sorry, but are you targetting a Prof to kidnap?
How much to demand as a ransom?

Lol :-) Kidnap? Ransom? If i had that kinda mind,i'll stand on the road with an Ak47. I just wanted an idea of how much they earned.

Phones / Re: New Glo Blackberry Packages: Best Deal Across Board by Samunosuke(m): 10:25am On Sep 13, 2011
Shocked 2 hear that glo performs poorly where you are.Network performance is based on location so the more congested your neighbourhood is, the worse the performance.Where i am (Makurdi),Glo is the best, followed by etisalat while airtel and mtn belong to the depths of tartarus.3.5g to boot.Made a 87 minute skype call 2 days ago to US via Glo 3.5g and there was no break or stuttering.Thats how reliable they are for ME.
Phones / Re: New Glo Blackberry Packages: Best Deal Across Board by Samunosuke(m): 9:58am On Sep 13, 2011
I'm so getting a blackberry to complement my n8.Glo rules.Simples.

Ps. Hope they update their Always packages and include more data allowance.Imagine if they introduce #1000 Always micro with 500mb and/or #3000 Always macro with 3gb. I believe that we are seeing the benefits of the glo-1 cable here.
Everyone repeat after me,Competition favours customers.
Phones / Re: Glo Free 200mb? by Samunosuke(m): 10:50am On Sep 07, 2011
Alrite, Thanks.I'll try it again next week when my always micro subscription finishes. Crossing my fingers.
Phones / Re: Glo Free 200mb? by Samunosuke(m): 2:20pm On Sep 06, 2011
Ok but I wanted to know if it has to be a single #1000 recharge card or multiple #500 cards coz i haven't been offered even 5mb despite my bi-monthly always micro subscriptions.Any pointers?
Phones / Glo Free 200mb? by Samunosuke(m): 3:41pm On Sep 05, 2011
Does anyone have any info on glo's free up to 200mb on recharges of #1000 and above? First saw it about a month back when i wanted to subscribe for always micro but due to the fact that i loaded #500 cards i took it that it applied to single cards of #1000 and above.Fast forward to last week and i hunted for #1000 cards (they are kinda scarce) but even then i didn't get anything.

Tl:dr Is there anything special i need to do in order to activate the free 200mb?
Business / Re: The Customer Service Name And Shame Thread by Samunosuke(m): 12:53pm On Aug 24, 2011
Called quicksilver customer care yesterday via skype and the 15 minutes i spent on the phone were my most pleasurable interaction with customer care in my life (and i've lived in London).Informing me of her actions every step of the way. On the other hand, GTB ( the other party involved ) were quite dismissive. Not rude, just indifferent.
Gaming / Re: PES 2012 Vs FIFA 2012: Which Soccer Game Would You Prefer? by Samunosuke(m): 5:37pm On Aug 17, 2011
Whoa!!!!I was arguing this same thing with my neighbour the other day.He was of the opinion that PES curb stomps all over FIFA but after i broke everything down for him, with a detailed comparison between the PS3 and Xbox360 versions,he saw things differently.

In its time Pro 6 was the greatest game in the world but since FIFA 09, EA have it all in the dufflebag.Teamplay, dribbling, player runs, pass accuracy,''finesse shot modifier'',penalties,in fact i don't have anything else to say.
Phones / Re: New MTN Tariff Plans: F&F Xpanded, Funlink Reloaded, & Super Saver by Samunosuke(m): 5:12pm On Aug 12, 2011
I only have one thing to say right now.MTN SUX, GLO RULES.*For me at least*
Just saw Glo 3.5G on my phone yesterday here in Makurdi.Suck on that, losers.
Properties / Re: Building A Student Hostel : Profitability And Challenges by Samunosuke(m): 4:01pm On Jun 18, 2011
In calabar hostels in etta-agbor located close to Unical cost about 180k,while those around marian road are about 150k.Thats rent only, no generator,a.c etc.
In makurdi, for B.s.u 70k will get you a very spacious place. For UniAgric,d highest right now is 80k but there are a lot of ongoing building projects so the price might soon drop.No gen or a.c etc too.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Alex Song Vs John Mikel Obi by Samunosuke(m): 10:20pm On Nov 28, 2010
Mikel is a very average player.
PROS.
Good passing
Strength on the ball
Disciplined in what he does

CONS.
Lacks speed
Inability to drive forward
Inability to score
Lack of skill

His aerial ability is average (bordering on poor factoring his height)

I'm not directly comparing both coz they swap some attributes. They have their strengths but i personally believe Song edges it due to his importance to his team.

Wow!!! I read through the whole thread expecting to see someone wise and discerning offering true insight into this oft overlooked malady.
The solution is VERY SIMPLE:picture the audience unclothed. Preferably the opposite gender(except you have umm,  preferences) and not in a sexual way. It'll make you smile and voila, confidence.

