MrBrownJay1:You listed celebrities who obviously make a lot more than the average man and will find it difficult if they narrow their search for a partner to those who earn about the same or more than they do. Women do not like "dating down". They only do it out of necessity or "love" and the mainstream media also actively discourages them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9_cJ99Uyk4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOM8oYqG-4c&list=PLHzUxtHfOop0f6YQqVa9DwyinTVuaT99a&index=22 http://upscalemagazine.com/successful-women-should-stop-dating-down/ https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2015/nov/10/dating-gap-hook-up-culture-female-graduates The second link I shared has a celebrity (Chili from TLC who wrote "Scrubs" saying if she has to contribute to a vacation, she has to be going with her girls. Her man will have to sponsor the trip by himself. Just imagine what a wealthy women is saying in public yet we have gender equality (or is it equity, it's difficult keeping up) policies in almost all developed and developing nations with quotas in favor of women. |
SweetJoystick:What kind of statement is this? Are you speaking from a different planet or what? When the price was reduced, it took over 3 weeks for them to reflect the new price. Their mantra then was “old stock”. I was badgering the petrol stations around me daily for the new price after I read the news online. The opposite occurred every increase - I get to the station and discover a new price almost before it hits the news. No more “old stock”. I will continue to proclaim that the problem with Nigeria is Nigerians. Our leaders aren’t picked out of a different dimension and rise to power by their solitary efforts. We are all culpable either actively or passively. |
Many thanks to Metroxchange for his professional conduct during this transaction. He even gave me a discounted rate based on when we first started discussions for the items. Big ups! Now for me to take MTN up on their esim offer.

I hope that they continue finding new ways of taxing us. Why? Firstly, so that those who always retort that those leaving to better countries pay a lot in tax will realize why people would decide to do that. At the end of the day, they see the benefit of the taxes in infrastructure, healthcare systems, security, insurance and all the tenets of a functioning society. When we start paying comparable taxes and still do not have the basics like good roads and stable electricity, I hope those people start using the little intelligence they have to realize the folly of their words. Secondly, the average Nigerian is corrupt and narcissistic. We only think about enriching ourselves and are willing to go to any length to protect what we cherish. When corrupt politicians steal the nation's wealth we don't react not because we can't but because we feel it does not affect us personally in any way. The nation is a vague, transient and nebulous concept in our mind which seems far away. Such direct taxes that are visible and clear to see will erode our laid back attitudes and make us pay more attention to the policies politicians propose and eventually hold them accountable to their promises. I recently read about the French revolution (la guillotine baby) and the resonant effect it had on other nations (itself being an effect of the American revolution). Baby steps but we will get there eventually. |

holurinde:This!!! |
Corrinthians:Holding two or more opposing viewpoints is basically termed cognitive dissonance and yes, it is rampant in Nigeria. |
okeniti:Spot on! Nigerians feel entitled to everything others have including their dignity. We thrive on constant comparisons to others and trying to literally oppress others. Growing up, I naively believed “oppression” was just slang for making yourself better but now I realize it’s as described on the packaging. |

JaiyeOOI:OK. I'd like to know what it will cost to physically get this. Include shipping to Lagos. |

khalhokage:Bros, na wa o! Which kind greed be this? Only you Khal and Hokage at the same time? Drogo/Hajirama. |
frankmoney:I haven't come across a charger that charges this phone even moderately fast. Chargers that quickly top up phones from 2012 (No joke, a Q10) takes forever on this phone. Yes, I know it's a 4000mah battery but the Redmi 4x charges 2-3 times as fast as this. |
Phayteprecious1:Yes, she can. She'll need a signed letter of authorization from you and a copy of your valid ID. |
Live from Damboa road here. Saw people milling about on my way back from work. A CJTF vehicle on top speed almost hit a keke right in front of me. Made me realize this was the real deal. Dudes were running from the fight. Saw youths in the area arming themselves with guns, knives etc. Not sure why the military is flying jets and not helicopters for surveillance. A little calmer now though. |
Sync201:Sasaki is Kaneki. |
And I almost joined.. Thank God. |
kode12:It's probably to avoid bots and scripts from automatically mining his number. They normally scrape such using regular expressions which this will defeat. |
No surprises here. Criminals. |
seyema:Sorry for the laaate reply - Redmi 4X. Truly atrocious sound output. Only respite I get is when using bluetooth. MY unadulterated recommendation goes to the August EP650. Highly underrated but excellent over the head cans. Sound is amazing and can be used via USB, 3.5mm or Bluetooth - real triple threat. Stable bluetooth connection with aptX, battery life of ~10hrs and a very comfortable fit. Only gripe with it is that there's a pulsing light which still annoys me and can't be turned off. |
