Dsage1: And where did both religions came from?Ishmael, the son of Sarah's handmaid founded what is known as Islam today. Since he grew up under Abraham, he must have learnt one or two things from Abraham's household but he and his mother were asked to leave the household since his mother was not legitimately married to Abraham. And before that, the birth of Ishmael came as a prophecy to Hagar by an Angel who told Hagar that: "You are now with a child and you will have a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the Lord has heard your misery. 12.He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hands will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers." ---- Gen 16:11-12. The above took place while Hagar fled the home of Abraham. And although she returned, she left the house with Ishmael after she mocked Sarah. (Gen 21:8-20). And @the topic: We certainly do not worship the same God. |
This has nothing to do with deliverance. The problem here is simple, the moment you here that voice trying to justify your impending action, then you should understand that your consciousness or the devil is at work. From your explanation, it is a weakness and it could be very dangerous if you continue. That you are a teacher of the word is not enough. If truly you want to put an end to it, then I'll recommend that you both agree not to meet in secluded areas or places. Fornication does not come by accident; you must have harbored the thought for it come to be. And if you are not ready to tie the nuptial knot anytime soon, it would be better you maintain a healthy and Godly relationship with your partner. Stay off from things that could cause you to go back, read the Word more often, turn to God and ask Him for the Grace to overcome the flesh. Sometimes, people commit a particular sin not because they want to, but because their will is not theirs again. The devil has taken over their will and he controls them at will. I believe you understand the Word, to some extent. Still, would you prefer to dabble into something that leaves you with nothing but regrets? Just like Apostle Paul, you must strive for the mastery and try to keep your body under check/subjection. The flesh cannot rule over the Spirit. #Shalom |

SonofIssachar: The next time you feel like GOD can't use you, just remember...I quite agree with some of what you listed as flaws but Samson's long hair was never a disadvantage. Moreso, no one is TOO qualified, that is why God has substitutes for each person. You can be qualified but never TOO qualified. An example of this is when Elijah told God that He was the only ONE who had not bow down to Baal... God disappointed him by telling him that he had 7000 (Seven thousand men who had not done the same). When God calls us or uses us, it is not because we are QUALIFIED; rather, God qualifies the called and not the other way around. It is an opportunity for us when we are called and used by God. No One is TOO qualified. That is why the Scripture says 'Let him who think he stands take heed, lest he falls' #Shalom! |

italo: You may attend one million "churches" and it is fine.I totally disagree... It is dangerous for a Christian to do so. As a matter of fact, such an action would eventually result to the individual's inability to be deeply rooted in the Scriptures. People who do so largely end up creating problems for themselves. Doctrines differ and jumping from one church o another will hinder the fellow to confuse his/herself. |

I had rabbits as pets in the past and based on research and observation, I have come to discover that rabbits are social animals; it is recommended that in constructing rabbitries or a rabbitry, one must make adequate provision for spaces/space within the cage. I'm about constructing a rabbitry and I hope to upload pictures shortly. |

egift: People like you think that they can use their serpent infested tongue to set Nigeria on fire. It will not work. Your frozen stone heart is only yours to bear.I am a patriot, not taken by politicians nor lying tongues. And @the bolded, I agree, but how many of these people will one day be brought to book when they wield the wand of power? NO politician nor political party is worth my time, trust, energy and resources. None of them are saints. I guess my signature would be able to tell if I'm a what I describe myself to be or not. |