This Liyel Imoke is a confirmed mugu. I just don't understand why such a dullard was brought in to rule this state. In all his years in power, he hasn't achieved one meaningful thing. The guy doesn't even know how to properly steal. For F*&^ sake.

Updated mine to v40 last nite using zain lite - 17mb +. All i've got to say is that this is the best update ever (i started on v10. so ive been through them all from january last year).Played with a friends 5530 a few weeks back and i was so jealous of kinetic scrolling and better homescreen but luckily nokia have rewarded my faith in this phone.
Major improvements (for me)
New homescreen
Kinetic scrolling
Improved touchscreen responsivity
Slightly better battery life

Issues
NO KINETIC SCROLLING IN MAIN MENU(this is major as it provides a very inconsistent structure.Due to this at times i forget i've got kinetic scrolling)
Locking screen with code results in a half locked screen(homescreen elements are viewable on the bottom half on the screen but is locked)
Screen randomly looses all responsiveness (easily fixed by locking and unlocking the screen)
Music player is not always running(for an xpressmusic this is unacceptable when my ancient 5300 had it and with the new homescreen the music player widget exits, leaving a blank space which is not aesthetically pleasing. On the 5530 and n97 music player widget never exits)
No calendar and search on homescreen

This issues lead me to beleve that soon a new firmware(possibly v41 will be released which will at least fix some of this issues kinda like the stability update from v30 to v31).
Notwithstanding, i feel as though i've gotten a new device so i urge u all to update as soon as possible

Computers / Re: Starcomms Izap - Is It Really Fast As Starcomms Claim? by Samunosuke(m): 4:59am On Sep 26, 2009
BTW anyone know how much starcomms charge for like PAYG browsing? Thanks.
Computers / Re: Starcomms Izap - Is It Really Fast As Starcomms Claim? by Samunosuke(m): 4:56am On Sep 26, 2009
Seriously, starcomms is cool. Mine says EVDO Rev. O which tops out @ 2.4 Mbps which will give you download rates of ~300KB/s. For the fact that i cross 200KB/s means its ok. Plus i also do other things in the meantime. One thing about starcomms is that is seems to have a lot of overhead bandwith enabling u to do several things at good rates but not one thing @ exceptional rates. I expect that by the time they upgrade to Rev.A (3.2 Mbps) we'll see speeds of ~300KB/s. Main advantage of Rev.A over Rev.O lies in the upload speeds not even downloads. I think they are trying.

phizz:

N.B.S.T.O
LWKMD

I don't get your txtspk. Care to clarify wat N.B.S.T.O LWKMD means?

On another note just got my starcomms yesterday and what i get from their recent adverts, it seems like the izap service was just extended to calabar and ibadan. Luckily, i'm a recipient of this extension. No time to post screenshots or anything but i can run about 7 downloads all going @ about 30KB/s.

The guy who supplied it to me said starcomms where receiving complains about their upload speeds being low, so they throttled back the downloads and increased the uploads. Anyways don't care as long as they don't drop below this.
Computers / Re: Starcomms Izap - Is It Really Fast As Starcomms Claim? by Samunosuke(m): 8:39am On Sep 17, 2009
Trust i've used IDM 4 a long time and i agree it has impressive speeds, other factors discourage me from using it not raw speed alone. Plus registration issues also kept me @ bay. Prefer sumting dats free and has no hassles. Look who dey talk about awoof.
Computers / Re: Starcomms Izap - Is It Really Fast As Starcomms Claim? by Samunosuke(m): 12:05am On Sep 17, 2009
Yep, seconded for orbit here. Nice clean lookin' interface and easy to use + u can grab online multimedia with it, all this free, no hacks cracks or whatever. Second is free download manager like orbit but supports torrents and all.
Computers / Re: Windows 7 - What Do You Think? by Samunosuke(m): 6:32am On Jul 11, 2009
Chrome os seems mostly cloud-based, ok 4 advanced nations but in developing nations,no.
Doubt the media powerhouse that is apple will release software for it,instantly alienating millions of iphone/ipod users.
Linux has been here 4 a long time and it hasn't hurt microsoft so what changes?Granted backed by a big name, chrome os might go a long way but probably only on netbooks. I doubt i'll do video encoding or renders on it.
Did i mention games?Even if ur not a gamer,u have to agree thats one trump card microsoft has that isnt going away soon.
But, its not all bad chrome os will definately have speed and stability going for it,some people crave that.I doubt personally i'll dump ubuntu for it.Not with free shipit cd's.
Computers / Re: All P2p Users' Thread by Samunosuke(m): 6:11am On Jul 11, 2009
I've used p2p 4 a long time now, started out with kazaa(fasttrack network) and it was great as long as u knew how 2 search properly.Fastforward and kazaa is dead,so now i've got limewire, piolet, ares and utorrent(free download manager also gets torrents and imo is faster). While they slow the connection,i dont leave them on always especially limewire. On ubuntu, ive got transmission and frostwire.
