was for me then.

Good morning sir or ma
My school doesn't have a teaching hospital. I was thinking of applying to a fertility clinic
Which school is that?
It's either a teaching hospital or FMC/General hospital. There's always one in your state.
What do you intend to do in the fertility clinic?

You should be looking at being grounded in Histopathology. Like biopsy/autopsy and tissue processing of different organs and it's interpretation and even mortuary technology.

Except you just want to do IT anyhow anyhow and leave.

Just as tonye001 said, apply to tertiary hospital close to you. preferably your school teaching hospital. Private lab and other institution may not give you the experience you desire.