https://static.goal.com/410700/410735_heroa.jpg While infamously declaring his preference for Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo last year, Sepp Blatter displayed a surprising level of insight when he mused that the Barcelona No.10 is “a good boy ... and that's what makes him so popular.” The Fifa president unwittingly underlined that while the Portuguese may be an advertisers' dream, he has long since lost the Public Relations battle in the war for the title of the greatest player of the 21st century. In the eyes of his critics, Ronaldo's greatest crime appears to be that he is not Lionel Messi. Even when it comes to comparing their respective capabilities on the field, it is often claimed that the Argentine has the edge because of a mysterious ‘X factor’. Diego Maradona even wrote last month that "Cristiano can do what Lionel Messi does ... well, almost” - without offering any clarification as to what exactly it was that Ronaldo is incapable of doing. The suggestion that the Madeira native is lacking something seems particularly ludicrous after a season in which he scored 51 goals, 11 of which came either via his head or his ‘weaker’ left foot, and ended with him placing a Champions League winners’ medal in his trophy cabinet alongside the Ballon d’Or for 2013. We are talking about a serial winner who also happens to be the perfect footballing specimen; an ideal blend of physique and technique; a player of both style and substance. As Michael Owen says, Ronaldo has it all. "As a complete player, I will say he is probably the best ever,” the former England international told Goal. “He is fast, scores goals, he is both footed, he has skills and can score with his head. He is also strong and plays every game, so he is durable. “There isn’t anything he can't do." Of course, being complete does not necessarily equate to being the greatest of all time. George Best once claimed: “I’m better than Pele. I can kick with both feet.” But, while there are some who would argue that the enigmatic Manchester United winger was more naturally gifted than the Brazil legend, nobody would claim that Best deserves to rank alongside a player who proved himself as strong mentally as he was physically during a far longer and far more illustrious playing career. Ability is not the only factor when it comes to determining true greatness. Physicality, versatility, mentality and footballing intelligence must also be considered. However, Ronaldo undeniably ticks many of the boxes. https://u.goal.com/436400/436433_heroa.jpg Physically, he is almost beyond compare. At 1.85 centimetres tall and weighing 80 kilograms, he boasts the optimum fusion of power and speed that comes with the frame of super-middleweight boxer. His upper-body strength is such that he only ever goes down of his own accord, while his sprinter-like thighs not only generate sufficient force to strike the ball just as explosively with either foot, but also provide the springboard for leaps of astounding height and sustained hang time. That he is also one of the most accomplished headers of a ball in world football is testament to another attribute, and this time of the mental variety: his dedication to his profession. Ronaldo was unquestionably blessed with talent, however, he has harnessed his ability to the absolute maximum degree. Thierry Henry once admitted that while he feels that “Lionel Messi is the best player in the world, I respect the amount of work Cristiano has put into the game”. Ronaldo has certainly come a long way since he first made a name for himself with Sporting 11 years ago. He is no longer the skinny kid with the endless repertoire of flicks and tricks that terrorised Manchester United during a friendly in Lisbon during the summer of 2003. At 29, he is now a true athlete. The evidence of the hard work to which Henry referred is there for all to see. As Ronaldo underlined by taking off his shirt to celebrate a largely inconsequential penalty in the final seconds of Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Atletico in the final of the Champions League, he is incredibly proud of a physique that has even drawn praise from Arnold Schwarzenegger. "He's in amazing shape," the former Mr. Universe once stated. "That's why he's such a great footballer." Ronaldo's topless celebrations are, of course, viewed as vanity; shameless displays of Ronaldo’s perceived arrogance. But one could argue his impressive physical condition is a source of mental strength as much as it as a source of physical strength. As Stanley Matthews, 'The Wizard of Dribble', once declared: “Fitness is confidence.” The better Ronaldo looks, the better he feels and the better he plays. And there is no denying that he has consistently delivered in the biggest games over the past six or seven years. Pressure has never been an issue for him. Not since he first came under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. https://u.goal.com/437800/437844_heroa.jpg "After I joined, the manager asked me what number I'd like," Ronaldo once explained. "I said '28'. But Ferguson said, 'No, you're going to have No. 7' - and the famous shirt was an extra source of motivation. I was forced to live up to such an honour." However, while he subsequently decided innumerable games at the highest level in the favour of United, Real Madrid and Portugal, he has never proven himself capable of running one - and this is perhaps why he falls just short of being the most complete player in history. Johan Cruyff, for example, was Total Football’s Total Footballer. Like Ronaldo, Cruyff was a winger by trade. But he was so much more than that. He wasn’t just a key player on the game’s grandest stages, he was a director. So deep was his understanding of time, space and movement that in the book 'Brilliant Orange' he is said to have been akin to a "chess master playing 20 different games simultaneously". Cruyff was a product of a revolutionary footballing philosophy based on the principle that every player could play in every position. Yet Alfredo Di Stefano had been doing that almost 20 years beforehand. "He was, simultaneously, the anchor in defence, the playmaker in midfield, and the most dangerous attacker up front,” legendary coach Helenio Herrera once said of the ‘Blonde Arrow’. It is difficult to see Ronaldo ever being capable of such tactical discipline and positional versatility. However, the Portuguese’s insatiable desire for self-improvement continues to drive him forward and only last week he expressed his desire to play on until 2021. Will that be sufficient time to prove himself the most complete player of all time? Who knows. But one thing is for sure: it won’t be for the lack of trying. On the 14th of May, 2012, Muhammadu Buhari, having lost the Presidential election to President Jonathan in 2011, made some statements I have been forced to fall back on in the wake of being attacked by the dreaded sect – Boko Haram. Before I proceed, I must say this for the purpose of some pro party members who might not take this too well. I am not a fan of any political party because I have grown and I have come to understand that politics, politicians and their parties are nothing but the same – cheats, and recycled from the same dust bin of shamelessness, thievery and old men who guise under the umbrella of experience. Hence, no one should pin me to any political party because I am not interested in joining one. Having read Omojuwa’s distasteful article which screamed APC from the beginning to the very end, I was compelled to write this, with the intent of creating what I believe is ‘balance’. Back to 2012… Buhari, who spoke to press men in 2012 about the 2011 election, I believe, is not different from the one we have now, save for the fact that his party has been transformed from the CPC to the APC. Permit me to quote some of what he said back then; “Since the leaders do not listen to anybody but does whatever they wish, there is nothing the North can do… I would like to Prof. Ango Abdullahi, who said there are three Boko Harams, including the original one, led by Muhammed Yusufu, who was killed and his supporters tried to take revenge in attacking the law enforcement agencies and politicians.Having arrived at this, if we’re to imagine which of the Boko Harams attacked Buhari, which would it be? The Muhammed Yusufu Boko Haram which is believed to be largely funded and sponsored by Northern leaders or the Boko Haram whose only mission is to steal and to kill, or the Federal Government Boko Haram, who (presumably) attack opposition parties in a bid to have the upper hand in the face of threats? Buhari was attacked, true, but by whom? Himself? Some random guys or the PDP? Boko Haram, overtime, has had few failed attempts in a quest to make known their madness. Regardless, their success rate at executing their plans and seeing that it is successful is so high that I would grade them 93%. Often times, foiled Boko Haram attacks are largely as a result of tip offs and the use of amateurs in carrying out their missions but would it have been that easy for a sect who calculate their attacks to miss on an important Northern personality, who has overtime generated controversies by saying that the founder of Boko Haram was killed and not punished by the law? For those who saw the clip recorded by an unknown onlooker when the attack failed, how possible was it that Buhari could responded quite calmly by not fleeing the site of the attack immediately it happened, particularly with the number of people who trooped around him and without being afraid that one of the onlookers could still be wearing C4 explosives under his/her clothing? In a case of an attack on a dignitary, such individual is shielded from harm’s way and evacuated from the venue of the chaos to some safe place with immediate effects, why was Buhari’s any different from other dignitaries all over, particularly when it was obvious that a serious attack was issued on his life? I am dead sure that rookie/newly recruited Boko Haram desperados would not have been sent to lay the ambush. If in any way it was real, how did the plan fail exactly? Why would Buhari still stay at the site of the ambush for just one minute when he knows that the fate of better governance hangs on him? The former CPC Presidential candidate has been linked with the dreaded sect overtime, although no proof has seen to that effect. Still, if he is innocent, why would the OTHER Boko Haram attempt to assassinate APC’s potential President when they understand that they would be the prime suspect if anything of such happens? I leave the thought-provoking questions to readers to debate and ponder on while I conclude with one of Williams Shakespeare’s quotes which reads; “God hath given you one face, and you make yourself another.” #Sanchez01 PS: This is the video link to an amateur coverage of the blast; Buhari is seen moving among onlookers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xg9PC861TI . Some should help bring the video here. Thanks. |

OP, I sense you were rejected, shey? It's alright. I read through your post and all I could see was rejection and anger. Being an alumnus, I hear how people take a swipe at the school's image. There are good schools in Nigerua and OAU is definitely one of the best. I respect all schools, great and small but what makes the school great is what you might never know. The ceaseless drillings, readins and toilings are enough to invoke a demon in you. I guess the name and the image of the school are largely responsible for your inferiority complex. It is not nad if you still want to try ![]() |

I lost mine about two and half years ago. She was the most adorable ever. She was a very huge white rabbit with pink eyes. I called Kiki... I could remember her nibbling at anything that came her way. I was still in school back then and she would occupy my mind even right there in class . Kiki would claw at anyone who carried her, save for me. It was a local environment and most people there had never seen something of such. She was never caged. Her rabbitry could not hold her, so I had to let her run in the compound while she returned to a shady place near her rabbitry whenever she was bored.Friends would come into the compound at will to see her. What marvelled people was her huge size, which made a target . I could remember returning from lectures that fateful day. I was so excited because it was a Friday, which meant Kiki would see more of me. Little did I know that my early morn feeding would be the last time I ever feed her. According to friends who had access to my compound and my room. They claim they didn't see her when they came in. It was obvious that she had been stolen because her rabbitry was somewhat out of place. Worst of all was some muddy foot prints in the compound. Kiki was rabbitnapped by some unknown gunmen. The period was devastating for me. It took me well over 4months to get over her. Her rabbitry would always remind me of her. Well, that was a while back. I'm planning on raising another now, just taking my time. I'm home and the idea of getting a rabbitry has been coming to mind. My compound is big enough but I have learnt a lesson in a very hard and costly way . |

@OP, ALL snakes have heat receptors. The reason for this is probably a make up for their sight. Some snakes do this via the skin while some, their forked tongue. Other than this, they (including the Boa) can sense presence via vibrations. |
